CEFR emphasizes language use. This implies:
Conducting lessons using the target language.
Interacting for communication purposes.
Using tasks which support learning.
Scaffolding input and modifying teacher language.
Resolving misunderstandings and negotiating
meaning in the target language.
Making the target language the means as well as the
focus of lessons.
3. Task-based interaction
Task-based interaction is actually where language
learning occurs.
Learner is able to monitor performance and test
hypotheses about language.
Learner is engaged in a continuous process of co-
constructing and extending meanings in
contextualised activities.
4. Learning Oriented Assessment
LOA involves the collection and interpretation of
evidence about performance, so that judgments can
be made about further language development to
promote learning.
