3. INTRODUCTION
• Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather
patterns. These shifts may be natural, but since the 1800s, human activities
have been the main driver of climate change, primarily due to the burning of
fossil fuels (like coal, oil, and gas), which produces heat trapping gases.
• Climate change includes major changes in :
• Temperature
• Precipitation
• Winds
• Otherindicators
4.
5. Volcanic eruption
• When a volcano erupts it
throws out large volumes
of sulphurdioxide (SO2),
water vapour, dust, and ash
into the atmosphere
Ocean current
• The oceans are a major
component of the climate
system. Ocean currents
move vast amounts of heat
across the planet.
6. Earth orbital changes
• The earth makes one full orbit
around the sun each year. It is
tilted at an angle of 23.5 to the
perpendicular plane of its
orbital path. Changes in the tilt
of the earth can lead to small
but climatically important
changes in the strength of the
seasons.
Forest fire
A wildfire is any uncontrolled fire in an area of
combustible vegetationthat occurs in the
countrysideor a wilderness area.
7. ARTIFICIALFACTORES
• Human activities
There is strong evidence that the climate change over the
last half-century has beencaused largely by human activity,
such as the burning of fossil fuels and includingagriculture
and deforestation.”
8. EmIssion of green house
gases such as.......
• Watervapour, Carbon dioxide,
methane nitrous oxide ozone
Solar radiation
51% of solar radiation absorb
by earth. 20% scattered by the
clouds 19% absorb by clouds
and atmosphere and 6%
scattered by atmosphere.4%
reflected bysurface.

10. Effects of climate change
• Hotter temperatures
• Increased drought
• Loss of species
• More health risks
• Poverty and displacement
11. Global warming
Global warming is the increases of Earth’s
avereage surface temperature due to effect of
green house gases.
12. Hotter temperatures
• Nearly all land areas are seeing
more hot days and heat waves;
2020 was one of the hottest
years on record. Higher
temperatures increase heat-
related illnesses and can make
it more difficult to work and
move around. Wildfires start
more easily and spread more
rapidly when conditions are
hotter.
13. Increased drought
• Water is becoming scarcer in more
regions. Droughts can stir
destructive sand and dust storms
that can move billions of tons of
sand across continents. Deserts are
expanding, reducing land for
growing food. Many people now
face the threat of not having
enough water on a regular basis.
14. Loss of species
• Climate change poses risks to the
survival of species on land and
in the ocean. These risks increase
as temperatures climb. Forest
fires, extreme weather, and
invasive pests and diseases are
among many threats. Some
species will be able to relocate
and survive, but others will not.
15. More health risks
• Changing weather patterns are
spreading diseases such as
malaria.Extreme weather events
increase diseases and deaths, and
make it difficult for health care
systems to keep up. Other risks
to health include increased
hunger and poor nutrition in
places where people cannot grow
or find sufficient food.
16. Poverty and displacement
• Climate change increases the
factors that put and keep people
in poverty. Floods may sweep
away urban slums, destroying
homes and livelihoods. Heat can
make it difficult to work in
outdoor jobs. Weather-related
disasters displace 2.3 crore
people a year, leaving many more
vulnerable to poverty.
36. CONCLUSION
• If We have to fight climate change, industries
and corporations have to take decisive large-
scale action. I would like to end my speech by
saying that only spreading awareness isn’t the
answer. It’s time to act, as actions yield
results.
