Flow Kana is a San Francisco-based sustainable
cannabis brand that delivers “farm-to-bowl”
product sourced from small-batch boutique
growers located within the Emerald Triangle of
Northern California. Products are grown free of
chemicals, under the warm California sun and
delivered in under an hour.
THE STORY Flow Kana approached Moonshot to handle its
initial media launch, messaging and
positioning and subsequently engaged
Moonshot to assist in event marketing and
ongoing PR efforts.
RESULTS
Through its launch and subsequent media outreach, Moonshot was instrumental
in establishing Flow Kana both nationally and internationally as a pioneer in
sustainable cannabis, coining the phrase “Clean Cannabis Movement” to
describe its operating philosophy.
Flow Kana received and continues to receive ongoing
exposure in top-tier media outlets.
Flow Kana's initial launch received significant coverage in: TechCrunch, SF
Chronicle, Fast Company, PSFK, Mother Jones and more.
Moonshot debuted Flow Kana at the SXSW Interactive Festival in Austin, TX, and
earned media placements in: Inc., Fortune, Business Insider and TechCrunch, and
was described as one of the best marketing campaigns of SXSW 2015.
In April 2016 Moonshot assisted Flow Kana with the launch of
“The California Way,” the first-ever omnichannel marketing campaign for a cannabis
brand. The California Way earned feature stories in MediaPost, CampaignLive, AdWeek,
SF Chronicle, Mic, and more.
