Audio Engineering
Audio Engineering
I am passionate about audio engineering and a can see myself doing it as a career. I have always
pushed myself to learn more about music, and the skills I have learned have helped me to realize
that I want to work in the recording industry. Starting a career in audio recording has traditionally
involved training through an informal apprenticeship system. With the rush of new technologies
that have revolutionized the recording industry in recent years, and the opportunities that new
media are opening up for recording professionals, a higher level of training and education in music,
media and technology is now required for any meaningful employment, even at the entry level.

Music of Robert Schumann as a New Stage in the Development...
Music of Robert Schumann as a New Stage in the Development of Romanticism
Music of Robert Schumann embodies many of the most characteristic features of German
Romanticism deep psychological insight, aspiration for the ideal, intimacy, irony and bitterness.
Advanced aesthetic tendencies of German culture in the period of 1820 40s found vivid expression
in his music. In contradictions, which are inherent in Schumann s music, reflected the complex
contradictions of the social life from his time. His music is filled with a restless, rebellious spirit
that puts him in the same line with Byron, Heine, Goethe, Wagner and others. However, the theme
of rebellion in the music of Schumann has a psychological, but very lyrical representation.
Compared to Heinrich Heine, Victor Hugo, and Ludwig Van Beethoven who viewed the world
through the prism of social injustice, Schumann did not aim towards social revolt. The greatest part
of his diverse heritage was his personal confession in music. Schumann s piano music, for instance,
Kreisleriana, Op.16 and the Symphonic Etudes, op.13, are truly a musical encyclopedia of the
human soul with many nuances and tones, with shades of colors of joy, sorrow, anguish, doubt and
struggle, dreams and anxieties, rush, despair, faith and courage.
E.T.A. Hoffmann in his writing Dichtungen und Schriften defined genius as a person who is able to
touch us, to move us mightily, the artist himself must be deeply affected in his own heart. Effective

In general, I think Deloitte Consulting is a great company to be at. It s a real fratty culture,
people are always active and you meet some of your really great friends. That said, it really
depends what your goals are. I think starting out at Deloitte Consulting is a great place. You get
some good training, some client exposure and can see friends across the country with
alternative travel. If you have a family and you re traveling every week, it can be a real drag and
perhaps it s not the optimal place. I think the happiest people were Analysts and Principals. I
started at Deloitte Consulting, straight out of school. I think though, part of it comes down to a
lot of luck. If you re flying to nobody vile Montana every week, with a skimpy expense budget
and needing to work on Sundays for some integration testing, yea it s not great. If you re flying
every week to San Diego to do some exciting new pursuit with a healthy expense budget working
only the requisite 8 6, it rocks. Also, there s not as much latitude in what you re doing. For
example, if you want to do Media work, but Deloitte thinks you re a real utilities guy, then you re a
utilities guy, but honestly, I don t think this is true just for Deloitte, I think that s true at any
consulting firm. You re going to go where you add the most value,

The Serpent-Vampire in Keats Lamia Essay
The Serpent Vampire in Keats s Lamia
The origin of the lamia myth lies in one of the love affairs of Zeus. The Olympian falls in love
with Lamia, queen of Libya, which was, for the Greeks, the whole continent of Africa. When Hera
finds out about their love, she destroys each of Lamia s children at birth. In her misery, Lamia
withdraws to the rocks and caves of the sea coast, where she preys on other women s children,
eating them and sucking their blood. To recompense his mistress, Zeus gives her the power of
shape shifting. Perhaps as a reflection of this versatility, the monstrous race of lamiae of Africa are
composite beings, with the heads and breasts of women, but the bodies of serpents. In this earliest
incarnation, Lamia is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
When Telemakhos meets Helen in Sparta, she still can charm her listenersand even jest about her
infidelity of twenty years earlier when the Greeks besieged Troy, daring all for the wanton that I
was (IV, 157). While she is not a vampire, she has caused the bloody deaths of numberless Trojans
and Greeks.
Immortal temptresses hold out that same promise of heightened sexual experience, but they add
to that the lure of an escape from the ordinary world into a dream land of perpetual youth and
eternal life. They can raise man above his mortal station. In this category we can place the
Homeric goddess Kalypso. She has tried to secure Odysseus for herself by giving him eternal
youth and immortality. As she complains to Hermes, who has come with the gods command to
send Odysseus home, all her effort has gone unrewarded:
I fed him, loved him, sang that he should not die
nor grow old, ever, in all the days to come. (Odyssey V, 142 43)
No one is grateful to such a benefactress, least of all the hero himself, though we have to remember
that he has spent seven unaging years in her earthly paradise. Her inability to win his heart
intensifies her anger at the other gods. Whatever the gods have done for their mortal beloveds, they
have not loved as she has, devotedly, constantly.
Odysseus refuses Kalypso s immortality because he glories in the very restrictions imposed by
mortality. His love for his

Qualitative Design Paper
14
The vital methodological approach for this study is on qualitative intrinsic case study research. It
is imperative to note that even though all parts of the research design are connected, the
connections are not inflexible. The rubber band analogy, as put forward by Maxwell, tries to
expound vividly a qualitative design as something that is considerably flexible but there are
constraints caused by different parts one onto another. If these constrains are in anyway
compromised, they may result in the design being ineffective (Maxwell, 2005, p.6).
The qualitative research serves to comprehend and explain on what a participant means (Morrow,
2005). In a more elaborate manner, Creswell (1998) defines qualitative research to be an analytical

There are four major reasons for using interviewing as the primary data source for this study. First
is that in order to study people?s perception of the meaning in their lived world, it would be
appropriate to use qualitative (Kvale, 1996, p. 105). Secondly, interviewing plays a critical role in
finding out what is going on another individual?s mind. Patton goes on to explain that interviewing
someone aids in finding out words from their mouths that cannot be (Patton, 2002). Thirdly,
Merriam (2002) acknowledges that qualitative interviews culminate in thick descriptions of the
subject matter, which enables readers to make decisions about transferability of study results.
Conclusively, credibility of the findings is increased as a result of the triangulation of information
obtained from other (Merriam, 2002; Stake, 1995). Interviewing previous Upward Bound ELL
students will allow information to be identified and retrieved from key informants. These are
people who are arguably knowledgeable and whose insights can be of great importance in helping
an observer to comprehend on how and why events have occurred (Patton,

Progression Of Technology
According to Moore s Law, computer processing speed doubles exponentially every single year.
Being 32 times faster than the current speed after five years, and 1024 times faster than the
current speed after 10 years. Exponential growth is a phenomenon both observed in nature, as well
as society as a whole. It comes as little surprise that the progression of technology has been
exponential as well.
The Homosapien has populated the earth for over 200,000 years, but 95% of human technological
advances have happened in the last 20,00 years. In the last 100 years alone, mankind has
accomplished more technological feats than all prior years combined. Two thousand years ago, the

Racism In Cancer Alley
Antelope Canyon is a geographical gem in the middle of the Arizona desert. The descendants of
the Navajos care for this once very sacred land, yet 30 meters away is a fossil fuel power plant.
Out of all of the vast desert space, why did this company decide to put it on a Native American
site? Could this be because this particular region has less costs for the companies and the
minorities just happen to be there, or, would the decisions be actually based on race? While there
is ostensibly minimal proof of racismat play, with extensive research and case studies, there is
evidence of patterns that make these government decisions beyond what they actually portray
themselves to be. While racism as a whole is still an issue, there has been escalating... Show more

In 1987, there were fifteen cancer victims in a two block stretch in an area along the Mississippi
River between Baton Rouge and New Orleans, Louisiana ( Cancer Alley, Louisiana 2006). The
population of cancer alley is low income and African American, and it has been reported that 19 to
47 million pounds of ethylene dichloride (EDC), a suspected human carcinogen, was discharged
into a local stream ( Cancer Alley, Louisiana 2006). Due to the many cancer cases, those who
could relocate did and those who did not have privilege stayed back and endured the pollution
without help from the government. Most of these citizens have little education, and even though
there are about 136 facilities on site, unemployment was high ( Cancer Alley, Louisiana 2006).
Then, a few years later, another company planned to build a toxic complex on cancer alley and
continued to do so until 1996. Despite the complaints from the community against these entities,
companies continued to routinely place their facilities on the very same spots rather than look for
an alternative. Because they knew these people are highly disadvantaged minorities, they see no
huge complications against their landfills that they cannot simply brush off, making it a deliberate
decision to target these people of color. This indicates that African Americans are more likely to live
near industrial plants than whites, creating a resource apartheid in which blacks do not have the
same access to public health and clean natural services. Consquently, those in poverty are subject
not just to widening income inequality, but to environmental injustices as well (Lee,

The Book Of Revelation, By The Old Testament And The New...
The Book of Revelation is conceivably the most fascinating of all the books in the Bible. It is a
book that prophesies about the signs pointing to the world s conditions just before the return of
Jesus Chris, and how each stage prepares for this up and coming event. Because prophecy is a
large percentage of the Bible, people say that the Old Testamentis the New Testament concealed,
and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed . Through the prophets, Scripture reveals a
redeemer and the name of Messiah. They foretell about Christ s birth, death and resurrection in
the Old Testament and the New Testament retells His real life stories. Because of this, a large
part of the prophecy in both the Old and New Testament according to Christians has been fulfilled.
Yet, the Book of Revelation, the last book is a writing of indistinguishable forces and mystical
powers at work in the world as Satan sets up the stages for the return of the Savior, JesusChrist.
There are many fantastic subjects in Biblical prophecy. They set up the One Dimensional
Kinematics in the historical events like motions setting people up in a straight line leading all the
verses to a real time realization. The church is a major part of prophecy; and yet based on this
common theme in Christian theology, this can also reference a group of people who represent the
religious dynamics during the time. Yet, the number reason for the writings is the Lord Jesus
Christ. Although other topics in the book

Students must Learn, Practice and Apply their Knowledge to...
CHAPTER1. INTRODUCTION
Introduction
Time is one of the major factors in learning .In order for learners to achieve success in any field,
they need time to learn ,practice and apply what they have learned to fulfill goals (Farbman ,A N).
Educational institutes in the US nowadays are trying to improve the quality of the education offered
to students, therefor, there is a growing concern on how to use educational resources effectively
such as time in learning. Previous researches indicated that there is a direct relation between the
amount of time given to instruction and learning. This paper contributes to this growing literature
on the effect of the long time spending in the educational institutes on students performance and
achievement. In order to examine the impact of long instructional hours on student success and
performance an action research project has been conducted at the ELS center in Murfreesboro. Aim
of the Research
The main of this research is to investigate the students perspectives concerning the long
instructional hours in the ELS Center.
The Research Objectives The objectives of the project is to identify the advantages and the
disadvantages of the long working hours in the ELS center as well as offering suggestions for
alternative scheduling to improve the quality of education offered by the center and might also
increase students productivity and performance in the future.

Chickasaw Research Paper
Chickasaw National Recreation Area in Sulphur Oklahoma is a place where many families go
to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. What many may not know is that the waters in
this area were a treasured resource even before statehood. Native Americans were the first to
speak of the wonderous health benefits of the water and after the arrival of the white man the
preservation of this area would become an issue not only for the Native Americans who
discovered it but also for the settlers who viewed it as an opportunity to become rich. Acquisition
of this land would lead to the founding of Oklahoma s first and last National Park. Originally
named Platt National Park, the birth of this area has given way to years of enjoyment for its
patrons, and it has carried in its waters a rich history of Native Americans, the federal government,

much land so many times the Chickasaw played a game of avoidance over the issue, when the
two sides did finally meet to discuss acquisition of the area the Chickasaw told the townspeople

fence would be built around the area and only affluent people would be allowed to witness the
splendor of the springs. The Chickasaw however knew that their control of the area was slowly

A Surprise Trip
Observation Essay
It was about 10:30 Saturday morning when I woke up, still feeling bad from the night before.
My boyfriend decided at the last minute to surprise me and four of our children with a day at the
beach the day before. We left with only the clothes on our backs and bathing suits. It was only
after we arrived that we decided to stay the night. So we got us a room at the Sea Foam motel in
Nags Head, NC.
After I was finally able to get up from the bed, I woke the children up to get ready so we could
leave. We all took showers, packed up all our belongings and headed out. It was well past the

My boyfriend and I watched as the seagulls flew overhead and the children tossed them
breadcrumbs, ducking their heads every time one would swoop down over them. Just before we
reached the Island, I caught a glimpse of a pod of dolphins swimming along in the distance.
Minutes later we were able to spot the Island, so we all headed back to our vehicles as we
approached Ocaracoke. Once we reached the dock, we waited in the van until it was our turn to exit.
Once we had departed the ferry, we continued south on Highway 12. We passed several
restaurants and gift shops on our way. There were people walking and riding bikes along the
sides of the road as we drove past. It was not very long before we had reached the southern tip of
the Island, so we turned around on Highway 12 and started heading back north towards the ferry.
Along the way we decided to stop by one of the gift shops called The Pirates Chest. We all went
inside to look around. The shop was filled with little knick knacks, toys, shells, etc. We let each of
the children pick them out something, paid the cashier and we were on our way again.
Before we reached the ferry, we made one more stop by The Dipping Dots for some ice cream.
The shop had all sorts of goodies, including cakes, brownies, fudge and candy. The children walked
around the shop while we waited for the cashier to finish helping another customer. I could tell that

Personal Narrative-Separation In High School
The idea that the killer would next target Emily was one even I admitted to being highly
improbable. The actions I was taking now were not grounded firmly in logic. As someone who
was not normally dependent on emotive reasoning, this disquieted me a fair bit. We arrived

dashed off into the building. The receptionist normally situated at the front desk was absent at the
moment. Wether she left or was simply on break I didn t have time to contemplate over. The ride
to the fourth story was one of subtle unease. Such unease mounted into alarm when i saw the door

Subclinical Hypothyroidism In Mammals
The thyroid gland is prone to several distinct problems, some of which are extremely common.
These problems can be broken down into those concerning the production of hormone (too much, or

when person has: No symptoms or mild symptoms of hypothyroidism, a mildly high thyroid

The Fifth Wave Research Paper
The Fifth Wave tells a tale about the slow inhalation of the Earth. A group of supernatural,
intelligent beings, the Others , plans to invade Earth in five attacks. These attacks basically take
away all the basic necessities humans need to survive, such as electricity, food, and water. The Fifth
Wave first originated as a novel trilogy written by Rick Yancey. Along with other popular young
adult science fictionnovels such as The Hunger Games trilogy and the Divergent trilogy, the novel
is later made into a film. The film had one director, J Blakeson, three screenplay writers, Susannah
Grant, Akiva Goldsman and Jeff Pinkner, and four producers, Tobey Maguire, Graham King, Tim
Headington and Matthew Plouffe. The leading character within The Fifth Wave is a normal high
school student, Cassie Sullivan. Cassie is portrayed by actress Chloe Grace Mortez. Cassie is first
introduced at a high school party which demonstrated the normalcy in her life along with other
aspects. This includes her mother and father, her younger brother Sammy (portrayed by Zackary

Characteristics Of Saint Teresa Of Avila
Saint Teresa of Avila
1.a Three Characteristics
1. Saint Teresa of Avila was born on the 28th of march in 1515. She lived in Avila, Gotarrendura
which was a small town in Spain. It was very poor with a low population. She grew up in the 1500
s which was a poor time in the world and Teresa s parents couldn t afford a good lifestyle for her.
2. Around less then 20 years when she was born Christopher Columbus opened the Western
Hemisphere to European colonisation, then two years after she was born Martin Luther started a
Protestant Reformation. There was a lot of change going on in the world but Teresa stayed peaceful
and undisturbed.
3. Her father was very religious and very strict. He told Teresa never to lie and that made Teresa
always scared that she was going to do something wrong. This made her life difficult for her
growing up and after her mother died Teresa felt a void without her.

Three ways she made a difference is when she lost faith and love for God and prayer, then she
overcame that and is now a saint. When Teresa of a teenager she would sin a lot and she only
cared about friends and parties, then she changed her life around and started devoting her life to
a life of prayer. She also set up convents and many women with no place to live and nuns who
found it hard to pray would go to them, which inspired them to follow a life of prayer.
1.D How faith was important to her
Faith was important to Saint Teresa because she never gave up. When she was growing up she
went in and out of loving her religious life, but also sinning because she was caught up with
friends and popularity. She always found her way back to her religious life. When she became sick
she had inner experiences of joy and peace and that brought back her faith that God can make

Exploring Inferential Statistics and Their Discontents
What are degrees of freedom? The degrees of freedom (df) of an estimate is the number or
function of sample size of information on which the estimate is based and are free to vary relating
to the sample size (Jackson, 2012; Trochim Donnelly, 2008).
How are the calculated? The degrees of freedom for an estimate equals the number of values
minus the number of factors expected en route to the approximation in question. Therefore, the
degrees of freedom of an estimate of variance is equal to N 1, where N is the number of
observations (Jackson, 2012). Given a single set of six numbers (N) the df = 6 1 = 5.
What do inferential statistics allow you to infer? Inferential statistics establish the methods for the

What are your options if your dependent variable scores are not normally distributed?
Transformation of data using a logarithm, square root, reciprocal, or some other function assists in
normalizing the data and correcting for heteroscedasiticy, nonlinearity, and outliers when one or
more variables are not normally distributed (Abrams, 1999; Bland Altman, 1996). The extent of the
deviations from normality determines the specific transformation used. A moderate difference in
normality uses a square root transformation, more substantially non normal uses a log
transformation, and severely non normal would use an inverse transformation (Abrams, 1999). The
aim of data transformation allows for changing the non normal distributed population data into
more useful variable and is not uncommon as the basic statistical summaries such as the sample
mean, variance, z scores, histograms, etc., are all transformed data and require the data follow a
particular distribution (Bland Altman, 1996; Trochim Donnelly, 2008).
Part II
What does p = .05 mean?
P = .05, or p value, is a probability measurement that the confidence of the research questions or
null hypothesis is correct and has a less than 5 percent observed outcome on a normal distribution
curve thus having statistically significant. The p value is the prospect that null hypothesis is
actually correct; however, criticisms of various scholars believe in science that nearly everything is
impossible to

Pros And Cons Of Building Nuclear Power Plants
Most countries are starting to build more and more nuclear power plants. Nuclear power plants are
factories that produce electricity. It starts of by control rods, usually made uranium, silver and
boron, heat up water. Then the water turns into steam and turns the turbines. The turbines then
power up the generator than power. The power stored in generators are used to power up a city.
So, would building a nuclear powerplant be good for your community? Building a nuclear power
plant could be a good decision and could also be a bad decision. The Mayor is thinking of
building a nuclear power plant in the border between South Saint Paul and Inver Grove Heights.
Nuclear power plants is a very typical source of electricity in many countries, but usually has
some downsides with it too. Nuclear power plants are very big and south saint paul is not very
known for its size. South Saint Paul is small the area of it is 6.1 square miles. If they do decide
to build a nuclear power plant other buildings like houses, stores, and gas stations will be
destroyed to obtain enough space to build the power plant. It will cost a lot of money to construct
the power plant. On average it costs 500 million dollars to... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Comparative Analysis of Bertrand Russell and Ludwig...
Bertrand Russel and Ludwig Wittgenstein s personal and professional relationship is well known,
with Russel having famously sponsored Wittgenstein s submission of Tractatus Logic
Philosophicus for PhD credit at Cambridge University. Both philosophers were important early
contributors to the theory of logical atomism, and although they would both go on to reject many of
the ideas central to logical atomism, their work nevertheless represented an important break from
philosophical Idealism and set the stage for the developments of the twentieth century (Hylton 105,
116). However, despite the general agreement between Russel s The Philosophyof Logical Atomism
and Wittgenstein s Tractatus, the philosophers disagree on the question of skepticism. For Russel,
skepticism is an irrefutable position, whereas Wittgenstein characteristically describes skepticism as
being palpably senseless (Wittgenstein 187). Fully understanding Wittgenstein s meaning requires
an analysis of the role of skepticism in both Russel and Wittgenstein s work, but ultimately one can
say with relative confidence that Wittgenstein is largely successful in dissolving the problem of
skepticism, in that he is able to demonstrate how the notion of skepticism falls within a category of
thought exercise that Wittgenstein sees as outside the useful parameters of philosophy because it
does not actually contain any kind of sense or meaning.
Examining Wittgenstein s description of skepticism as a kind of

Gay Marriage Vs Same Sex Marriage
Since before the public ratified the Constitution and adopting the Bill of Rights and even prior to
Marbury v. Madison establishing the doctrine of judicial review, the clergy solemnization power
existed as an embedded feature of this nation s marriage traditions. The power both allows
Solemnization laws grant officials near unbridled discretion within the statutory limitations in
deciding who they will perform marriageceremony, and to ministers who perform religious
marriages to marry couples legally under the civil law. Also, the Fourteenth Amendment recognizes
same sex marriagein all 50 States; It described marriage as a purely secular institution, which serves
governmental interests. In the light of, Justice Kennedy highlighted that religious organizations can
advocate base on the belief that same sex marriage should not be condoned (Horwitz, P. 2014).
Justice Kennedy stated that many who deem same sex marriage to be wrong reach that conclusion
based on decent and honorable religious or philosophical premises, and neither they nor their
beliefs are disparaged here. But when that sincere, personal opposition becomes enacted law and
public policy, the necessary consequence is to put the imprimatur of the State itself on an exclusion
that soon demeans or stigmatizes those whose own liberty is then denied. Under the Constitution,
same sex couples seek in marriage the same legal treatment as opposite sex couples, and it would

Home Can Be A Country
The definition of home is a subjective topic that I will only be able to touch the rim of for the word
goes far beyond what is written. Home can be a lot of different things. Home can mean a whole lot
of things to a whole lot of people. It can be the place the you grew. It can be the place where you
sleep at night. Home can be here and there. Home can quite frankly be anywhere. Home can be a
structured place with a roof and a bed. Home can be a place you just stepped into or in can be a
place you have lived your entire life. Home can be a country, a state, a city, or a street address.
Home can be a person or group of people, and your home consists of wherever they are. Home
can simply be your family. It can be where you are most comfortable or at peace. It can be where
your heart longs to be or where it in the literal since is at. Home can be many different things. So,
what is the definitionof home?
The definition of home is first taught to us in early childhood as the idea of it being a house,
apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household. However,
in early childhood we would just simply say home is my house and the two words were used
interchangeably. When you type into the Google search bar, home, Google immediately asks below,
where s home? It has a slot to type in your address. To Google, home is the location of your house
in which you live. However, in my belief home is not as simple as that. Home is a concept of where

Indian and European Conflict in the New World Essay
Indian and European Conflict in the New World Since 1492 to late into the17th the century there
was perpetual struggle between the power hungry Europeans and the natives in the New World.
Pitted against each other, the Dutch, English, French, Spaniards, and Indians struggled to maintain

eastern coast and had no use and respect for the Indians or their land and way of life. At first

Essay On The Causes Of The Revolutionary War
SUMMARY: The Revolutionary War, also known as the War of American Independence went
on for eight long years, from 1775 to 1783. The war is identified by Battles that were fought,
starting with the first two battles of Concord and Lexington. By comparison, these battles would
be consider a street fight in our view of war today, but are marked in History as the beginning of
American freedom. CAUSE: The causes of the Revolutionary war were many different laws that
were put into place by the British going as far back as 1689. Britain was known as the mother
land in control of the America s 13 colonies. The 1689 English Bill of Rights was passed which
was a constitutional form of government in which the rights and liberties of the individual were
protected under English law. The Americans argued that they were not given the same rights. The
British passed one Act after another, all of which were in no way beneficial to the American
Colonies. The Americans began to rebel against these acts, The Boston Massacre, which occurred
on March 5th 1770 where British soldiers killed 5 civilians. George Washington, set on protesting

A Brief Look at Louisa May Alcott
We can see that Louisa May Alcott in every way was shaped, moulded and influenced by
transcendentalism. The big men around her, Emerson, Thoreau, Lane, but predominantly her own
father, taught her how to be a second generation transcendentalist. Mr Alcott cocooned her into his
slice of the planet and she soon lived her life as a vegan, writing a journal and living on a self
sufficient farm. However she felt a conflicting response to her father s and his friends
transcendental beliefs and Alcott found herself torn between many aspects of their beliefs. She
struggled most of all with the conflict between her position as a transcendentalist and a member of
American society as she discovered it was crucial to acknowledge both. This tension is what created
most of her attitudes which then transcended into her literature.
Alcott grew up being influenced by Emerson and Fuller s understanding of self reliance. This, as
well as her father s teaching, encouraged Alcott to grow into a woman who believed that she had
great strength as an individual. However she was aware that beyond every individual sphere was
an outer society that was hard to ignore. She had seen the effect of society when it opposed her
father s teaching methods and caused his school to close. Similarly, she felt it shutting down her
chances of becoming a successful woman writer who sought to create works of genius. She noticed
that with every individual idea, there was a chorus of society stopping it from

it was more subject to competition, and therefore received less attention. (Slack) Due to the high
fixed cost of operating and maintaining a railroad, and considering that companies had to build and

regulation prevented railroads from any flexibility in pricing needed to meet both intra as well as

including abandoning redundant and light density lines, a necessity for controlling cost. Added to
these problems was the industry s inability to cover inflation due to the regulatory time lag in rate

How Has Realism Theory Played a Key Role in Israeli and...

The Background of the Arab Israeli Conflict
The Arab Israeli Conflict, and the struggle for a religious homeland, is a complex and somewhat
mystified conflict. The tensions between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples can be traced back
to Biblical times, when Abraham allocated for one of his sons, Isaac, to lay claim to Judea or
modern day Israel. Muslims claimed that the elder son Ishmael had been allocated the region in
the Qur an. Although many historians believe otherwise, these claims are still the more popular
historical context amongst monotheistic practitioners. Despite the Arab Israeli conflict being
overshadowed by the countless episodes of war, the middle ages brought with it limited
prosperity. The period prior to the first crusades saw an age of enlightment for the Arabs and the
Jews, who would share their culture with one another and attempt to co exist within Jerusalem.
During this time, both cultures would make important literary and medical advancements.
However, the glory was short lived and soon the crusades opened the floodgates and brought
back with it war and tension. The end of the 19th century brought with it the rise of Arab
nationalism and Zionism, which called for the existence of a permanent Jewish State. Herzl s
1896 manifesto The Jewish State , popularized the idea of Isaac s promised land and influenced
the Jewish peoples of Eastern Europe and Russia to proclaim Israel their own. The Jewish people

What Is Sears Thesis For The Battle Of Antietam
The Confederate invasion of the North in September of 1862 was an attempt by Robert E. Lee to
swing the war in favor of the South. The main reason for the Confederate invasion was that the
British were on the verge of recognizing the Confederacy if they could show it could hold its own,
and Lee was anxious to provide a cornerstone for the Confederacy to build upon. The Battle of
Antietamwas the bloodiest day in American history and was a major blow to the Army of Northern
Virginiaand the morale of the south. This is the tableau against which our story unfolds.

Sears uses language that most all of us can understand, and clearly it is a very well researched
work. He supports his claims in the book with a copious amount of facts and yet still keeps the
course of the book moving forward. He draws on a variety of sources including diaries and letters
of the participants to produce, arguably, his definitive work. Sears thesis is actually two fold; one
that McClellan missed countless opportunities to defeat Lee and two that McClellan was an
incompetent commander who missed several instances to take initiative and win the battle
decisively. The young Napoleon, as McClellan was known, often waited an inordinate amount of
time before making a movement with his troops. For me, reading the details (with heavy emphasis
to the Union story) was captivating. No recon, no communication, egotistical leadership, timidity,
and procrastination all combined and helped the Union snatch defeat (or, at the very least, a draw)
from the jaws of victory. This battle, like others before and after it, could have really shortened the
Civil War.
On the other hand, Sears holds Lee in high esteem. Though taking unnecessary risks at times, he
manages to skillfully avoid being crushed at the hands of a numerically superior opponent.
According to Sears, Antietam proved a tactical victory for the Army of Northern Virginia, It had
beaten back a foe much superior in manpower and ordinance

Similarities Between Oedipus And Jocasta
Almost all people act differently upon hearing news that has the potential to change their life.
Although responses may differ depending on the person, a correct manner in which to acknowledge
information is usually not present. In Oedipus the King, Sophocles writes the tragedy in such a
way as to make Oedipushave to cope with learning that he is unintentionally the culprit of his father
s murder and married to his mother, Jocasta. Despite the fact that the circumstances were equal for
both Oedipus and Jocasta, they react in vastly different ways. While some people think that Jocasta

Those that do not agree that he is mature suggest that Oedipus is too eager when striving to seek the
truth, considering that he threatens people s safety in order to receive it. In reality, he is
determined to do all in his power to have the potential to learn and grow from the truth. One
example is when Oedipus is refusing to back down to Jocasta, who hopes to convince him to
stop trying to find out the truth. After Jocasta tries to convince Oedipus yet again, he exclaims, I
will not be persuaded to let be the chance of finding out the whole thing clearly, (lines 1216
1217). This shows that finding out the truth is so significant in his life that nothing will stop
him from doing all he is capable of to achieve the truth. In order to have the opportunity to have
optimal growth from the situation Oedipus is facing, he believes that he needs to be aware of all
aspects of the situation so he can take appropriate action. In addition, when Oedipus is in search
of answers, the messenger asks Oedipus why it would have to be himself to tell him bad news,
even if that is not what he wanted to do. In response to that, Oedipus states that he would remain
grateful for the help he would be. The truth means an unbelievable amount to Oedipus that he
would remain grateful to those who reward him with the truth, regardless to if he learns that he
is a killer. His need for truth in order to act appropriately shows true virtue and nobility in a
person. Aside from his thankfulness, Oedipus begs the messenger to tell him all he knows about
the real story behind his life. He is very eager to escape the pain of being ignorant about the truth
of his actions that he is willing to do anything to obtain these answers. In order to do his best to

the delicately nimble hands of their holders. As the music was being beautifully executed, the
gorgeous baton twirler spun and launched her baton high into the air. The band first entertained the

The Pink Panthers accompanied the band in their halftime performance. Adding to the already
spectacular performance of the band, the Pink panthers brought a little extra pizzaz to the show.

Daniel Captivity
In 605 B.C during Jehoiakim s reign, the Babylonian s king Nebuchadnezzar took Daniel and his
friends as captives when he besieged Jerusalem. Daniel was taken captive because he fit in the
standards, which the king was searching for: young men, good looking and smart. During the time
of captivity, Daniel, the author of the book of the Bible with the same name, writes about the
dreams, visions and situations he passed in the course of the captivity. Indeed Daniels actions
reflected the way he faced the situations, showed how he feared and was obedient to God, even
when he was placed in a room full of lions or into a furnace of blazing fire. The story of Daniel
begins in the third year Jehoiakim s reign when he was taken captive from Judah... Show more

Daniel received also a Babylonian s name so he was called Belteshazzar (or Belshazzar) that
possibly means Bel, protect his life. Daniel s character was tested when he decided not to eat the
king s food and proposed to the commander of the officials to eat something different to see they
would be healthier and better looking than the ones eating from the king s chosen food. After a
week eating vegetables, Daniel was healthier and better looking than the other youth. By
choosing not to eat the food from the king s table Daniel was being obedient to God s word
because the food chosen by the king was dedicated to the Babylonian s gods, probably were
from unclean animals and the blood was not taken out. Daniel received the name Belteshazzar
because of the Babylonian s gods either Marduk, or Nebo conceivably to incorporate the culture
of the Babylonians and their pagan s gods. God provided Daniel with intelligence, wisdom and a
special gift: the understanding of all kinds of visions and dreams and as a result of that, Daniel
was the one God chose to interpret the dreams of, the king of Babylon, Nebuchadnezzar. The
Bible says the king was distressed and wanted to kill every wise men of Babylon, therefore Daniel
was one of the wise men. Daniel knew God was merciful and could reveal to him the meaning of

A Brief Note On The American Civil War
Vanessa Astorga
Mrs. V
History 101
19 April 2017
Civil War
The American Civil War, that took place from 1861 to 1865, marked one of the most important
changes in American history, it was fought between the Union and the Confederate States of
America. A total of even southern states that left the Union to form their own country in order to
protect the institution of slavery. The Civil War transformed the country s economy, politics,
women, African Americans, along with major breakthroughs in technology. The war increased
northern prosperity, whereas the South s entire society quickly collapsed. The war s impact on
northern society was positive, which led to an advancement in all aspects of northern life.

In addition, 90% of the nation s skilled workers were in the North ( Arrington). The north s lust
economy dominated over the country that help rebuild the United States as a country.
The Union developed their own country in order to abolish the institution of slavery. The union was
not going to allow the confederates to practice slavery. Many northern states favored the abolition
of slavery. The southerners favored the institution of slavery and favored the power of state
governments over the federal government. This caused a split in political parties and led to the
formation of new parties in the United States. The Constitutional Union Party rose and was formed
by former Whigs. The Constitutional Union Party s stance held in preserving the union by refusing
to take sides on slavery. When it became obvious that support for the party was weak, many in the
Constitutional Union Party attempted to join with Northern Democrats who supported
appeasement. The United States defeated the Confederate States and abolished slavery nationwide.(
America s Reconstruction People and Politics After the Civil War ).
During the Civil War, American women want to find a way to contribute to the war. Women in the
North and South joined as volunteers and signed up to work as nurses. It was the first time in

The, The Fundamental Way Of Communication
Introduction
In whole of the animal kingdom, human being s voice is unique and is the fundamental way of
communication. The flexibility of sound production and the range of frequency allow people use
their voice to express their emotions (Chatterjee, 2011). Ageing is the process for each human
being to go through. As we all known, linguistic and acoustic characteristics of children s voice and
speech pattern are quite different from adults. Males and females voices are striking different in
pitch. These differences are mainly caused by differences in the anatomical structures of the larynx,
which change rapidly over time due to individual s growth(Tielen, 1989; Kaur, 2015). Especially
during childhood and adolescence, personal physiology changes quickly and their skill of co
articulation also increased (Kaur, 2015). The larynx and vocal folds do not entirely mature until late
adolescence (Mwangi et al., 2009). In particular, noticeable change related to Hormone occurs
among boys. For pre pubertal boys and girls, their vocal apparatus is almost the same, which
means their fundamental frequencies are entirely similar. During puberty, the changes in the larynx
s size and character causes voice cracking and characteristic pitch breaks. This grows more rapidly
and extremely among boys, rather than girls, due to the inner secretion of sex hormones (Tielen,
1989). After this period, individual s voice might be stable in several decades (Chatterjee, 2011).

Reuven Friendship
Unbreakable Friendship in The Chosen Friendship is one of the most valuable components in
life. Friendship has the ability to change lives in a positive way. Friendship changes people s
views on life to a more positive outlook. True friendship is when someone knows you better than
yourself and takes a position in your best interests in a crisis. Friendship goes beyond sharing
time together, and it is long lasting. (Friends.com). As we spend a lot of time with our friends,
friendship opens our minds to different ways of viewing the world. Unfortunately, sometimes
strong barriers may be placed by those who see two people s friendship as a threat; since people

Reuven and Danny are enrolled in the same college and are forced to break their friendship
because of the differences between their fathers. The slaughter of over six million jews during
the holocaust leads to the demand to form a Jewish state. David Malter wants a more secular
Jewish republic. Six million of our people have been slaughtered we can not wait for God.
(David Malter 277). But Reb Saunders wants a more religious republic focusing on the Torah. If
Reb Saunders even once heard of Danny being anywhere in my presence, he would remove him
immediately from the college and send him to an out of town yeshiva for his rabbinic
ordination. (Reuven Malter 331). When the United Nations officially declares the creation of
Israel as a Jewish State, Reb Saunders is relieved and allows Danny to revive his friendship with
Reuven. Reuven and Danny resume their friendship and the influence they have had on each
other makes Reuven choose to become a rabbi while Danny chooses to become a psychologist.
Friendship opens our minds to different views and perspectives and change our perceptions. It
has the power to change people s views on life in a positive way. True friends will do anything to
keep their friendship alive, no matter the barriers. Potok proves through the friendship of Danny
and Reuven that friendship can be achieved no matter the barriers. He proves that friendship is a
key value to life through his motif

In this essay, I will be answering two questions; How do prokaryotic organisms differ from
eukaryotic organisms in their ability to clean up crude oil in marine environments? What were
some of the challenges these scientists faced when figuring out how microbes could clean up the

The main difference in the ability of both organisms is that prokaryotic organisms such as bacteria
are much easier to grow and work with compared to eukaryotic organisms. However, eukaryotic
organisms like fungi contain a wide variety of enzymes to help in breaking down the molecules of
crude oil. Unlike bacteria such as the Alcanivorax Borkumensis which usually only feed

  • 3. Music of Robert Schumann as a New Stage in the Development... Music of Robert Schumann as a New Stage in the Development of Romanticism Music of Robert Schumann embodies many of the most characteristic features of German Romanticism deep psychological insight, aspiration for the ideal, intimacy, irony and bitterness. Advanced aesthetic tendencies of German culture in the period of 1820 40s found vivid expression in his music. In contradictions, which are inherent in Schumann s music, reflected the complex contradictions of the social life from his time. His music is filled with a restless, rebellious spirit that puts him in the same line with Byron, Heine, Goethe, Wagner and others. However, the theme of rebellion in the music of Schumann has a psychological, but very lyrical representation. Compared to Heinrich Heine, Victor Hugo, and Ludwig Van Beethoven who viewed the world through the prism of social injustice, Schumann did not aim towards social revolt. The greatest part of his diverse heritage was his personal confession in music. Schumann s piano music, for instance, Kreisleriana, Op.16 and the Symphonic Etudes, op.13, are truly a musical encyclopedia of the human soul with many nuances and tones, with shades of colors of joy, sorrow, anguish, doubt and struggle, dreams and anxieties, rush, despair, faith and courage. E.T.A. Hoffmann in his writing Dichtungen und Schriften defined genius as a person who is able to touch us, to move us mightily, the artist himself must be deeply affected in his own heart. • 5. The Serpent-Vampire in Keats Lamia Essay The Serpent Vampire in Keats s Lamia The origin of the lamia myth lies in one of the love affairs of Zeus. The Olympian falls in love with Lamia, queen of Libya, which was, for the Greeks, the whole continent of Africa. When Hera finds out about their love, she destroys each of Lamia s children at birth. In her misery, Lamia withdraws to the rocks and caves of the sea coast, where she preys on other women s children, eating them and sucking their blood. To recompense his mistress, Zeus gives her the power of shape shifting. Perhaps as a reflection of this versatility, the monstrous race of lamiae of Africa are composite beings, with the heads and breasts of women, but the bodies of serpents. Immortal temptresses hold out that same promise of heightened sexual experience, but they add to that the lure of an escape from the ordinary world into a dream land of perpetual youth and eternal life. They can raise man above his mortal station. In this category we can place the Homeric goddess Kalypso. She has tried to secure Odysseus for herself by giving him eternal youth and immortality. As she complains to Hermes, who has come with the gods command to send Odysseus home, all her effort has gone unrewarded: I fed him, loved him, sang that he should not die nor grow old, ever, in all the days to come. (Odyssey V, 142 43) No one is grateful to such a benefactress, least of all the hero himself, though we have to remember that he has spent seven unaging years in her earthly paradise. Her inability to win his heart intensifies her anger at the other gods. Whatever the gods have done for their mortal beloveds, they have not loved as she has, devotedly, constantly. Odysseus refuses Kalypso s immortality because he glories in the very restrictions imposed by mortality. His love for his ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. Qualitative Design Paper 14 The vital methodological approach for this study is on qualitative intrinsic case study research. It is imperative to note that even though all parts of the research design are connected, the connections are not inflexible. The rubber band analogy, as put forward by Maxwell, tries to expound vividly a qualitative design as something that is considerably flexible but there are constraints caused by different parts one onto another. If these constrains are in anyway compromised, they may result in the design being ineffective (Maxwell, 2005, p.6). The qualitative research serves to comprehend and explain on what a participant means (Morrow, 2005). In a more elaborate manner, Creswell (1998) defines qualitative research to be an analytical ... First is that in order to study people?s perception of the meaning in their lived world, it would be appropriate to use qualitative (Kvale, 1996, p. 105). Secondly, interviewing plays a critical role in finding out what is going on another individual?s mind. Patton goes on to explain that interviewing someone aids in finding out words from their mouths that cannot be (Patton, 2002). Thirdly, Merriam (2002) acknowledges that qualitative interviews culminate in thick descriptions of the subject matter, which enables readers to make decisions about transferability of study results. Conclusively, credibility of the findings is increased as a result of the triangulation of information obtained from other (Merriam, 2002; Stake, 1995). The descendants of the Navajos care for this once very sacred land, yet 30 meters away is a fossil fuel power plant. Out of all of the vast desert space, why did this company decide to put it on a Native American site? Could this be because this particular region has less costs for the companies and the minorities just happen to be there, or, would the decisions be actually based on race? The population of cancer alley is low income and African American, and it has been reported that 19 to 47 million pounds of ethylene dichloride (EDC), a suspected human carcinogen, was discharged into a local stream ( Cancer Alley, Louisiana 2006). Due to the many cancer cases, those who could relocate did and those who did not have privilege stayed back and endured the pollution without help from the government. Then, a few years later, another company planned to build a toxic complex on cancer alley and continued to do so until 1996. Despite the complaints from the community against these entities, companies continued to routinely place their facilities on the very same spots rather than look for an alternative. Because they knew these people are highly disadvantaged minorities, they see no huge complications against their landfills that they cannot simply brush off, making it a deliberate decision to target these people of color. This indicates that African Americans are more likely to live near industrial plants than whites, creating a resource apartheid in which blacks do not have the same access to public health and clean natural services. • 9. The Book Of Revelation, By The Old Testament And The New... The Book of Revelation is conceivably the most fascinating of all the books in the Bible. It is a book that prophesies about the signs pointing to the world s conditions just before the return of Jesus Chris, and how each stage prepares for this up and coming event. Because prophecy is a large percentage of the Bible, people say that the Old Testamentis the New Testament concealed, and the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed . Through the prophets, Scripture reveals a redeemer and the name of Messiah. They foretell about Christ s birth, death and resurrection in the Old Testament and the New Testament retells His real life stories. Because of this, a large part of the prophecy in both the Old and New Testament according to Christians has been fulfilled. Yet, the Book of Revelation, the last book is a writing of indistinguishable forces and mystical powers at work in the world as Satan sets up the stages for the return of the Savior, JesusChrist. There are many fantastic subjects in Biblical prophecy. They set up the One Dimensional Kinematics in the historical events like motions setting people up in a straight line leading all the verses to a real time realization. INTRODUCTION Introduction Time is one of the major factors in learning .In order for learners to achieve success in any field, they need time to learn ,practice and apply what they have learned to fulfill goals (Farbman ,A N). Educational institutes in the US nowadays are trying to improve the quality of the education offered to students, therefor, there is a growing concern on how to use educational resources effectively such as time in learning. Previous researches indicated that there is a direct relation between the amount of time given to instruction and learning. This paper contributes to this growing literature on the effect of the long time spending in the educational institutes on students performance and achievement. In order to examine the impact of long instructional hours on student success and performance an action research project has been conducted at the ELS center in Murfreesboro. Aim of the Research The main of this research is to investigate the students perspectives concerning the long instructional hours in the ELS Center. The degrees of freedom (df) of an estimate is the number or function of sample size of information on which the estimate is based and are free to vary relating to the sample size (Jackson, 2012; Trochim Donnelly, 2008). How are the calculated? The degrees of freedom for an estimate equals the number of values minus the number of factors expected en route to the approximation in question. Therefore, the degrees of freedom of an estimate of variance is equal to N 1, where N is the number of observations (Jackson, 2012). Given a single set of six numbers (N) the df = 6 1 = 5. What are your options if your dependent variable scores are not normally distributed? Transformation of data using a logarithm, square root, reciprocal, or some other function assists in normalizing the data and correcting for heteroscedasiticy, nonlinearity, and outliers when one or more variables are not normally distributed (Abrams, 1999; Bland Altman, 1996). The extent of the deviations from normality determines the specific transformation used. A moderate difference in normality uses a square root transformation, more substantially non normal uses a log transformation, and severely non normal would use an inverse transformation (Abrams, 1999). The aim of data transformation allows for changing the non normal distributed population data into more useful variable and is not uncommon as the basic statistical summaries such as the sample mean, variance, z scores, histograms, etc., are all transformed data and require the data follow a particular distribution (Bland Altman, 1996; Trochim Donnelly, 2008). P = .05, or p value, is a probability measurement that the confidence of the research questions or null hypothesis is correct and has a less than 5 percent observed outcome on a normal distribution curve thus having statistically significant. • 25. Comparative Analysis of Bertrand Russell and Ludwig... Bertrand Russel and Ludwig Wittgenstein s personal and professional relationship is well known, with Russel having famously sponsored Wittgenstein s submission of Tractatus Logic Philosophicus for PhD credit at Cambridge University. Both philosophers were important early contributors to the theory of logical atomism, and although they would both go on to reject many of the ideas central to logical atomism, their work nevertheless represented an important break from philosophical Idealism and set the stage for the developments of the twentieth century (Hylton 105, 116). However, despite the general agreement between Russel s The Philosophyof Logical Atomism and Wittgenstein s Tractatus, the philosophers disagree on the question of skepticism. For Russel, skepticism is an irrefutable position, whereas Wittgenstein characteristically describes skepticism as being palpably senseless (Wittgenstein 187). Fully understanding Wittgenstein s meaning requires an analysis of the role of skepticism in both Russel and Wittgenstein s work, but ultimately one can say with relative confidence that Wittgenstein is largely successful in dissolving the problem of skepticism, in that he is able to demonstrate how the notion of skepticism falls within a category of thought exercise that Wittgenstein sees as outside the useful parameters of philosophy because it does not actually contain any kind of sense or meaning. Justice Kennedy stated that many who deem same sex marriage to be wrong reach that conclusion based on decent and honorable religious or philosophical premises, and neither they nor their beliefs are disparaged here. But when that sincere, personal opposition becomes enacted law and public policy, the necessary consequence is to put the imprimatur of the State itself on an exclusion that soon demeans or stigmatizes those whose own liberty is then denied. The definition of home is first taught to us in early childhood as the idea of it being a house, apartment, or other shelter that is the usual residence of a person, family, or household. However, in early childhood we would just simply say home is my house and the two words were used interchangeably. When you type into the Google search bar, home, Google immediately asks below, where s home? It has a slot to type in your address. To Google, home is the location of your house in which you live. The big men around her, Emerson, Thoreau, Lane, but predominantly her own father, taught her how to be a second generation transcendentalist. Mr Alcott cocooned her into his slice of the planet and she soon lived her life as a vegan, writing a journal and living on a self sufficient farm. However she felt a conflicting response to her father s and his friends transcendental beliefs and Alcott found herself torn between many aspects of their beliefs. She struggled most of all with the conflict between her position as a transcendentalist and a member of American society as she discovered it was crucial to acknowledge both. This tension is what created most of her attitudes which then transcended into her literature. Alcott grew up being influenced by Emerson and Fuller s understanding of self reliance. This, as well as her father s teaching, encouraged Alcott to grow into a woman who believed that she had great strength as an individual. However she was aware that beyond every individual sphere was an outer society that was hard to ignore. She had seen the effect of society when it opposed her father s teaching methods and caused his school to close. Similarly, she felt it shutting down her chances of becoming a successful woman writer who sought to create works of genius. Although general freight produced higher revenues per ton it was more subject to competition, and therefore received less attention. (Slack) Due to the high fixed cost of operating and maintaining a railroad, and considering that companies had to build and maintain their own tracks there were certain routes that were not profitable. Before1980, economic regulation prevented railroads from any flexibility in pricing needed to meet both intra as well as intermodal competition. Regulation also prohibited carriers from restructuring their systems, including abandoning redundant and light density lines, a necessity for controlling cost. The Background of the Arab Israeli Conflict The Arab Israeli Conflict, and the struggle for a religious homeland, is a complex and somewhat mystified conflict. The tensions between the Palestinian and Israeli peoples can be traced back to Biblical times, when Abraham allocated for one of his sons, Isaac, to lay claim to Judea or modern day Israel. Muslims claimed that the elder son Ishmael had been allocated the region in the Qur an. Although many historians believe otherwise, these claims are still the more popular historical context amongst monotheistic practitioners. During this time, both cultures would make important literary and medical advancements. The main reason for the Confederate invasion was that the British were on the verge of recognizing the Confederacy if they could show it could hold its own, and Lee was anxious to provide a cornerstone for the Confederacy to build upon. The Battle of Antietamwas the bloodiest day in American history and was a major blow to the Army of Northern Virginiaand the morale of the south. This is the tableau against which our story unfolds. He supports his claims in the book with a copious amount of facts and yet still keeps the course of the book moving forward. Sears thesis is actually two fold; one that McClellan missed countless opportunities to defeat Lee and two that McClellan was an incompetent commander who missed several instances to take initiative and win the battle decisively. The young Napoleon, as McClellan was known, often waited an inordinate amount of time before making a movement with his troops. For me, reading the details (with heavy emphasis to the Union story) was captivating. No recon, no communication, egotistical leadership, timidity, and procrastination all combined and helped the Union snatch defeat (or, at the very least, a draw) from the jaws of victory. This battle, like others before and after it, could have really shortened the Civil War. On the other hand, Sears holds Lee in high esteem. As we all known, linguistic and acoustic characteristics of children s voice and speech pattern are quite different from adults. Males and females voices are striking different in pitch.
