news of a woman or her family struggling because they re being refused maternity
leave it breaks our hearts. These women, expecting mothers, have to carry or have
carried a child for roughly 9 months. Most if not all have done so by being on their
feet all day and have only had the required minimum for breaks. Is it then wrong to
ask for maternity leave? Should pregnant women not be allowed some work
accommodations? Well, contrary to popular belief, maternity leave is more than
just a time for a woman s gestation period or relaxation. In a country with a
population of more than 308 million women I think maternity should be a right.
So, then who is to blame for the lack of maternity leave? The answer: male bosses.
It s thanks to these bosses that once women are mothers, they have to go back to
work as soon as possible. All these new mothers are told by their male bosses that
they are expected back as soon as they can. These men allow little to no maternity
leave for women in the work force. And I think we can all agree that this is a serious

Purpose: The purpose of my proposal is to propose a plan for the city of Houston to
consider becoming a No Kill City and adopt No Kill animal control policy in
regards to city run and funded animal shelters. Specifically, if the city council would

The word Constellation means set with stars which comes from a latin term. Most
constellation names are latin in origin, which is the language of Ancient Rome.
They named these constellations something similar to their gods, or something
that represents their god. Some of the names that the constellations were given
were Aquarius, Aquila ( the Eagle), Canis Major ( the great dog), Leo ( the lion),
and Perseus ( the Hero). There are many more constellations, but these are some of
them. They also named them from animals that inspired legends, one legend was
about Aquarius the eagle. The legend tells how Aquarius served Zeus by sending

The common perception that a typical person will have if you mention Napoleon
is the idea of a short, angry, and bossy little man who is aggressive to compensate

My Final Grades From The Past Two Semesters
What you see before you are my final grades from the past two semesters. While I
know you re concerned with the letters and numbers, rest assure that these are
about as insightful as an Instagram photo. My first semester of freshman year, for
the most part, went by without much of a hiccup. I was able to coast by with the
same mindset towards learning I carried in high school, and I finished with a 3.30
GPA. Afterward, my second semester was what lead me to buckle down. I realized
that I would need to dedicate my time outside of the classroom to studying and
comprehending the material. My classes were going to become harder, each
assignment more crucial, and my time more valuable. Thus, about midway
through the semester, I was building better habits with studying and learning in
general. Keep in mind that at this point; I was still adapting to the routine of a
college curriculum. Even though I adopted a serious attitude towards each of my
classes, there was still something working against my favor. Looking back now, I
realize that I had been enrolled in more credit hours than, perhaps, what I could
handle. The increase was only one extra credit hour (16 to 17) which came from a
chemistry lab that I needed to take as a science. But, considering that I went from
taking all 100 level classes to 200 level classes, including a 300 level class, the extra
credit hour was enough to stretch my workload. Plus, we had a lab report due almost
