education is a critical component to developing a globally
competitive workforce. Business leaders across industries agree:
investing to ensure a pipeline of workers skilled in STEM
competencies is a workforce issue, and economic development
issue, and a business imperative”

▶July 19 - Making Learning Fun: Integrating a makerspace mentality into your
classroom (Grades 6-8)
▶July 23 & 25 - Molecular Biology Lab Brush-Up: Reintroduction to
current essential lab techniques, including DNA Electrophoresis, PAGE molecular
cloning, and expression analyses. (Grades 7-12)
▶July 26 - Video Production in Your Pocket: Learn how to make short
videos in your classroom using smartphones in three easy steps.(Grades 6-12)
▶August 2 - Engineering is Elementary™: Create a classroom of problem-
solvers using FREE hands-on kits and inquiry-based curriculum.(Grades K-5)
▶August 9 - You Be the Chemist: Learn methods for teaching Chemistry
concepts through hands-on learning and real-world connections using the Essential
Elements curriculum™. Participants will receive a FREE curriculum and activity set.

could be a claw machine, ski-ball,
basketball hoops and whatever they
can imagine!
Three winning teams will receive one
free field trip to Wackenhammer's
Arcade STEAMuseum for their class
