• Intergovernmental Task Force (federal, state, local, and tribal

• Habitat and Fisheries Working Groups
• 35+ public hearings/meetings, 5 public comment periods, 300+ public
comments received
• Active community consultation from Vineyard Power Cooperative
Environmental/conservation groups actively involved (e.g. NWF, TNC,
MA Audubon, CLF, ELM, Defenders of Wildlife)
Outcome
• Call Area reduced due to shipping and NARW concerns
• High sea duck concentration and high fisheries value areas excluded
from WEA
• Distance from WEA to shore extended to reduce potential visual
impacts
• WEA reduced in size from 7,628 sq. km to 3,002 sq. km (see figures on
right)
