this campaign. This is then confirmed where it says โ€˜Founded
By Gucciโ€™. The displaying of the company name makes the
audience feel that it is a quality campaign they can be a part
of as Gucci is a famous design house.
The use of alliteration
in the title of the
campaign โ€˜Chime For
Changeโ€™ makes it
memorable.
The woman appears confident and strong. This is
relevant as it is clear that the campaign is for female
empowerment and Frida Giannini appears
empowered in this photograph. It also suggests that
this is an example of the success of the campaign.
Links to social networking
and the use of cross media
here (by including a website
link) open the campaign to a
wider audience and
significantly boost
circulation.
The use of a slogan makes
the campaign recognisable
and is an efficient way of
portraying a clear intention.
The repetition in this
particular slogan of the word
โ€˜everyโ€™ reinforces the fact
that this campaign is
targeting a mass audience (all
females).
The pronoun โ€˜usโ€™ suggests that the campaigners and the audience
are a team and must work together to achieve a particular goal- in
this case, female empowerment. It makes the audience feel included
and needed, thus encouraging them to support the campaign.
The predominantly black and white
colour scheme suggests that the issue
concerned is similar to that of one in the
past, and that it is a widespread issue,
however, the splash of colour suggests
that this campaign is making a
breakthrough.

campaign- makes it
clear that this poster
belongs to a series of
things amounting to
try to achieve a
particular goal.
This poster uses
shock tactics in an
attempt to raise
awareness and
show the sheer
severity of the
cause. It is also a
play on words, as
cigarettes are
addictive, the
woman is โ€˜hookedโ€™.
This is
representative of
the fact smoking
has negative mental
and physical effects.
Contact details help to
link all the products in a
specific campaign. They
also make it easy for the
audience to make
contact and get involved.
A short slogan- โ€˜Get
unhookedโ€™ has a strong
effect. It links to the
picture which brings the
whole poster together. In
addition, it again
reinforces that smoking
is addictive and causes
serious harm to your
body.
The use of the female who appears to be in her early
adult life suggests that the target audience is teens/
young adults that smoke. This could be to help stop
the younger generation getting addicted while there is
still time to help them.
This poster also using a
shocking fact to help the
target audience realise
the vast scale of how
many cigarettes they are
smoking and thus how
much money they are
spending and how much
harm they are doing
themselves.

domestic violence.
Slogan makes the
campaign
recognisable. It is
short, catchy and
memorable; this will
encourage victims to
be an inspiration and
speak up.
Woman is the victim-
fear evident in her
eyes. Suggests this
issue predominantly
affects females and is
a terrifying thing. The
man is gesturing at
her to be quiet and
has his hand over her
mouth in an
aggressive manner-
symbolic of the
violent person
putting so much fear
into the victim that
they feel voiceless.
Clear intention is shown through the
phrase โ€˜Speak Up Against Domestic
Violenceโ€™- the campaign is targeting
victims of domestic violent and
encouraging them to share their story
and inspire others to do the same.
Predominantly black colour scheme-
associated with darkness, evil and
possibly even death. This highlights
the severity of the issue concerned.

  • 2. Gucci: Chime For Change Direct mode of address makes the audience feel personally targeted. The endorsement of a celebrity causes the audience to feel that if this celebrity is a part of the campaign, they should be too. It attracts fans of the celebrity to join in. The fact it is a women also suggests that the target audience is predominantly female. Frida Giannini is the Creative Director of Gucci, which instantly informs the audience that Gucci are associated with this campaign. This is then confirmed where it says โ€˜Founded By Gucciโ€™. The displaying of the company name makes the audience feel that it is a quality campaign they can be a part of as Gucci is a famous design house. The use of alliteration in the title of the campaign โ€˜Chime For Changeโ€™ makes it memorable. The woman appears confident and strong. This is relevant as it is clear that the campaign is for female empowerment and Frida Giannini appears empowered in this photograph. It also suggests that this is an example of the success of the campaign. Links to social networking and the use of cross media here (by including a website link) open the campaign to a wider audience and significantly boost circulation. The use of a slogan makes the campaign recognisable and is an efficient way of portraying a clear intention. The repetition in this particular slogan of the word โ€˜everyโ€™ reinforces the fact that this campaign is targeting a mass audience (all females). The pronoun โ€˜usโ€™ suggests that the campaigners and the audience are a team and must work together to achieve a particular goal- in this case, female empowerment. It makes the audience feel included and needed, thus encouraging them to support the campaign. The predominantly black and white colour scheme suggests that the issue concerned is similar to that of one in the past, and that it is a widespread issue, however, the splash of colour suggests that this campaign is making a breakthrough.
  • 3. NHS: Smokefree Logo shows which company that are running the campaign- a well known national company and therefore well trusted campaign. A logo specific to the campaign- makes it clear that this poster belongs to a series of things amounting to try to achieve a particular goal. This poster uses shock tactics in an attempt to raise awareness and show the sheer severity of the cause. It is also a play on words, as cigarettes are addictive, the woman is โ€˜hookedโ€™. This is representative of the fact smoking has negative mental and physical effects. Contact details help to link all the products in a specific campaign. They also make it easy for the audience to make contact and get involved. A short slogan- โ€˜Get unhookedโ€™ has a strong effect. It links to the picture which brings the whole poster together. In addition, it again reinforces that smoking is addictive and causes serious harm to your body. The use of the female who appears to be in her early adult life suggests that the target audience is teens/ young adults that smoke. This could be to help stop the younger generation getting addicted while there is still time to help them. This poster also using a shocking fact to help the target audience realise the vast scale of how many cigarettes they are smoking and thus how much money they are spending and how much harm they are doing themselves.

Company logo and company name immediately show whoโ€™s running the campaign. This suggests it is trustworthy as it is a company set up specifically for those suffering from domestic abuse. Clear intention shown by the phrase โ€˜Supporting Victims of Emotional and Domestic Abuseโ€™- makes target audience clear- victims of domestic violence. Slogan makes the campaign recognisable. It is short, catchy and memorable; this will encourage victims to be an inspiration and speak up. Woman is the victim- fear evident in her eyes. Suggests this issue predominantly affects females and is a terrifying thing. The man is gesturing at her to be quiet and has his hand over her mouth in an aggressive manner- symbolic of the violent person putting so much fear into the victim that they feel voiceless. Clear intention is shown through the phrase โ€˜Speak Up Against Domestic Violenceโ€™- the campaign is targeting victims of domestic violent and encouraging them to share their story and inspire others to do the same. Predominantly black colour scheme- associated with darkness, evil and possibly even death. This highlights the severity of the issue concerned.
