Dr. Rohin Garg discusses the use and handling of cadavers in medical education. Cadavers, or dead human bodies, are used by medical students to study anatomy and identify disease sites. Working with cadavers requires respecting the donor's sacrifice by keeping the cadaver moist, wearing protective gloves, and properly disposing of tissues. Students pledge to treat cadavers with dignity and use the knowledge gained to help others. Cadavers are the first teacher for medical students and have allowed anatomy education to continue.
