A Dangerous Atmospheric Devation Is The Best Test...
A dangerous atmospheric devation is the best test confronting our planet. It is, actually, the expansion
in the temperature of the world s neon surface air. It is a standout amongst the most present and
broadly talked about variables. It has broad effect on biodiversity and climatic states of the planet. A
few ebb and flow inclines plainly show that a dangerous atmospheric devation is straightforwardly
affecting on rising ocean levels, the dissolving of ice tops and noteworthy overall atmosphere changes.
To put it plainly, an unnatural weather change speaks to a key danger to every single living thing on
earth.

Shockingly, the awkwardness which we have made between our life and earth is as of now giving the
hints calamities as surge, violent winds, avalanches, tidal wave, dry spell, and so forth. On the off
chance that the lopsidedness keeps on rising, one day this will suggest a conversation starter mark on
the presence of this planet. Carbon dioxide (C02) which is an essential constituent of environment is
bringing on a warming impact on the world s surface.
It expands the vanishing of water into the climate. Since water vapor itself is a nursery gas, this causes
still all the more warming. The warming causes more water vapor to be vanished. The C02 level is
relied upon to ascend in future because of continuous blazing of fossil powers and landuse change.
The rate of rise will depend generally on dubious financial, sociological, mechanical and regular
advancements. Different gasses, for example, methane, CFCs, nitrous oxide, tropospheric ozone are
likewise in charge of an Earth wide temperature boost. Increments in all these gasses are because of
unstable populace development, expanded mechanical extension, innovative progression,
deforestation and developing urbanization, and so on.
Trees assume a noteworthy part in the worldwide carbon cycle. They are the biggest area based
instrument for expelling carbon dioxide from the air.

Research Paper On Gout
2.4 ASSOCIATED HEALTH CONDITIONS OF GOUT
Gout is associated with a host of health conditions and diseases. Majority of patients have at least one
associated health condition and disease. The most common one are obesity, high blood pressure,
kidney disease and heart disease.
2.4.1 OBESITY AND GOUT
Obesity is a condition that exists when a person carries extra body fat that is severely out of proportion
to his or her height. Gout is highly common in obese people. Research shows that a large percentage
of gout patients are overweight. Weight gain plays a role in the development of gout. An obese person
is four times more likely to develop gout compared to someone with a normal body weight.

Kidney stones form when your urine contains more crystal forming substances such as calcium,
oxalate and uric acid than the fluid in your urine can dilute. At the same time, your urine may lack
substances that prevent crystals from sticking together, creating an ideal environment for kidney
stones to form.
Uric acid crystals deposited in the kidneys can become large kidney stones. These are also known as
uric acid stones. These stones are formed in people who don t drink enough fluids or who lose too
much fluid, those who eat a high protein diet, and those who have gout.
Uric acid stones are very painful and can cause permanent kidney damage. The stones can form
obstructions which prevent your kidneys from removing wastes and causing infection. They can also
scar the kidneys with rough or sharp edges. These problems can lead to chronic kidney disease and
even kidney failure where kidney dialysis or kidneys transplant to treat complications that could lead
to more illnesses and even death.
It is important to monitor your kidney function. Drink at least 64 ounces of water a day (8 cups) to
help reduce the risk for stone

Comparison and Contrast between American and Indian...
Fasting and Feasting is a novel written by Anita Desai that narrates the story of the protagonist, Uma,
and her family s life. The novel is divided in two parts. Part one deals with Uma s life in India until
the tragic death of her cousin Anamika, and part two tells the story of Uma s brother, Arun, as he
spends his summer with the Pattons, a typical American suburban family. Throughout the novel, Desai
explores the theme of family life and uses the novel s two settings, America and India, to compare and
contrast the values and customs that constitute each respective culture s family life. At first glance,
American and Indian families are foils of one another because of the relationships between the family
members that composed them. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This quote is an example of how in Indian society, even a distant relative can exert life changing
influence on a person. On the contrary, in the Patton s family life there seems to be no influence
coming from extended family members. The limited time frame in which Arun lives with the Pattons
does not provide extensive insight of the family s life. Because of this particular way that Desai chose
to write about the Pattons, the reader is led to believe that affiliations with extended family are
inexistent in the American family s household.
The consolidated nature of Indian families gives extended family members the power to have great
influence over their younger relatives. If this aspect of Indian family life holds true, then it is natural
for parents to have a colossal amount of influence over their children. In the Indian culture, parents are
a symbol of unquestionable authority and the unmovable force of their household. We can see that
Indian children are educated

The IQ Debate Essay
Intelligence can be defined in many different ways. This concept has been the focus of numerous
studies and investigations by psychologists and other scientific experts. Intelligence can be the mental
ability to reason, plan ahead, understand a wide range of complex issues and learn from past
experiences (Gottfredson, 1997). Intelligence is the resultant of the process of acquiring, storing in
memory, retrieving, combining, comparing, and using in new contexts information and conceptual
skills (Humphreys, 1979)
Intelligence is commonly measured through the use of a number of scales and quantitative measures,
like the Intelligence Quotient (IQ), developed by Alfred Binet in early 20th century to identify which
French children needed ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Far right commentators generally support this argument, which has been supported by the findings of
a number of researches, including those led by Professor Robert Plomin
(http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/850358.stm). They have also utilised these arguments to explain a
wide range of social phenomena, including crime. Other experts have strongly disagreed with this
view, arguing that intelligence levels are directly related to situational factors. Environmental factors
like the quality of the education system can have a very significant influence in the development of
intelligence. Situational factors have been used by psychologists to explain a wide range of
phenomena. A great number of sociologists, psychologists and criminologist have studied the
circumstances and background that makes crime possible, in order to identify the main reasons and
causes of crime by looking at the learning process that generates crime. The use of IQ to explain
deviancy and crime has greatly influenced the debates of psychologists in this respect.
In this respect, studies like those carried out by Sutherland have looked at the role played by
psychological issues and disorders. The Differential Association Theory was a theory on crime and
deviancy developed by Edwin Sutherland during the thirties. Unlike other experts like Eleanor and
Sheldon Glueck, who stated that deviancy is generated by numerous factors, Sutherland

Essay on Biodiversity
Biodiversity
INTRODUCTION Franck and Brownstone define biological diversity as the variety and variability of
living organisms and the biological communities in which they live (36). Decades of progress in both
the scientific and political arenas have advanced environmental legislation to protect biodiversity at
not only the ecosystem level, but for specific species and genetic material as well. Research has shown
the importance of every organism and their role in the global ecosystem, and legislation has gradually
matured to protect not only species which may become endangered, but the habitats they need to
survive as well. Growing consciousness surrounding environmental issues has enabled these

Simultaneously, thousands of other species across the globe face the same threat: extinction.
Biodiversity is an essential part of our world, our global ecosystem. As Planet Earth?s resources
diminish and its creatures vanish, those who recognize the need to preserve what is disappearing look
to international politics to accomplish what individuals cannot. The most important instrument for
implementation of international policy has been the Convention On International Trade in Endangered
Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which went into effect in 1975.
The plight of the rhinoceros is not unlike the all too familiar danger that the elephant faces. Illegal
trade is greatly responsible for the endangerment of the species. Valued for their ivory horns, over
90% of the five rhino species have disappeared, while the rest continue to dwindle. The worth of one
rhinoceros horn is $44,000, and the demand remains high in the countries of China, Taiwan, South
Korea and in the Middle East. In East Asia, the horns are regarded as powerful medicinal tools, known
to cure everything from nosebleeds to food poisoning. In a powdered from, the horn is thought to be a
powerful aphrodisiac. Similarly, the animals? genitalia are also considered extremely valuable.
Existing rhino populations continue to decline. In East Africa, the Black Rhinoceros

Discursive Violence in Silko’s Yashtoah
With the help of, or the lack thereof, written history has drastically changed oral tradition. In Leslie
Marmon Silko s Storyteller, she tells her story and the story of her people. Oral tradition is essential to
the Native American culture. These stories are handed down from generation to the next. The stories
are sacred and those who know the stories are expected to protect the sanctity and validity of these
stories. Silko invites the readers into the Laguna culture with the stories, including Yashtoah , that give
a glimpse of the values of the Laguna tribe. Without doubt, as these stories are passed down, some
parts may be left out which is known as discursive violence. The transition from oral tradition to
written history, entire cultures and their traditions can be lost or forgotten. With the use of syntax,
natural images, punctuation, and the presence of surrealism, the Yashtoah story is an example of the
discursive violence present in this text.
The text offers a very simple and informal word choice. The syntax contributes to Silko s attempt to
counter discursive violence. The use of everyday words assists in the validity of the story and how it is
passed down from generation to generation. Also, the narrator uses native Indian vocabulary that also
could be seen as countering discursive violence. Using vocabulary familiar to the tribe makes the
communication between the storyteller and the audience easier. It also aids in the understanding of the
story.

Now, there is one special type of seeing seeing into the future. Seeing into the future is not going to a

awarded a certification credential through the Certifying Board of the American Association of
Medical Assistants(AAMA). CMA has been educated in a wide scope of general, clinical, and
administrative responsibilities. They were also tested. CMAs play major roles in the medical field, by
aiding other professionals to help patients. Being a certified medical assistant takes time, the process
maybe complicated but in the end of the day it may be worth it. To become a CMA, there are certain
education requirements. The CMA is the only certification that requires graduation from a

One pro is, being able to help people. Some are in it just to help people and cure them of their
sickness. Just to be able to help someone is an enjoyment to them. CMAs can work anywhere,
between nursing home facilities, offices, and hospitals of course. Some build relationships with their
patients and some may say that isn t a pro but it isn t good to just be rude and dull to a patient. It s
better to be happy and optimistic around a patient. You can be certified to work in any state. Instead of
being tied down to one state only, the certification allows the person to work anywhere across the
country. You work regular hours. Unlike some workers in the medical profession: nurses, doctors, etc.
CMAs get off at the exact time that s on their schedule, no overtimes or anything and they know their
schedule. There are plenty of jobs. The field is to grow at least by 23% by 2022. The drawbacks of
becoming a CMA is it can be very tiring. Especially working in a hospital or a nursing home, the
patients could be a little too much or extremely sick and they may need extra care and that may be
tiring. Some CMAs should perform both administrative and clinical duties which can become very
frustrating and overwhelming. Another drawback is the pay rate and the amount of schooling. CMAs
typically receive lower wages than most medical professions and do about the same amount of
schooling as doctors and nurses and doing much more, they don t get much at all. Compared to RNs
they make $31,000 less and compared to doctors they make $171,000 less. But most people that go

Dna Deoxyrimidine
DNA is known as deoxyribonucleic acid, which is a hereditary material that all eukaryotic organisms
have. DNA is mostly located in the nucleus of cells but can also be found in mitochondria. The
information of DNA is stored as a code made up of four chemicals. Two of these chemicals are
purines, the other two pyrimidines. The purines are Adenine and Guanine. The pyrimidines are
Thymine and Cytosine and the purines pair with the pyrimidines. Specifically Adenine with Thymine,
and Guanine with Cytosine. Every strand of deoxyribonucleic acid uses the same bases, just arranged
in different orders. DNA strands are in a shape of a double helix, if you were to get a closer look, you
would see nucleotides. A nucleotide are the basic unit of structure for DNA. They consist of a sugar,

Cloning is typically the action of creating a genetic copy of an organism. Clones can come about
naturally, or in a lab. Naturally, bacteria and some plants are able to produce on their own. They do
this by pretty much splitting in half and growing from there. They reproduce how our cells do so to
speak. Natural cloning can also occur in animals. In animals, clones can occur when a zygote, or
embryo splits in half at least once. This creates two identical eggs with the same DNA. According to
the National Human Genome Research Institute s section on cloning, there are three different types of
artificial cloning. Those types of cloning include gene cloning, therapeutic cloning, and reproductive
cloning. Gene cloning is when they take a piece of foreign DNA, or a gene, and insert it into a vector,

The Soul By Mary Oliver Summary
From the earliest philosophical debates to the latest scientific research and experiments, the issue of
inner being or soul is unanswerable yet. Such spiritual mysterious like the eternal connection between
creatures in nature is a favorite theme among poets. In this poem, Mary Oliver demonstrates the
ideology that soul and consciousness are not uniquely for humans. The main themes continue to be the
intersection between the human and the natural world, as well as the limits of language in articulating
such a meeting. Although she has been criticized for writing poetry that assumes a dangerously close
relationship of women with nature, she is only strengthened through an immersion with nature.
Writing while walking around the woods, Mary is the kind of person who scribbles but shared it.
Manifesting her experience of touch and feel does a great job to sum of our reality. The listener is
affected by her language and certainly feel more attached to the environment and the mother earth.
The poet deliberately illustrates the reality of the soul using visual examples to indicate a better
understanding of spirit which is subjective. For instance, selecting iron as a symbol of solid element
requires a great vision which makes an invisible reality more sensible. By giving tangible examples of
other animals, she tries to open the reader s mind that they should experience the similar thoughts
about their existence. In addition to the wild nature, inanimate objects look alive with soul

Pros And Cons Of Natural Law Theory
Natural Law
Thomas Aquinas produced the natural law theory with the believe that all human choices should be an
attempt to avoid evil. When considering the option actions, one must evaluate each option to ensure
they do not violate any of the six universal human values. The six universal human values include
human life, health, procreation, welfare of children, knowledge, and human relationships. If an
optional action directly violates any one of these values then it is not morally permissible.
Option 1: Do Nothing
Violates Human Life
Violates Health
If Selena Gomez did nothing about the ethical issue following the show Thirteen Reasons Why s
release that would directly violate the values of human life and health. With suicidal teens having
continued access to Thirteen Reasons Why and it s triggering episodes, the risk for suicide would
continue to rise. Along with the risk of suicide, viewing this Netflix series can be poisonous to one s
mental health. Not only would the mental health of suicidal teens be at risk, but the mental health of
their parents, friends and family would be at risk as well.
Option 2: Remove Thirteen Reasons Why from Netflix
Violates Human Relationships
If Selena Gomez were to have Thirteen Reasons Why removed from Netflix she would violate the
relationships between her and the entire staff of the show. With the show being removed from Netflix
it would lose ratings which would affect the relationships of the fans and the cast of Thirteen Reasons
Why.
Option 4: Ban Thirteen Reasons Why Completely
Violates Human Relationships
If Selena Gomez banned Thirteen Reasons Why completely it would inevitably violate many human
relationships. The relationships between the cast if the show and their fans would diminish after the
show s elimination. Also, the relationships between the cast of the show and the producers and
anybody who would be financially affected by Selena Gomez s choice to demolish the show.
According to Aquinas natural law theory, the only options that are morally permissible are option
three which is to make a public service announcement, and option six which is to revise the show and
remove the graphic scenes which exhibit suicide and rape. Neither of these options

Nighttime Fires
Nighttime Fires is a narrative poem written by Regina Barreca. The poet uses powerful imagery which
vividly illustrates the lasting impression made upon a girl whose father seeks satisfaction through
witnessing the destruction caused by nighttime fires. The poem creates a picture in the reader s mind
of the father s character as his grown child still remembers from when she was five years old.
Although it is obvious that the father is a victim of an economy that caused him to be without a job,
his actions are bizarre and inexcusable. The father takes his family to see fires during the night when

Advantages Of Discount Brokers
The advent of discount brokers in the Indian market have revolutionized the way trading is done in
India.
Discount brokerages have heavily brought down the cost of trading. This has proven to be a boon to
the traders especially the intraday and the derivatives trades.
Discount brokerages like RKSV and Zerodha have already started hurting the broking industry. Full
service brokers had made a request to market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India
(SEBI) to impose a minimum slab on the brokerage being charged by discount brokers. This request
was declined, clearing the way for more aggressive competition.

Getting more profits
Put simply, we are out there to make money in the stock markets. When one goes through the contract
note of the regular brokers, there are huge costs spent on brokerages, taxes and duties. At a brokerage
of Rs.30 on per lot of Option one has to pay a brokerage of around Rs.150 for 5 lots. There are also
duties and taxes which increase it to Rs.200.When the same thing is done through a discount
brokerage the brokerage cost is Rs.20 and adding the taxes and duties it come to Rs.40. There is
saving of Rs.150. It directly adds more money to the profits.
2. No need to sacrifice the quality of the execution.
There is no difference between trading through a regular broker and a discount broker. There is still
the old facility of call and trade. There is the new facility of mobile trading and online trading.
3. More high frequency trades
The reduction of brokerage brings down the breakdown even. The intraday brokerage for discount
brokerage is 0.01% or Rs.20, whichever is lower. So, in small trades, when a trader buys at 100.01 and
sells at 100.05, he still makes profit. In large trades, the advantage is even more as the brokerage is
even less due to the Rs.20 cap. This reduction of breakeven point enables a trader to do more

Pickles and preservatives serves as the fundamental food metaphor that refers to the labyrinth life of
some south Indians as well as the cultural undercurrents that wrap them. As Frewer states food is

Introduction I had the pleasure of working for Heritage Cooperative Inc during the summer of 2015.
Heritage Cooperative is a farmers cooperative that offers its customers a variety of products and
services. The four main branches are agronomy, feed, energy, and grain. Some of the services
customers can receive are crop advantage, cattlemen s edge, ice melt, lawn fertilizer, show supplies,
tire services, and there in house seed Shur Grow. Heritage Cooperative is focused on giving the best
products and services to its customers to meet there needs. As a crop advantage field tech I worked
under the agronomy portion of the company. The branch I was stationed at in Upper Sandusky was
focused on helping growers get the most out of their crops and to provide customers with any needs
they may have. The agronomy portion of the company offers 3 main services which are crop nutrients,

Learning Worthy Curriculum And Its Impact On Middle Level...
Through the completion of this project, I was given the opportunity to increase my knowledge in a
number of ways. It allowed me to expand my ability to use reflective skills as I made connections
between my personal philosophy of the education of young adolescents with the coursework, field
experiences, and literature. I found this project quite difficult because the This We Believe
characteristics were all great for a successful school for young adolescents. To make my selection of
my top five characteristics, I had to use the order of elimination by evaluating and synthesizing each

The curriculum is considered rich when the materials, core, and class are challenging and exploratory.
The inclusion of substantive issues and skills, prior knowledge challenges, and the ability to enable
students to take responsibility for their learning are all ways to make curriculum rich or challenging.
(Powell, Sara D.; pg. 145) Along with challenging, exploratory curriculum allows students to make
discoveries and choices. As discussed in class, giving students a choice will open the door to
successful and self motivational learning. The word, REAL, would be compared to the statement s
word integrative . The textbook and class discussions helped me to understand the importance of
connecting curriculum to students lives and the real world. I learned that a student will be more eager
to participate, learn, and care about curriculum that has purpose outside of the learning environment.
By simply including real world scenarios in word problems, the students will feel the connections and
grasp the content easier and faster. The phrases making sense of content and experiences is used in the
textbook to show the importance of integrative curriculum. Lastly, the curriculum must show
relevance. In class discussion, my classmates and I all agreed that we all despise coursework that has
no purpose. Busy work is the term used in class to describe irrelevant curriculum. Relevant curriculum

Violence In Colonial America
The process of colonization in the Americas was a complex and complicated series of events, each
driven by the varied interests of an array of European empires. For some, the Americas were a world
of untold riches, while for others, this discovery allowed for missionary efforts to convert Native
Americans to their faith. Regardless of the reason, violence against the many Native Americans who
inhabited this new land was a common colonization tool to achieve these means. Direct violence is the
most well known approach, one that Spain wielded so effectively that the Black Legend was created to
attest to their cruelty. Yet, the violence used was not all direct in nature. Cultural violence, which
England employed itself, was used just as often. Overall, though the Black Legend has led to Spain
being viewed as the most violent colonizer in the Americas, England s use of indirect violence through
engagement in the fur trade and missionary efforts was just as destructive to Native Americans. As
mentioned above, the concept of violence used in colonization, especially that of the Americas, is
usually thought of in only one form. The word conjures images of conquistadores storming villages,
officials forcing Natives into slavery, and the brutal killings of those who did not adhere to European
rule and religious ideals. This is a direct and vivid form of violence. However, violence in colonization
extended into another variety. Indirect violence, which was much more common after

Breakup Of Yugoslavia
The animosity among Catholic Croats, Orthodox Serbs, Moslem Bosnians, Orthodox Macedonians
and Muslim Albanians, led to Yugoslavia s wars of the 1990s. Nonetheless, there were some hopeful
elements and countervailing examples of humanistic values and peaceful coexistence prevailing
among people of these ethnicities: the efforts of Yugoslav politicians who were attempting to address
disputes through negotiation rather than violence, the steps taken by the United Nations to stem the
violence, the actions of particular individuals to stem the violence, the friendships between people of
different ethnicities that existed before the wars and persisted as they were going on, the friendships

As we saw in the documentary The Fourth Part of the Brain, some of the kids who starred in
Dizdarevic s film An Awkward Age were Bosnian Muslims, others Bosnian Croats, others Bosnian
Serbs. In spite of different ethnicities, they still liked and cared about one another during the war. After
the premiere of the movie, Esvedin, Sabina, and Sedin were interviewed in an apartment in Sarajevo.
Sedin sent special regards to his good friends Srdjan, who was in Zvornik. They both grow up in the
same part of Sarajevo, where they used to hang out together, and Sedin hoped to hang out with Srdjan
again. Srdjan replied that he was moved that Sedin still wanted to be with him again, but he was afraid
that he could not go back. He believed that everybody would hate him if he went back to Sarajevo
because his uncle and possibly other relatives had been involved in killing Muslims. The reason why
Srdjan was so moved might be that Sedin understood that it was not Srdjan but the soldiers that should
be to blame. Sedin could make distinctions between the soldiers who were terrorizing the Muslim
population and other Serbs who were blameless like his friends. Srdjan and Sedin, in spite of their
different religions and ethnicities, used to be good friends before they were both picked for the movie.

Crocs Case Study
The history of Crocs can be roughly summed up as three friends that pursued an idea and it worked.
Crocs established in 2002 after three friends took a fishing trip to the Caribbean. Lyndon Duke
Hanson, Scott Seamans and George Boedecker, were so impressed with the slip resistant foam shoes,
they decided to sell the Canadian produced clog shoes manufactured by Finproject NA out of a leased
warehouse in Florida. The friends choose the name Croc to capture the amphibious nature of the
product. (Schroeder, R., Goldstein, S., Rungtusanatham, M., 2013, p. 492). The company specializes

industries that would benefit to the product. The consultants would go to garden shows, boat shows,
and pool supply shows and not just talk about the benefits of the simple shoe that could be overlooked,
but bring the excitement of needing to have Crocs. Attending the trade shows gave Croc s a personal
relationship with the stores, and allowed the company to market the shoes in each store. Placing a
Croc s representative in each store allowed for service guarantee, the ability to ensure its satisfactory
delivery to the customer (Schroeder, R. et al, 2013, p. 97). Crocs took the same grass roots approach in
other countries, but the momentum generated in the U.S. helped foreign adoption (Schroeder, R. et al.,

How Does Homelessness Affect Our Society
Every night across America, roughly 32,000 people between the ages of 18 and 24 are homeless
(Youth Homelessness). In the same night, hundreds of thousands of girls say goodnight to their fellow
sorority sisters before crawling into their beds. As a Panhellenic community, University of Nebraska
gives girls the opportunities to create friendships, form connections, and build strong women. We are
called to be active members of society, and use our fortunate lives to change the world we live in.
After visiting Community First! Village of Austin, Texas, it has become aware to me the severity of
homelessness in America and how simple it can be to change it. Community First! not only builds tiny
homes through donations for homeless people around Austin, but gives them a community to become
a part of. Donating money to build a tiny house at Community First! Village would not only
strengthen UNL s Panhellenic Council s generous reputation, but also support the movement to end
homelessness through providing a home and community to a young outcasted individual.
Community First! Village is sponsored by Mobile Loaves Fishes, a catholic charity that has has grown
to working every night, all year long, providing food, clothing, and hygiene products to the homeless
in surrounding cities of Austin. They have served over 5 million meals with the help of 19,000
volunteers. Their recent innovation (Community First!) is a 27 acre development that has been
building a tiny home community for homeless people to buy for inexpensive prices. The village
features miniature neighborhoods of homes, a church, garden, medical facility, market, movie theater,
and other amenities. The project continues to grow as donations and volunteers come in for
construction of housing and purchases of needed materials and goods. As of now, the village has
housed almost 200 former homeless men and women. Mobile Loaves Fishes continues to house more
people as construction is completed and word has spread to other major cities of the work this
organization has founded and grown. Many of the people living in the village have come from a
variety of lives before moving into the community. Some old, some new, and often have been alone
most of their life.

Inclusion Of The Elementary And Secondary Education Act
Include, don t exclude! Being included in sports, lunch time talks with your friends, and other
scenarios has been apart of our culture. What if Sally did not allow you to be in the same classroom
with her because of how you acted based on a mental or a behavior disability that may affect her and
the class s learning ability? I believe that inclusion in the classroom is beneficial for all students
because it adds depth and culture to your class and teach a different aspect of life than what comes
from curriculum.
Inclusion in education is when children with and without disabilities participate and learn together in
the same class. One law that provides rights to students is the Individuals with Disabilities Education
Improvement Act of 2004, which is a law guaranteeing special education services to all children with
disabilities in the United States. Then there is the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001, which is a United
States Act of Congress that is a reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act,
which included Title I, the government s flagship aid program for disadvantaged students, increased
the concentration of educators and parents to help each other find ways to include and to also support
students with an intellectual disability in the least restrictive environment ( No Child Left Behind ,

Theme Of The Devil s Arithmetic
Guns. Pain. Blood. Tears. Regret. These words represent a mass genocide. These words represent the
Holocaust. The Holocaust was a mass genocide of the European Jewish people caused by Adolf Hitler
and the Nazis. The destruction of the Jews began in Germany and eventually hatred towards Jews was
spread all over the world. Over 6 million Jews died in the Holocaust and constantly people were
injured. The central idea of the Holocaust was that it had a negative impact on most people who were
involved. The theme of the Holocaust is all people should be treated fairly and humanely. During the
Holocaust, Jews were treated unfairly and the genocide had a negative impact on the people involved.
The Devil s Arithmetic portrays the theme and central idea of the Holocaust.
In The Devil s Arithmetic, a technique used is foreshadowing. Hannah, the main character says, I m
tired of remembering. I don t want to (Yolen 3). This illuminates how the book prepares to let Hannah
know how important it is to remember the Holocaust and how important it was to remember all who
had died. It is important to think about how unfair the Jewish people were treated and how their whole
lives were negatively affected. Another technique used was putting a fictional character, Grandpa Will,
who had gone slightly mad from being a part of the camps and the Holocaust in the story to show how
bad the genocide affects its victims. The book reads, Then suddenly he d grabbed at her, screaming in

What Are The 4 Laws Of Thermodynamics
The four fundamental laws of thermodynamics are used to define how physical quantities behave
under various circumstances, these include energy, entropy, and temperature. The First Law of
Thermodynamics states that energy in the universe is always conserved, therefore it cannot be created
or destroyed, and it can only be transformed from one form to another. The second law of
thermodynamics states that entropy of isolated systems always increases, this means that in all
processes of energy exchange, if no energy is introduced to or leaves a system, the sum of potential
energy will be less than initial condition. The third law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of a
system is maintained as the temperature decreases to absolute zero. The fourth law of thermodynamics
defines temperature equilibrium between systems.
The first law of thermodynamics defines that energy can be transformed but not destroyed. It s used to
define the internal energy contained in a system. It s formulated by pointing out the change in internal
energy in system minus work and heat that add and subtract energy in the system. Moreover, the
second law helps to clarify different ways in which motors change heat into mechanical work, for
example in steam turbines and car engines. The third law, also referred to as Nernst law, provides a
basis for calculating absolute entropy value of substances and an analysis of phase and chemical
equilibrium.

Nearly one in three teenagers have at least tried marijuana by the time they graduate high school. It is

Over thirty pro legalization organizations have been displayed on the Internet alone. The legalization

The effects of marijuana and other drugs destroys families enough now, but if it were to become legal
then that number would raise and so would the number of broken homes. We are at a time when our
family structure has already been destroy and where we should be working to rebuild that important
aspect of life.
Legalizing marijuana would not be the way to do that.
Marijuana is famous for making a person lazy and lackadaisical. We are a point in our country when
we have the most amount of unemployment. When already thousands of people are happy living off
welfare, we want to make people even lazier? This is not to say that all people that are unemployed are
lazy or smoke pot for that matter, but if people were more lazy then we already are, it could only mean
bad things for the development of our country. In an age of technological advancements, why slow
down progress with pot?
Although it could be argued that marijuana should be legal for everyone to have, the argument loses to
the hard core facts that can be seen be common sense. Marijuana is a drug that remains illegal. Users
can continue to buy it on the streets, where it belongs. Prohibition is something that should remain for

What To Do About A Chip In Your Windshield
If you re driving down the road and a big truck flings road debris against your windshield and
damages it, you re faced with the decision of whether to drive with the damage or call for roadside
repairs. Each situation is different, but generally, it isn t safe to drive with a damaged windshield, and
it may even be against the law in your jurisdiction. Fortunately, you can call a mobile windshield
repair truck to come to your location, whether it is by the road, at your work, or at home. Here is some
information about how the repair process works.
Evaluation Of The Damage
The first decision the glass contractor has to make is whether to repair or replace the windshield. Even
if the glass has to be replaced, it can usually be done at a mobile location. One thing that determines if
the glass can be repaired is the location of the chip. If it is directly in front of your line of vision as
you drive, the contractor may opt to replace the glass, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

pocket or if the contractor can bill your insurance company. If your windshield has to be replaced,

you.
Whether your insurance company pays for the repairs or not, you don t want to put off fixing the glass.
A sudden temperature change or hitting a bump in the road could cause the chip to send out cracks that
lead to further damage. When the glass is cracked, it isn t stable. That means you aren t protected as
well in case of an accident. Plus, if the damage spreads into your line of sight, it could pose a danger
when you re driving down the road. Make it a priority to repair your damaged windshield as soon as

Political Changes In The 1920s
Politics:
Politically, the 1920s could be described as pro business and anti union. These two main principles of
our political time period directly contrast that of the error of reforms pre war America was in. Coming
into this decade, the war has come to an end and now the U.S believes it is time for a hedonistic
interlude. A time of less reforms and more business. Post war America is a start of a new chapter for
our young country which obviously comes with its own set of problems.
After the war, our former president Woodrow Wilson brings forth the idea of the League of Nations
which begins to split the countries population depending on their political views of the super pact.
This would set the stage for the 1920s U.S and its endeavor to ... Show more content on

Popular culture in the 1920s is characterized by innovation in film, visual art and architecture, radio,
music, dance, fashion, literature, and intellectual movements. The movie industry skyrocketed in this
time, growth of Hollywood and downtown movie theaters. Silent films are replaced by talkies in the
late 20s. Jazz music and the dance clubs plays a huge part in the 1920 s. Some of the chief literary
figures are, Fitzgerald and Hemingway, wrote novels and short stories criticizing materialism and
selfish individualism of the age. This era of the Harlem Renaissance, the period of African American
literary and artistic growth. The 1920s is a period of significant change for women. The 19th
amendment is passed in 1920, giving women the right to vote, and women began to pursue both
family life and careers of their own. One of the most enduring images of the 1920s is that of the
flapper, a young woman with short hair, wearing a knee length dress, rolled up stockings, and
unbuttoned rain boots that flapped when she walks. Commercial radio began to be a big part in the
1920s when Pittsburgh station KDKA broadcasted the results of the presidential election. As the
number of homes with radios rapidly increased from 60,000 to 10 million in 1929, the airwaves flies
across Americans and news and entertainment started to be huge in the 1920 s. The business of radio
is simple and supports the growing consumer culture. Local radio stations affiliated themselves with
national networks, such as NBC and CBS, which provides programming by companies who bought air

Ordovician-Silurian Extinction
Approximately 66 million years ago, the first, and most recent extinction event of the Big Five took
place the Cretaceous Paleogene (K Pg) Extinction, also known as the Cretaceous Tertiary (K T)
Extinction. While this event is known primarily for its involvement in the extinction of dinosaurs, it
also had quite the effect on a large majority of other plant and animal species, to the point where no
tetrapod (four legged vertebrae) weighing above 25 kilograms survived. The original trigger is
believed to have been a massive comet or an asteroid impact, estimated at about ten kilometers in size,
but other theories suggest that volcanic eruptions, climate change, or sea level change played a role
was well. Either way, there were catastrophic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
However, recent speculation has lead many scientists to believe that we are currently in a mass
extinction period, one that could not only be bigger than any previous extinction event, but that
actually points a finger towards humans as being the main cause. This extinction event is known as
The Holocene Extinction, the Sixth Extinction or the Anthropocene Extinction, and whether we like it
or not, there is definitely a considerable amount of evidence to prove that this mass extinction is
happening, and that the cause is largely due to human activity. Specific research indicates that
deforestation, hunting, pollution, the introduction of non native species into various regions,
destruction of vast tracts of land, river systems, and habitats, and the widespread transmission of
infectious diseases spread through livestock and crops are having the most drastic effects on most
species. Current studies even show that the present rate of extinction may be up to 140,000 species per
year, making it the greatest loss of biodiversity since the Cretaceous Paleogene Extinction. Edward
Osborne Wilson, an American biologist, researcher, theorist, naturalist and author, calculated that if
the current rate of human disruption of the biosphere continues, one half of

The Origins Of The World
Viking, the word conjures up images of well built men with long hair and braided beards wearing firs
and horned helmets, holding axes and shields, ready to battle so they can return home to consume
bountiful feasts. The word brings to mind fanciful stories like Beowulf where these very same men
fight beasts after a night of stuffing their gullets and consuming large amounts of mead. There are so
many stories about these warriors that many of them have become legendary individuals, but there is
so little information about the people who provided the food to keep the so powered up, the people
who provided the nourishment for the rest of their community while the warriors plundered and
defended their honor. There is little known about the farmers. There is even less known about these
unsung heroes around the time that Christianity took over the Norse culture. A group of researchers
that took part in a study in Skagafjörður Iceland was determined to change that. Iceland has some of
the richest Viking history, next to The Netherlands, so the fact that the people living there would want
a more in depth history makes sense. Murphy and Zoëga took a special interest in a small site in the
project, to see how the common non warrior Viking lived their lives. They wanted to know more about
the people history forgot to mention, to breathe the life back into the people who time almost forgot,
the people whose story did not get told, the people Viking warriors would have not even existed

Essay on Symbolic Meaning of Blood in Macbeth by William...
Shakespeare, in his work Macbeth, uses many forms of imagery to grasp the attention of the audience.
His particular use of blood imagery is highly prevalent in Macbeth, a play set during the tumultuous
11th century a century filled with unrest and uneasiness (as seen in the unification of Scotland, and the
famous Norman conquest of Britain in 1066). Shakespeare s use of blood follows a circular motion; it
begins as a representation of honour, and progresses into one of guilt, then evil and finally returns to
represent honour.
The symbolic use of blood, forms in the opening lines of Macbeth after accepting honour for his
bravery in battle. His sword, smoked with bloody execution signifies valiant fighting as a brave
soldier, and he is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Lady Macbeth, unlike her husband, does not show any guilt or sorrow directly after their diabolical act
of regicide, until her fevered sleepwalking, where she exposes her guilt using the most blatant
example of blood imagery the whole murder, in detail. Will these hands never be clean? Here s the
smell of blood still. She can no longer feel that water will simply wash away the blood and thus, guilt
and it is this thought that drives her to suicide.
Imagery should evoke all senses in the audience or reader. It is for this reason that Shakespeare uses
blood imagery in Macbeth. Using this method, Shakespeare reveals the transformation of the tragedy s
main characters and evokes varying emotional responses from the audience. This imagery also
intensifies the excitement and enhances the treachery of the crimes. The blood imagery in Macbeth is
significant for several reasons. Primarily, it signifies that the essence of the victims life has left; and,
as such, it symbolizes the loss of true humanness in Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, who share
responsibility for the murders. For, in shedding the blood of the god like Duncan and the good
Banquo, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth become stained with the sin of their bloody deeds. Finally, with
so much imagery of blood, the horror of Macbeth s heinous deeds leaves a lasting effect upon

Women and Flexibility in the Workplace The focus of this paper is to evaluate factors that have
affected women`s pay in the workforce. The analysis of historical factors affecting women`s flexibility
in the workplace as a continuous social and structural issue is added to the paper to explain the need
for change because of the demands that accompany working female caregivers in the home. Historical
and statistical data is provided to validate the issues surrounding unequal pay scales women
commonly experience in the workplace. A hypothesis is developed to suggest the type`s of change that
women hope to see take place in the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
At the time the law was passed, it was estimated that women were earning 59% of the average wage
(Giraffe, 2011). In 2011 the estimate had risen to 82% ratio of pay for women compared to men.
Lower pay scales for women means lower retirement benefits, pension pay, and 401k`s. The low pay
scales were insulting enough to the female gender but deeper issued existed such as the flexibility
needed to care for children, home, and personal healthcare.
Structural and Social Concerns Surrounding Women in the Workforce Women are typically the
nurturers in the home. Mother`s have been responsible for childcare, PTA, grade mothers, and sports
moms for many generations before males began filling the roles because females were working
outside the homes. Although it is not uncommon in todays society to see dad`s stay at home and fill
the roles typically filled by women; it is a relatively new role for males in the last 25 years. The
National Organization for Women, 2012, reports that, Different societal expectations for wives
compared to husbands and mothers compared to fathers . Taylor, 2000, quotes Rita Donaghy, president
of the Trades Union Congress, stating, We want to see a labor market which does not penalize mothers
but rather uses their skills in a modern and dynamic economy . Women with children face issues such
as childcare, adequate after school programs, leaving children unattended, and the cost for such care.

Violent Crimes Vs White Collar Crimes
White Collar Crimes and Violent Crimes and whether or not they should receive the same priority
levels. This discussion question I feel is like comparing apples to oranges. These are two completely
different types of crimes, usually with completely different victims.
White collar crimes are important and can result in a large loss of money or assets. White collar
crimes are often referred to or viewed as victimless crimes. However, this is not the case. According to
the Federal Bureau of Investigations White Collar Crime website, a white collar crime scam can do
everything from destroying and bankrupting a company, cost a family their entire life savings, or cost
investors billions of dollars, or possibly all three. Scams are extremely prevalent

Path Analysis Paper
Main analyses involved running each of three models through AMOS SEM software separately, using
path analysis techniques to assess direct and indirect effects, among the present observed variables
(Arbuckle, 2013). Path analysis, which is based on multiple regressions, examines the relationship
between exogenous (i.e., variable not causes by another variable, but effects one or more variables in
model) and endogenous variables (i.e., a variable that is caused or effected by one or more variables in
a model; Iacobucci, 2010). Path models examine the total effects, as well as the direct and indirect of
effects of variables in a single model, simultaneously (Peterson et al., 2014). Structural equation
modeling path analysis techniques are superior to standard regression analyses in that they: 1) provide
more accurate estimates of the effects of hypothesized variables; 2) estimate all effects
simultaneously; 3) allow for greater accuracy of parameter estimates when examining competing
models; and 4) allow the researcher to compare effects of multiple mediators (Zhao, Lynch, Chen,
2010).
Mediation Testing. Data were fit to the path model using AMOS SEM software. For Model 1(see
Figure 3) and Model 2 (see Figure 4), ethnic identity was examined as a mediating variable between
community participation neighborhood sense of community and psychological empowerment (Model
1) and 30 day substance use (Model 2). For Model 3 (see Figure 5), psychological empowerment was

4. Construct a price‐scan rate map (using an Excel XY plot, for example). Use the following numbers
(Culled from the case): Looking at the price scan rate map, the BV600, the S1031 and the BD600 all
line up on the same value equivalent line. However, the BG400 lies north of that VEL. This implies
that the BG400 is sold at a premium compared to the other projectors. . 5. Put yourself in Sony s
shoes. You look at the answers to the 4 above questions. Given your capabilities and resources, what
should your strategy be? Specifically, what would you price the 1270 at? Given Sony s superior 8 tube
technology and its worldwide network of dealers, especially its 500 dealers in the U.S. market versus
BPS s 100, Sony s primary goal should be capturing market share in the graphics projector segment.
One way to estimate the price for S1270 is by using the value map from the previous scenario. After
adding the S1027 data projector on the value map (as shown below), we can see that Sony has to price
the projector in the range of $17,000 $18,000(Option 1)to be on the value equivalence line. Since
Sony has a strong distributor presence in the US market, it can introduce S1027 at a price lesser than
$17,000 to be at a value advantaged position depending on product margins. From Sony s point of
view, if it were to price 1270 at $15,000 (option 2) this might lower the value equivalence line and put
BPS s products at a value

  • 5. Comparison and Contrast between American and Indian... Fasting and Feasting is a novel written by Anita Desai that narrates the story of the protagonist, Uma, and her family s life. The novel is divided in two parts. Part one deals with Uma s life in India until the tragic death of her cousin Anamika, and part two tells the story of Uma s brother, Arun, as he spends his summer with the Pattons, a typical American suburban family. Throughout the novel, Desai explores the theme of family life and uses the novel s two settings, America and India, to compare and contrast the values and customs that constitute each respective culture s family life. At first glance, American and Indian families are foils of one another because of the relationships between the family members that composed them. As ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This quote is an example of how in Indian society, even a distant relative can exert life changing influence on a person. On the contrary, in the Patton s family life there seems to be no influence coming from extended family members. The limited time frame in which Arun lives with the Pattons does not provide extensive insight of the family s life. Because of this particular way that Desai chose to write about the Pattons, the reader is led to believe that affiliations with extended family are inexistent in the American family s household. The consolidated nature of Indian families gives extended family members the power to have great influence over their younger relatives. If this aspect of Indian family life holds true, then it is natural for parents to have a colossal amount of influence over their children. In the Indian culture, parents are a symbol of unquestionable authority and the unmovable force of their household. We can see that Indian children are educated ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. The IQ Debate Essay Intelligence can be defined in many different ways. This concept has been the focus of numerous studies and investigations by psychologists and other scientific experts. Intelligence can be the mental ability to reason, plan ahead, understand a wide range of complex issues and learn from past experiences (Gottfredson, 1997). Intelligence is the resultant of the process of acquiring, storing in memory, retrieving, combining, comparing, and using in new contexts information and conceptual skills (Humphreys, 1979) Intelligence is commonly measured through the use of a number of scales and quantitative measures, like the Intelligence Quotient (IQ), developed by Alfred Binet in early 20th century to identify which French children needed ... Far right commentators generally support this argument, which has been supported by the findings of a number of researches, including those led by Professor Robert Plomin (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/850358.stm). They have also utilised these arguments to explain a wide range of social phenomena, including crime. Other experts have strongly disagreed with this view, arguing that intelligence levels are directly related to situational factors. Environmental factors like the quality of the education system can have a very significant influence in the development of intelligence. Situational factors have been used by psychologists to explain a wide range of phenomena. A great number of sociologists, psychologists and criminologist have studied the circumstances and background that makes crime possible, in order to identify the main reasons and causes of crime by looking at the learning process that generates crime. The use of IQ to explain deviancy and crime has greatly influenced the debates of psychologists in this respect. In this respect, studies like those carried out by Sutherland have looked at the role played by psychological issues and disorders. The Differential Association Theory was a theory on crime and deviancy developed by Edwin Sutherland during the thirties. Essay on Biodiversity Biodiversity INTRODUCTION Franck and Brownstone define biological diversity as the variety and variability of living organisms and the biological communities in which they live (36). Decades of progress in both the scientific and political arenas have advanced environmental legislation to protect biodiversity at not only the ecosystem level, but for specific species and genetic material as well. Research has shown the importance of every organism and their role in the global ecosystem, and legislation has gradually matured to protect not only species which may become endangered, but the habitats they need to survive as well. Growing consciousness surrounding environmental issues has enabled these protections to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Simultaneously, thousands of other species across the globe face the same threat: extinction. Biodiversity is an essential part of our world, our global ecosystem. As Planet Earth?s resources diminish and its creatures vanish, those who recognize the need to preserve what is disappearing look to international politics to accomplish what individuals cannot. The most important instrument for implementation of international policy has been the Convention On International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), which went into effect in 1975. The plight of the rhinoceros is not unlike the all too familiar danger that the elephant faces. Illegal trade is greatly responsible for the endangerment of the species. Valued for their ivory horns, over 90% of the five rhino species have disappeared, while the rest continue to dwindle. The worth of one rhinoceros horn is $44,000, and the demand remains high in the countries of China, Taiwan, South Korea and in the Middle East. In East Asia, the horns are regarded as powerful medicinal tools, known to cure everything from nosebleeds to food poisoning. In a powdered from, the horn is thought to be a powerful aphrodisiac. • 8. Discursive Violence in Silko’s Yashtoah With the help of, or the lack thereof, written history has drastically changed oral tradition. In Leslie Marmon Silko s Storyteller, she tells her story and the story of her people. Oral tradition is essential to the Native American culture. These stories are handed down from generation to the next. The stories are sacred and those who know the stories are expected to protect the sanctity and validity of these stories. Silko invites the readers into the Laguna culture with the stories, including Yashtoah , that give a glimpse of the values of the Laguna tribe. Without doubt, as these stories are passed down, some parts may be left out which is known as discursive violence. The transition from oral tradition to written history, entire cultures and their traditions can be lost or forgotten. With the use of syntax, natural images, punctuation, and the presence of surrealism, the Yashtoah story is an example of the discursive violence present in this text. The text offers a very simple and informal word choice. The syntax contributes to Silko s attempt to counter discursive violence. The use of everyday words assists in the validity of the story and how it is passed down from generation to generation. Also, the narrator uses native Indian vocabulary that also could be seen as countering discursive violence. Using vocabulary familiar to the tribe makes the communication between the storyteller and the audience easier. It also aids in the understanding of the story. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A CMA, also known as a certified medical assistant, is an individual that has been awarded a certification credential through the Certifying Board of the American Association of Medical Assistants(AAMA). CMA has been educated in a wide scope of general, clinical, and administrative responsibilities. They were also tested. CMAs play major roles in the medical field, by aiding other professionals to help patients. One pro is, being able to help people. Some are in it just to help people and cure them of their sickness. Just to be able to help someone is an enjoyment to them. CMAs can work anywhere, between nursing home facilities, offices, and hospitals of course. Some build relationships with their patients and some may say that isn t a pro but it isn t good to just be rude and dull to a patient. It s better to be happy and optimistic around a patient. You can be certified to work in any state. Instead of being tied down to one state only, the certification allows the person to work anywhere across the country. You work regular hours. Unlike some workers in the medical profession: nurses, doctors, etc. CMAs get off at the exact time that s on their schedule, no overtimes or anything and they know their schedule. There are plenty of jobs. The field is to grow at least by 23% by 2022. The drawbacks of becoming a CMA is it can be very tiring. Especially working in a hospital or a nursing home, the patients could be a little too much or extremely sick and they may need extra care and that may be tiring. Some CMAs should perform both administrative and clinical duties which can become very frustrating and overwhelming. Another drawback is the pay rate and the amount of schooling. CMAs typically receive lower wages than most medical professions and do about the same amount of schooling as doctors and nurses and doing much more, they don t get much at all. Compared to RNs they make $31,000 less and compared to doctors they make $171,000 less. But most people that go into that field probably aren t in it for the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In animals, clones can occur when a zygote, or embryo splits in half at least once. This creates two identical eggs with the same DNA. • 12. The Soul By Mary Oliver Summary From the earliest philosophical debates to the latest scientific research and experiments, the issue of inner being or soul is unanswerable yet. Such spiritual mysterious like the eternal connection between creatures in nature is a favorite theme among poets. In this poem, Mary Oliver demonstrates the ideology that soul and consciousness are not uniquely for humans. The main themes continue to be the intersection between the human and the natural world, as well as the limits of language in articulating such a meeting. Although she has been criticized for writing poetry that assumes a dangerously close relationship of women with nature, she is only strengthened through an immersion with nature. Writing while walking around the woods, Mary is the kind of person who scribbles but shared it. Manifesting her experience of touch and feel does a great job to sum of our reality. The listener is affected by her language and certainly feel more attached to the environment and the mother earth. The poet deliberately illustrates the reality of the soul using visual examples to indicate a better understanding of spirit which is subjective. For instance, selecting iron as a symbol of solid element requires a great vision which makes an invisible reality more sensible. By giving tangible examples of other animals, she tries to open the reader s mind that they should experience the similar thoughts about their existence. • 14. Pros And Cons Of Natural Law Theory Natural Law Thomas Aquinas produced the natural law theory with the believe that all human choices should be an attempt to avoid evil. When considering the option actions, one must evaluate each option to ensure they do not violate any of the six universal human values. The six universal human values include human life, health, procreation, welfare of children, knowledge, and human relationships. If an optional action directly violates any one of these values then it is not morally permissible. Option 1: Do Nothing Violates Human Life Violates Health If Selena Gomez did nothing about the ethical issue following the show Thirteen Reasons Why s release that would directly violate the values of human life and health. With suicidal teens having continued access to Thirteen Reasons Why and it s triggering episodes, the risk for suicide would continue to rise. Along with the risk of suicide, viewing this Netflix series can be poisonous to one s mental health. Not only would the mental health of suicidal teens be at risk, but the mental health of their parents, friends and family would be at risk as well. Option 2: Remove Thirteen Reasons Why from Netflix Violates Human Relationships If Selena Gomez were to have Thirteen Reasons Why removed from Netflix she would violate the relationships between her and the entire staff of the show. With the show being removed from Netflix it would lose ratings which would affect the relationships of the fans and the cast of Thirteen Reasons Why. Option 4: Ban Thirteen Reasons Why Completely Violates Human Relationships If Selena Gomez banned Thirteen Reasons Why completely it would inevitably violate many human relationships. The relationships between the cast if the show and their fans would diminish after the show s elimination. Also, the relationships between the cast of the show and the producers and anybody who would be financially affected by Selena Gomez s choice to demolish the show. According to Aquinas natural law theory, the only options that are morally permissible are option three which is to make a public service announcement, and option six which is to revise the show and remove the graphic scenes which exhibit suicide and rape. • 22. Violence In Colonial America The process of colonization in the Americas was a complex and complicated series of events, each driven by the varied interests of an array of European empires. For some, the Americas were a world of untold riches, while for others, this discovery allowed for missionary efforts to convert Native Americans to their faith. Regardless of the reason, violence against the many Native Americans who inhabited this new land was a common colonization tool to achieve these means. Direct violence is the most well known approach, one that Spain wielded so effectively that the Black Legend was created to attest to their cruelty. Yet, the violence used was not all direct in nature. Cultural violence, which England employed itself, was used just as often. Overall, though the Black Legend has led to Spain being viewed as the most violent colonizer in the Americas, England s use of indirect violence through engagement in the fur trade and missionary efforts was just as destructive to Native Americans. As mentioned above, the concept of violence used in colonization, especially that of the Americas, is usually thought of in only one form. The word conjures images of conquistadores storming villages, officials forcing Natives into slavery, and the brutal killings of those who did not adhere to European rule and religious ideals. • 31. What Are The 4 Laws Of Thermodynamics The four fundamental laws of thermodynamics are used to define how physical quantities behave under various circumstances, these include energy, entropy, and temperature. The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy in the universe is always conserved, therefore it cannot be created or destroyed, and it can only be transformed from one form to another. The second law of thermodynamics states that entropy of isolated systems always increases, this means that in all processes of energy exchange, if no energy is introduced to or leaves a system, the sum of potential energy will be less than initial condition. The third law of thermodynamics states that the entropy of a system is maintained as the temperature decreases to absolute zero. The fourth law of thermodynamics defines temperature equilibrium between systems. The first law of thermodynamics defines that energy can be transformed but not destroyed. It s used to define the internal energy contained in a system. It s formulated by pointing out the change in internal energy in system minus work and heat that add and subtract energy in the system. Moreover, the second law helps to clarify different ways in which motors change heat into mechanical work, for example in steam turbines and car engines. The Origins Of The World Viking, the word conjures up images of well built men with long hair and braided beards wearing firs and horned helmets, holding axes and shields, ready to battle so they can return home to consume bountiful feasts. The word brings to mind fanciful stories like Beowulf where these very same men fight beasts after a night of stuffing their gullets and consuming large amounts of mead. There are so many stories about these warriors that many of them have become legendary individuals, but there is so little information about the people who provided the food to keep the so powered up, the people who provided the nourishment for the rest of their community while the warriors plundered and defended their honor. There is little known about the farmers. There is even less known about these unsung heroes around the time that Christianity took over the Norse culture. A group of researchers that took part in a study in Skagafjörður Iceland was determined to change that. Iceland has some of the richest Viking history, next to The Netherlands, so the fact that the people living there would want a more in depth history makes sense. Murphy and Zoëga took a special interest in a small site in the project, to see how the common non warrior Viking lived their lives. • 42. Essay on Symbolic Meaning of Blood in Macbeth by William... Shakespeare, in his work Macbeth, uses many forms of imagery to grasp the attention of the audience. His particular use of blood imagery is highly prevalent in Macbeth, a play set during the tumultuous 11th century a century filled with unrest and uneasiness (as seen in the unification of Scotland, and the famous Norman conquest of Britain in 1066). Shakespeare s use of blood follows a circular motion; it begins as a representation of honour, and progresses into one of guilt, then evil and finally returns to represent honour. The symbolic use of blood, forms in the opening lines of Macbeth after accepting honour for his bravery in battle. His sword, smoked with bloody execution signifies valiant fighting as a brave soldier, and he is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Lady Macbeth, unlike her husband, does not show any guilt or sorrow directly after their diabolical act of regicide, until her fevered sleepwalking, where she exposes her guilt using the most blatant example of blood imagery the whole murder, in detail. Will these hands never be clean? Here s the smell of blood still. She can no longer feel that water will simply wash away the blood and thus, guilt and it is this thought that drives her to suicide. Imagery should evoke all senses in the audience or reader. It is for this reason that Shakespeare uses blood imagery in Macbeth. Using this method, Shakespeare reveals the transformation of the tragedy s main characters and evokes varying emotional responses from the audience. This imagery also intensifies the excitement and enhances the treachery of the crimes. The blood imagery in Macbeth is significant for several reasons. Primarily, it signifies that the essence of the victims life has left; and, as such, it symbolizes the loss of true humanness in Macbeth and Lady Macbeth, who share responsibility for the murders. For, in shedding the blood of the god like Duncan and the good Banquo, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth become stained with the sin of their bloody deeds. Path Analysis Paper Main analyses involved running each of three models through AMOS SEM software separately, using path analysis techniques to assess direct and indirect effects, among the present observed variables (Arbuckle, 2013). Path analysis, which is based on multiple regressions, examines the relationship between exogenous (i.e., variable not causes by another variable, but effects one or more variables in model) and endogenous variables (i.e., a variable that is caused or effected by one or more variables in a model; Iacobucci, 2010). Path models examine the total effects, as well as the direct and indirect of effects of variables in a single model, simultaneously (Peterson et al., 2014). Structural equation modeling path analysis techniques are superior to standard regression analyses in that they: 1) provide more accurate estimates of the effects of hypothesized variables; 2) estimate all effects simultaneously; 3) allow for greater accuracy of parameter estimates when examining competing models; and 4) allow the researcher to compare effects of multiple mediators (Zhao, Lynch, Chen, 2010).
