The document provides instructions for putting existing work into a presentation format to meet specific requirements. It outlines that the presentation should include 8 slides: a title slide, intro slides on general and specific skills, and slides on individual skills already completed and a new third specific skill. It advises deciding what information goes on each slide and in the notes section, and ensuring the presentation looks professional. It also provides feedback that a third specific skill is needed, more detail should be added to the notes section than on the slides, and notes about non-verbal communication methods for the presentation should be included.

1. What do you need to do now?
Put your existing work into a presentation to meet the following requirements:
Slide 1: Title Slide
Slide 2: Intro to general characteristics, what they are and which two you have
chosen
Slide 3: Your 1st general skill (ALREADY COMPLETED) LINK TO AN IT JOB
Slide 4: Your 2nd general skill (ALREADY COMPLETED) LINK TO AN IT JOB
Slide 5: Intro to specific characteristics, what they are and which two you have
chosen
Slide 6: Your 1st specific skill (ALREADY COMPLETED)
Slide 7: Your 2nd specific skill (ALREADY COMPLETED)
Slide 8: Add a 3rd specific skill
Now we need to make this into a presentation you can present!
1.Decide which information you want on the slide and what you can write into the
notes section
2.Make sure your presentation looks professional
3. General characteristics are valued in all jobs and
include:
•Excellent communication
•Effective working
•Self-starter
•Flexibility
4. A business would value teamwork as a skill because:
•You may be required to work with colleagues in order to complete
certain tasks.
•You may need to listen and contribute in group discussions to bring
new ideas forward.
•It can help to get tasks done quicker and this would be more effective.
•It makes the working environment a nicer place and therefore people
will be enthusiastic.
5. A business would value teamwork as a skill because:
•You may be needed to work with people who are involved with the
business, other businesses, other colleagues and customers because the
business needs to interact with a range of people.
•It helps to motivate each other because colleagues give each other ideas.
•It makes a business stronger than businesses where people work alone and
therefore the business would be the strongest.
•You will need to get on with all other colleagues so that the business
succeeds.
•Teamwork would be valued in jobs such as a Junior IT support
Technician.
6. A business would value organisation as a skill because:
•You may be required to organise events, meetings or interviews.
•You may be required to lead a task set and make sure that it is completed
by the due date so that the business is at it’s highest standards.
•You may need to handle a lot of important information and this
information should be kept secure for confidentiality.
•It may prevent stress if you know where everything is and this means if
you are more relaxed, tasks will be completed to a higher standard.
7. A business would value organisation as a skill because:
•If your work place is more organised, then it may be a calmer environment
and a business would value this because jobs/tasks will be completed more
effectively.
•You will need to know where to be, what to do and at what time to do tasks/
jobs set and a business would value this because the staff in a business can
often reflect and give people an impression of a business.
•If you are organised, then you will be seen as more professional and a
business would value this because if they look good, then they are more likely
to earn the most money.
•Organisation would be valued in jobs such as a Junior It support
technician.
8. Specific characteristics for a graphic designer could
include:
•Expert n Adobe Illustrator (Graphic Designer).
•Expert in Adobe In design (Graphic Designer).
•Expert in Adobe Photoshop (Graphic Designer).
The above three specific characteristics are the ones
I have chosen to write about.
9. A business would require this skill because:
•You may be required to use Illustrator in order to create different products.
•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe Illustrator and
therefore you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).
•Adobe Illustrator may be a common media within the job.
10. Being an expert in Adobe In Design is required for extremely similar reasons to being
an expert in Adobe Illustrator.
A business would require this skill because:
•You may be required to use Adobe In Design in order to create different products.
•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe In Design and therefore
you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).
•Adobe In Design may be a common media within the job.
11. Being an expert in Adobe Photoshop is also required for extremely similar reasons to
being an expert in Adobe Illustrator.
A business would require this skill because:
•You may be required to use Adobe Photoshop in order to create different
products.
•You may be required to help new employees how to use Adobe Photoshop
and therefore you need to fully understand it yourself ( be an expert).
•Adobe Photoshop may be a common media within the job.
12.
13. Go back to specific characteristics
Specific skills
•Expert in Adobe In Design - able to use
Adobe In Design – beneficial because a
graphic designer, needs to do a lot of work
in Adobe In Design .

graphic designer needs to do a lot of work
in Adobe Illustrator.
General skills
•Excellent communication and listening
skills - ability to discuss projects and
ideas with others and be able to work
maturely with everyone and to listen to
other ideas and people – beneficial
because in every job all ideas must be
considered to get the best result.
•Self-starter – always aware of what
needs doing, not waiting until asked to
complete a task - beneficial because
there is nearly always something to do
and the quicker things get done, the
more the business succeeds.
14. Go back to organisation
Go Back to teamwork
General skills
•Works effectively with colleagues and integrates well into the companies culture – to
‘fit in’ and work effectively with colleagues - beneficial because if an employee works
effectively, they will complete the task to the highest standard.
•Works effectively in a team – beneficial because in every job there is always some
task which can not be completed alone.
•Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances –you can change routine without any
drastic effects to your working standards or pace - beneficial because a business is
always changing.

time limits (ect.) and are always on time – beneficial because a business needs to be
on time to succeed.

the police for any criminals records (criminal records bureau) - beneficial
because if you are going to be lecturing young people, you need to be
able to be trusted around them.

ITIL – beneficial
because for this
job it is required
that you have an
ITIL qualification.
General skills
•Working with the
team –you must be
able to work
effectively with
others - beneficial
because if an
employee can work
with the ‘team’,
they will gather all
ideas.
General attributes
•Able to work with
people at all levels in
the organisation – must
be able to work
effectively with anyone
involved with business beneficial because
when you are working
in a business, you may
have to work with lower
people in the business
to collect ideas and
then present them
ideas to the top people
in the business.
17. You are missing:
You need a 3rd specific skills – A-C’s isn’t
specific
You need more notes and less on your
slides
You need to add notes about non verbal
communication methods and how you
plan to use these in your presentation.
