Zomato collects large amounts of data from its mobile app, website, user locations and search histories to provide restaurant information and online ordering services. It uses tools like Google Analytics, Excel and Tableau to analyze data on sales patterns, customer preferences and operational efficiency. This allows Zomato to improve its services and target advertising, which generates most of its revenue. The collection and analysis of user data is essential to Zomato's growth and business model.

A short presentation presented by me and 5 of my friends as a final project, on the business policies, marketing strategies, and functioning of Zomato.
A comprehensive SEO and Search Marketing Plan for Zomato, a new entrant in the Irish Market. The objectives included: Increase Brand Awareness, Increase Sign Ups, Increase App Downloads and Promote Review Writing. Designed six different campaigns under Search Marketing. Identified weak areas of Zomato website in terms of SEO, and made recommendations to improve organic ranking.
These slides use concepts from my (Jeff Funk) course entitled Biz Models for Hi-Tech Products to analyze the business model for Zomato, a food discovery site that is transforming the global restaurant business and that is a member of the WSJ’s billion dollar startup club. Not only does it connect users and restaurants, it is also helping restaurants manage their finances, food and equipment orders, and design restaurants. Its core business is helping users find, book, and evaluate restaurants and helping restaurants advertise their services to users and accept bookings. However, the global network that Zomato is building of users and restaurants is enabling Zomato to extend its business into all aspects of F&B.

Zomato is the almost everyday app for most of us. The major purpose was to show a listing of restaurants. It did a great job and helped define eating out as an “experience” to
common people.
Now Zomato has branched itself to ordering food, which is a totally different paradigm than eating out. This project tries to explore if there are any unsatisfied user needs, catering to which would enhance the experience ordering food.

Eatby Pitch Deck: It’s always good to know your guests’ tastesJp Mohanty
We are part of SAP Venture and FB Accelerator Startup. Our product stands unique in terms of its offering (Data Analytics/Predictive analytics/ Machine learning) in a food tech business domain.
We provide restaurants with a SaaS-based platform to facilitate the Data Analytics, Taste Analytics, and Sentiment Analytics solutions. We analyze the data from different social channels(Zomato, Facebook, FourSquare etc) and provide restaurants with meaningful insights (E.g. Social Rankings city/location wise for different sectors of a restaurant, Social Engagements by aggregating reviews, Topic extractions from reviews to bifurcate Food, Services, nd Ambience improvement areas etc) to improvise their business with enhanced customer support. Website link: https://analytics.eatby.in/Eatby/
We have plans to extend the similar model/analytics with other domains such as Hotels/Hospitality and other consumer domains.
In addition, Eatby is part of FB Start Program. This has enabled us to build the unique chatbot assistant to reserve table across restaurants. This could be directly embedded to a restaurant's FB page from where restaurants can accept order for reservations in less than 15 secs of time. Bot link: https://www.messenger.com/t/7Curries/ (Say Hi to start the conversation)
In our future roadmap, we aim to build a full fledged restaurant customer support system leveraging the FB Chatbot assistant. This will enable both users and restaurants to quickly address the issues.

In business, a distribution channel refers to means or route through which products or services are transferred from the producer or manufacturer to the end consumer. It encompasses a series of intermediaries, such as wholesalers, retailers, and distributors, who facilitate the movement and exchange of goods in the marketplace.
It plays a crucial role in ensuring that products reach the right place at the right time, connecting producers with consumers and maximizing the availability and accessibility of goods in the market.
When Zomato launched, it aimed to be the best restaurant search and discovery platform. It had the names of various restaurants, their menu, their prices, reviews, and other details. It provided in-depth information on over 1.4 million restaurants across 23 countries.
Over the years, it has converted itself into an online food delivery platform. People can now order food from the restaurants near them using their app or website. Zomato has delivery executives who pick up the order from the eatery and deliver it to the address provided by the customer.
Now that we are discussing Zomato, let’s take a look at their marketing strategy too.
Today, restaurant software influences nearly all core functions of a successful restaurant business – acquiring customers, booking tables, processing orders, kitchen displays, billing, payments, inventory, marketing and retaining customers. Online delivery marketplaces and restaurant aggregators have caused restaurant owners to re-think their business models and explore different revenue streams. And Restaurant-Technology is growing steadily as a separate category than the overarching and more noticeable “Food tech”.
To better understand the entire software stack used by restaurants, let’s divide them into two categories – guest-facing and back-of-house. Guest-facing restaurant software is any software (think app, website, online ordering, loyalty) that a restaurant guest comes directly in contact with. Back-of-house software refers to tools and software that restaurants use to streamline their operations and make their processes more efficient.

Levelwise PageRank with Loop-Based Dead End Handling Strategy : SHORT REPORT ...Subhajit Sahu
Abstract — Levelwise PageRank is an alternative method of PageRank computation which decomposes the input graph into a directed acyclic block-graph of strongly connected components, and processes them in topological order, one level at a time. This enables calculation for ranks in a distributed fashion without per-iteration communication, unlike the standard method where all vertices are processed in each iteration. It however comes with a precondition of the absence of dead ends in the input graph. Here, the native non-distributed performance of Levelwise PageRank was compared against Monolithic PageRank on a CPU as well as a GPU. To ensure a fair comparison, Monolithic PageRank was also performed on a graph where vertices were split by components. Results indicate that Levelwise PageRank is about as fast as Monolithic PageRank on the CPU, but quite a bit slower on the GPU. Slowdown on the GPU is likely caused by a large submission of small workloads, and expected to be non-issue when the computation is performed on massive graphs.
As Europe's leading economic powerhouse and the fourth-largest hashtag#economy globally, Germany stands at the forefront of innovation and industrial might. Renowned for its precision engineering and high-tech sectors, Germany's economic structure is heavily supported by a robust service industry, accounting for approximately 68% of its GDP. This economic clout and strategic geopolitical stance position Germany as a focal point in the global cyber threat landscape.
In the face of escalating global tensions, particularly those emanating from geopolitical disputes with nations like hashtag#Russia and hashtag#China, hashtag#Germany has witnessed a significant uptick in targeted cyber operations. Our analysis indicates a marked increase in hashtag#cyberattack sophistication aimed at critical infrastructure and key industrial sectors. These attacks range from ransomware campaigns to hashtag#AdvancedPersistentThreats (hashtag#APTs), threatening national security and business integrity.
🔑 Key findings include:
🔍 Increased frequency and complexity of cyber threats.
🔍 Escalation of state-sponsored and criminally motivated cyber operations.
🔍 Active dark web exchanges of malicious tools and tactics.
Our comprehensive report delves into these challenges, using a blend of open-source and proprietary data collection techniques. By monitoring activity on critical networks and analyzing attack patterns, our team provides a detailed overview of the threats facing German entities.
This report aims to equip stakeholders across public and private sectors with the knowledge to enhance their defensive strategies, reduce exposure to cyber risks, and reinforce Germany's resilience against cyber threats.
Techniques to optimize the pagerank algorithm usually fall in two categories. One is to try reducing the work per iteration, and the other is to try reducing the number of iterations. These goals are often at odds with one another. Skipping computation on vertices which have already converged has the potential to save iteration time. Skipping in-identical vertices, with the same in-links, helps reduce duplicate computations and thus could help reduce iteration time. Road networks often have chains which can be short-circuited before pagerank computation to improve performance. Final ranks of chain nodes can be easily calculated. This could reduce both the iteration time, and the number of iterations. If a graph has no dangling nodes, pagerank of each strongly connected component can be computed in topological order. This could help reduce the iteration time, no. of iterations, and also enable multi-iteration concurrency in pagerank computation. The combination of all of the above methods is the STICD algorithm. [sticd] For dynamic graphs, unchanged components whose ranks are unaffected can be skipped altogether.

Business analytics in Zomato food chain
1. A Study On The Use Of Data Analytics To Improve Business By
Zomato Food Chain
By
Aditya Ramachandra Hegde (RVCE20MPD028)
RV College of Engineering®
Subject: Business Analytics [18CS2G01]
2.
3. INTRODUCTION
Zomato is a fastest growing online food ordering company.
It was established in 2008 and renamed in 2010
The company was India’s first foodtech unicorn .
Zomato has been a big success during the recent pandemic.
Main motto of the company is to abolish hunger and deliver the food
faster and safer every time.
4. MAJOR SERVICES OF ZOMATO
Restaurant Search & Discovery
Restaurant Ratings & Reviews
Online Order
Food Delivery Pick Up
Ordering Take away
Table Reservations
Ingredients supply to restaurants
5. BUSINESS MODEL OF ZOMATO
Zomato follows a simple business model.
While starting afresh in the new city, some number of people is
assigned in each city to collect data about the restaurants and clubs
around the city.
There is a centralized team based out of NCR which processes and
crosschecks the data to confirm the validity.
The data is then processed to be put up on the website.
6. There is a separate team for advertising, which sells the website to
the restaurant owners and attracts them to advertise with Zomato.
95% of the revenues are earned from advertisements from the local
restaurants, while the rest can be attributed to event ticketing and
restaurant booking.
7. DATA COLLECTION FROM ZOMATO
If we consider Bangalore, it has more than 12000 restaurants, serving
different dishes from all over the world. New restaurants opening each and
everyday.
So collection of their data and using them to provide the service even
better plays a major and important role in the growth of any of the
business.
In case of Zomato it’s a very hard process as new restaurants are added
every time and they need to face very serious competition from the
restaurants which are which are very well set and already have the good
amount of customers.
8. Usually Zomato collects a good amount money in order to advertise and
put them on the front of it a app or website.
For example: when we open a Zomato app we usually see most of the
times an option of dominos or pizza hut which are famous food chains and
they pay well to Zomato to be in the top.
Due to these reasons Zomato has a serious problem of saving restaurants
which are not as big as these so as to have the restaurants not backing off
from the service of online orders.
9. DIFFERENT WAYS OF DATA COLLECTION IN
ZOMATO
• Mobile app and website
• Location
• Search history
• Previous orders
• Recently visited place
• Recently ordered particular
food
• Depends on food preferences
• Third party apps
10. HOW DATA INTERPRETATION TAKES
PLACE ON USERS APP OR WEBSITE?
• Address : This contains the address of the restaurant in surrounding.
• Name : This contains the name of the restaurant.
• Online order : Whether online ordering is available in the restaurant
or not.
• Rate : Contains the overall rating of the restaurant out of 5.
• Votes : Contains the total number of upvotes for the restaurant.
11. • Restaurant type : Veg/Nonveg
• Dish liked : Dishes people liked most in the restaurant
• Menu item : Contains a list of menus available in the
restaurant
• Listed in(type) : Type of meal, may be something like

renamed the MaplePOS product to 'Zomato Base'. Zomato Base
helps in managing restaurant operations from a single platform.
• The Zomato uses excel to clean data and Tableau to analyze the data.
14. ZOMATO BASE
• Menu Management
• Inventory Management
• Recipe Management
• Customer Relationship Management
• Data Analytics
• Electronic Receipts
• Offline Transaction Support
• Payment Gateway Integration
• feature that will change the way restaurants go about their business
15. TABLEAU
• Tableau Desktop
• Tableau Server

efficiency
• creating dashboards to influence business
strategy & implementation
16. CONCLUSION
Zomato’s offering the list of all restaurants, the type of food (menu),
detailed analysis of restaurants, working hours, location of the eatery,
and most importantly, the reviews from other users which are mostly
from the datasets collected all users.
The business model is simple and is based on hyperlocal advertising
on its website and mobile apps that also takes in to account user
preferences.
This website has a visitor base of over 7.5 million users every month
across 22 countries, so we can imagine the kind of data is generated
and amount of resources need to be considered in the process to keep
the customer intact with the business.
17. • It has become a highly targeted platform for restaurant owners to
market their products to customers who are looking for meal options
and this forms the key revenue generator for Zomato.
