Jednym z ważniejszych elementów sklepu internetowego, mającym ogromny wpływ na sprzedaż, jest proces zakupowy, czyli wszystkie kroki, które użytkownik musi zrealizowad po dodaniu do koszyka produktów, aby sfinalizowad swój zakup. Im więcej problemów i trudności napotka na drodze kupna, tym łatwiej jest mu zrezygnowad i porzucid swoje zakupy. Według statystyk 59,8% użytkowników przerywa proces zakupowy i nigdy go nie kooczy [Web Design]. Jeśli nawet pozostali dotrwają do kooca, to wszystkie negatywne doświadczenia wpłyną niekorzystnie na ich dalsze relacje ze sklepem. W celu poznania problemów, jakie mogą mied użytkownicy podczas procesu zakupowego, przeprowadzone zostały badania użyteczności z wykorzystaniem eyetrackingu. Głównymi obszarami, które zostały poddane badaniu były:
Opcje i informacje w koszyku
Nawigacja w procesie zakupowym,
Czytelnośd umieszczanych opisów,
Informacje o kosztach dostawy i płatności,
Działanie formularzy.
Do analizy zostały również włączone wnioski z innych badao, w których wzięto pod uwagę wpływ poszczególnych rozwiązao na konwersję (stosunek procentowy wszystkich unikalnych wizyt do wizyt, które zakooczyły się kupnem).

Editor's Notes
D omain N ame S ystem (or S ervice or S erver ), an Internet service that translates domain names into IP addresses. Because domain names are alphabetic, they're easier to remember. The Internet however, is really based on IP addresses. Every time you use a domain name, therefore, a DNS service must translate the name into the corresponding IP address. For example, the domain name www.example.com might translate to 198.105.232.4 .
