Module-I: The 5S's
Course booklets & picture slides on the

1. Basics of 5S
2. S1 – Seiri (Sort)
3. S2 – Seiton (Set-in-Order)
4. S3 – Seiso (Shine)
5. S4 – Seiketsu (Standardize)
6. S5 – Shitsuke (Sustain)
This master course contains a comprehensive body of knowledge on the concept of 5S & visual management.
The course is delivered through written lessons, loads of pictures & graphics, quizzes /assignments, a project work and a
final examination.
The contents of the course are as follows:
Module-II: 5S Audits
Course booklets on the following lessons:
1. 5S Audits (Site Assessments)
2. 5S Audit Checklist with Guidelines
Quizzes / Assignments after each lesson above
will be taken by the candidates for improved
understanding & grasping of the subject.
Module-III: Project Work
The candidates will undertake a practical project for
implementation and assessment of selected 5S activities at
their workplace / home. This will help them get practical
skills on implementation as well as auditing.
Examination
An examination consisting of multiple choice questions will
be taken by the candidates based on the contents of the
entire program.

5. Graduation/Diploma in any field.
Those who do not have above
qualification, can seek exemption based
on their educational background and the
length and type of experience.
The students are, however, expected to
have good learning ability in English.
The students will be issued course
booklets (hard copies) on enrollment in
the course. The soft copies of presentation
slides, photographs & graphics related to
lessons will be made available online
through the QPG’s website.
Personalised study plan will also be issued
to the candidates based on the course
time period selected by them.
On completion of assignments & the
required study, the students are
required to appear in an online
examination made available to them
on the internet.
Alternatively, the students not having
an access to internet will be required to
submit the hard copies of their solved
examination papers through post.
The DipQM requires around 100 hrs. of
self study by the students for the
completion of the program.
The students can plan their studies at
a flexible pace suitable to them. The
prescribed duration of the program is
3 months. However, based on
individual needs, the students can plan
& complete the program anytime
between 1 to 6 months.

DURATION CERTIFICATION
This is a dual certification program.
On successful completion of the criteria
for the program, the students will be
awarded an IAO accredited Certificate of
‘5S Lean Professional and Lead Auditor’.
