British cuisine typically consists of 3 main meals per day - breakfast between 7-9am, lunch between 12-1:30pm, and dinner between 6:30-8pm as the main meal. A traditional English breakfast includes eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomatoes, and toast. Common dinner foods are shepherd's pie with minced meat and mashed potatoes, bangers and mash of sausages and mashed potatoes, and Sunday dinner including potatoes, vegetables like brussel sprouts. Popular snacks and meals also include fish and chips, cream tea of scones with clotted cream and jam, and Marmite which is a sticky, dark brown spread that people strongly dislike or enjoy.
