AS Media Preliminary
The group was given 1-2 weeks to plan their production, during which they came up with ideas, created a storyboard, and structured their filming. However, most of their time was spent thinking of ideas, leaving less time for filming and editing. As urban black teenagers from London, they chose to depict a stereotype they felt comfortable demonstrating on video. Creating a storyboard allowed everyone to contribute and reduced doubts about ideas. Time constraints required simplifying the original idea and using basic editing, so the final product was similar to the proposal but with changes to setting and equipment.
Q4 technology
Chloe King used various media technologies at different stages of constructing, researching, planning, and evaluating her project. In the research stage, she used Microsoft Word to take notes on trailers and products, and PowerPoint to analyze examples. For planning, she storyboarded in Word and created an animatic using Movie Maker. To create the final trailer, she used Movie Maker, Flash, and a camera. For evaluation, she presented notes and received audience feedback using PowerPoint, Prezi, and SurveyMonkey.
