1. Project Introduction
• For my extended project I am going to
make a short film about a male character
living in his imaginative world.
The film will have an experimental film feel
to it as well as thriller type of genre.

2. Initial Ideas
• One of my first ideas was to make something
like the short film ‘INSiDE’ (Trevor Sands, 2002)
because it really inspired me. It is about a man
who is suffering of multiple personalities
disorder and it has a brilliant twist at the end.
• I also wanted to make a film that plays with you,
for example in ‘Fight Club’ there is also a huge
twist at the end which changes almost every
aspect of what you thought the film is about.

3. Developing Ideas
• Having ‘INSiDE’ and ‘Fight Club’ as main
influences for the extended project, I too
want to make something with a major twist
in it. I also want to bring some of the
imaginative characters in to my film, for
example ‘Checkmate’ another short film
that has got imaginary characters in it, is in
my opinion very effective.

4. Next steps
• Research more films/videos with similar
ideas/background.
• Thinking of a narrative, actions, and what’s
going to happen in general.
• Thinking of a shooting style (experimental).
