This document describes Miel de Tierra, a small-batch artisanal mezcal produced in the villages south of Zacatecas, Mexico. Miel de Tierra uses virgin oak wood to craft barrels for aging the mezcal, imparting notes of honey from the oak sap. Each bottle is numbered and can be traced back to its exact batch. The mezcal is characterized by its smooth, delicate flavors from high-quality ingredients, replacing stronger smoky flavors found in other mezcals. It has received awards including a Double Gold at the California International Spirits Competition for Best Tasting Mezcal of 2014.
