Brachial plexus injury treatment addresses severe damage to the brachial plexus, a set of nerves that runs between your spine and your shoulders, arms and hands.
Treatment for brachial plexus injury would depend on the extent of the injury, its type, the period of time since the injury occurred and other conditions.

Ducker Physio was a family-run business when it was originally established in 1992. It has gradually grown beyond the family's complete control over the years. Currently, Mark Covino, a new member of the board of directors, and Mark Ducker, one of the company's original founders and managing director, own ownership. The original family-held goals, however, to consistently provide top-notch hands-on therapy and place a premium on great customer service, have not changed. Both "Marks" are very driven and diligent, and they both place a strong emphasis on continuous development across the board while also actively seeking out consumer feedback. For many years, customers have been lured in by these familial values.
Burners and stingers are common sport-related injuries, sustained especially during contact and collision sports such as wrestling and football. These injuries affect the nerve supply / brachial plexus of the upper arm – primarily the neck or shoulder. Hence, this is also known as brachial plexus injury

Our backs are like superheroes, holding us up and helping us move around. But sometimes, even superheroes can get hurt. That’s where slip discs come in. They’re like when the inside of a special part of our back pushes out a little. This can make our backs feel sore and uncomfortable.
When our backs have a slipped disc, there are signs we can watch out for. First, there’s pain in one spot, like the lower back or neck. It can feel sharp and spread to other places. Then, our arms or legs might feel tingly or numb, like when they fall asleep. We might even have trouble moving some muscles or notice changes in how fast we react.

Ethanol (CH3CH2OH), or beverage alcohol, is a two-carbon alcohol
that is rapidly distributed in the body and brain. Ethanol alters many
neurochemical systems and has rewarding and addictive properties. It
is the oldest recreational drug and likely contributes to more morbidity,
mortality, and public health costs than all illicit drugs combined. The
5th edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
(DSM-5) integrates alcohol abuse and alcohol dependence into a single
disorder called alcohol use disorder (AUD), with mild, moderate,
and severe subclassifications (American Psychiatric Association, 2013).
In the DSM-5, all types of substance abuse and dependence have been
combined into a single substance use disorder (SUD) on a continuum
from mild to severe. A diagnosis of AUD requires that at least two of
the 11 DSM-5 behaviors be present within a 12-month period (mild
AUD: 2–3 criteria; moderate AUD: 4–5 criteria; severe AUD: 6–11 criteria).
The four main behavioral effects of AUD are impaired control over
drinking, negative social consequences, risky use, and altered physiological
effects (tolerance, withdrawal). This chapter presents an overview
of the prevalence and harmful consequences of AUD in the U.S.,
the systemic nature of the disease, neurocircuitry and stages of AUD,
comorbidities, fetal alcohol spectrum disorders, genetic risk factors, and
pharmacotherapies for AUD.

The prostate is an exocrine gland of the male mammalian reproductive system
It is a walnut-sized gland that forms part of the male reproductive system and is located in front of the rectum and just below the urinary bladder
Function is to store and secrete a clear, slightly alkaline fluid that constitutes 10-30% of the volume of the seminal fluid that along with the spermatozoa, constitutes semen
A healthy human prostate measures (4cm-vertical, by 3cm-horizontal, 2cm ant-post ).
It surrounds the urethra just below the urinary bladder. It has anterior, median, posterior and two lateral lobes
It’s work is regulated by androgens which are responsible for male sex characteristics
Generalised disease of the prostate due to hormonal derangement which leads to non malignant enlargement of the gland (increase in the number of epithelial cells and stromal tissue)to cause compression of the urethra leading to symptoms (LUTS

Brachial Plexus Injury - Symptoms and Treatment

Brachial Plexus Injury –
Symptoms and
Treatment
2. Brachial plexus injury occurs when a network of nerves originating in the neck and
branching off from the spine to the shoulders, forearm and hand, is damaged. Typically, this
is a painful condition that affects the direct functioning, feeling and growth of the upper
arm, and negatively impacts normal function. The injury occurs when the brachial plexus
nerves are compressed, stretched or cut. The compression of brachial plexus nerves may
happen due to inflammation or a tumor pressing on the nerve. The severity of the injury
would depend on the extent of the nerve damage.
Brachial plexus injuries can be caused during contact sports such as football as well as auto
or motorcycle accidents or falls. In babies, the injury may occur when there is difficulty in
delivering the shoulder during birth.
Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of brachial plexus injury would differ depending on the type,
severity and the location of the injury. Here are symptoms that call for attention
Weakness or inability to use certain muscles in your hand, arm or shoulder
Swelling in the arms
Joint stiffness
Lack of sensation
Pain
Treatment
The plastic surgeon will first evaluate the patient to determine the type and severity of the
injury so as to know whether there is potential for spontaneous recovery. The evaluation
will involve history taking and clinical analysis, and electrodiagnositc and imaging studies to
determine the exact nature of the injury. Based on this, an appropriate treatment option
plan is developed. If it is found that the nerve injury cannot heal on its own, a suitable
surgical option will be suggested to restore the function and growth of the affected limb.
Surgical procedures for treating brachial plexus injury include
Nerve Transfer – When a nerve root has been torn apart from the spine, the
plastic surgeons often select a less important nerve attached to the spinal cord and
fix it or hook it in to the nerve that is not attached.
Nerve Graft – The damaged nerve is removed and replaced with sections of nerves
cut from other parts of body.
Muscle Transfer – A less important muscle from another area is removed and
transferred to the arm.
Physical Therapy – Physical therapy is a vital part of the treatment and
recommended to maintain muscle strength.
3. Erb’s palsy treatment is the treatment for children born with brachial plexus injuries. As
there are different unique treatment options for brachial plexus injury, make sure that you
consult a qualified and experienced plastic surgeon for proper management and treatment
of the condition.
