You need to take good care of yourself after your breast enhancement surgery.
Irrespective of the breast implants you have chosen, saline or silicone, for your breast
augmentation, the post surgery recovery process and time is more or less the same. For
the surgeon to monitor the post-op conditions of the patient, they need to stay at least for
a few hours, in the post-op recovery room.
Patients who have undergone breast augmentation surgery can return home the
very same day. However, breast augmentation combined with any other surgical process
may require an overnight stay at the hospital. After their discharge from the hospital, it is
up to the patients to carefully adhere to post-op recovery instructions, which are as
follows:
• Soreness and swelling are a common occurrence after the surgery. These can be

of water will help solve the problem.
• You should remain cautious about post-op symptoms such as redness or

Drinking alcohol and smoking should be strictly avoided until completely healed, as it
may interfere with the medications you are taking.

activities should be kept at bay at least for some time.
Lifting of heavy items weighing over 5 pounds should be avoided.
