The document proposes BRACER, a distributed broadcast protocol for multi-hop cognitive radio ad hoc networks that avoids collisions. BRACER intelligently reduces available channels and designs broadcast sequences and scheduling to provide high successful broadcast ratios with short delays. It assumes nodes know locations of 2-hop neighbors but not global topology or other nodes' channel availability. BRACER has three components: construction of broadcast sequences, distributed scheduling scheme, and collision avoidance scheme.
