Building Dynamic Applications on both Office 365 and On-PremChristian Buckley
One of the major concerns of organizations investigating or upgrading to Office 365 is whether the solutions they've come to rely on with SharePoint on prem can be duplicated online without code. From workflow and forms to branding and personalization, this webinar demonstrated techniques and solutions that can be used on SharePoint Online and on prem, enabling rich and dynamic functionality regardless of your environment.
Presented by GTconsult co-founder and COO Craig Tarr, with Office 365 MVP Christian Buckley
Key Takeaways:
--Understand some of the key differences between SharePoint online and on prem
--Learn how powerful solutions, such as project hubs, shopping carts, information roll-ups and other solutions can be built without code
--Pick up some great tips and tricks to make your end users more productive
You have adopted Microsoft SharePoint in your organization and have end users requesting tools and applications in SharePoint. Is SharePoint really the solution? Now you need the ‘SharePoint Person’! That is the person who is the solution architect, information architect, infrastructure architect, administrator, developer and support analyst all rolled into one. What technical skills will that person or team need to have to be successful in building and supporting SharePoint Solutions. You will learn the types of SharePoint requests that can be received from end users based on a decade of experience in building SharePoint solutions, and link them to the skillets that are required by your SharePoint team. You will also understand the skills required to support and maintain an effective Microsoft SharePoint environment.
Presentation given at SharePoint Saturday Toronto on July 7th, 2012. While you do lose some of the context without the narrative, hopefully you'll find some of this useful.

SharePoint Saturday Albany 2014 - The Fantastic 4 of Communication and Collab...Vlad Catrinescu
This session discusses the various ways Lync, Exchange, SharePoint and Office Web Apps can become better with regard to communication and collaboration by being joined together. We will do a non-technical overview of features such as Skill Search, Site Mailbox, Task Synchronization and more that are only made possible by them working together as well as see how they can boost productivity in a real life scenario.
This session will discuss building an effective search and information architecture strategy for SharePoint.
One of the reasons many SharePoint implementations fail to meet user expectations is the lack of investment in its underlying information architecture. Some organizations see SharePoint as an out-of-the-box solution that they can simply plug in and throw content into, but it requires as much thought and effort around data structure, organizational principles, and search configuration as any portal or intranet.
This call will discuss building an effective search and information architecture strategy for SharePoint, including such topics as:
• Building a search & IA vision
• Requirements gathering & use cases
• Implementation strategy & approaches
• The future of SharePoint search

Presented at Commsverse 2022
When looking at the collaboration culture within your organization, there are three areas where you can focus: people, process, and technology. The number one mistake that organizations make is that we typically focus most of our time and attention on technology...and the least on people. In this session, we'll tackle the various collaboration "profiles" in modern work, and how we can better leverage our technology to drive better people outcomes.

zkStudyClub - Reef: Fast Succinct Non-Interactive Zero-Knowledge Regex ProofsAlex Pruden
This paper presents Reef, a system for generating publicly verifiable succinct non-interactive zero-knowledge proofs that a committed document matches or does not match a regular expression. We describe applications such as proving the strength of passwords, the provenance of email despite redactions, the validity of oblivious DNS queries, and the existence of mutations in DNA. Reef supports the Perl Compatible Regular Expression syntax, including wildcards, alternation, ranges, capture groups, Kleene star, negations, and lookarounds. Reef introduces a new type of automata, Skipping Alternating Finite Automata (SAFA), that skips irrelevant parts of a document when producing proofs without undermining soundness, and instantiates SAFA with a lookup argument. Our experimental evaluation confirms that Reef can generate proofs for documents with 32M characters; the proofs are small and cheap to verify (under a second).

Observability Concepts EVERY Developer Should Know -- DeveloperWeek Europe.pdfPaige Cruz
Monitoring and observability aren’t traditionally found in software curriculums and many of us cobble this knowledge together from whatever vendor or ecosystem we were first introduced to and whatever is a part of your current company’s observability stack.
While the dev and ops silo continues to crumble….many organizations still relegate monitoring & observability as the purview of ops, infra and SRE teams. This is a mistake - achieving a highly observable system requires collaboration up and down the stack.
I, a former op, would like to extend an invitation to all application developers to join the observability party will share these foundational concepts to build on:

The choice of an operating system plays a pivotal role in shaping our computing experience. For decades, Microsoft's Windows has dominated the market, offering a familiar and widely adopted platform for personal and professional use. However, as technological advancements continue to push the boundaries of innovation, alternative operating systems have emerged, challenging the status quo and offering users a fresh perspective on computing.
One such alternative that has garnered significant attention and acclaim is Nitrux Linux 3.5.0, a sleek, powerful, and user-friendly Linux distribution that promises to redefine the way we interact with our devices. With its focus on performance, security, and customization, Nitrux Linux presents a compelling case for those seeking to break free from the constraints of proprietary software and embrace the freedom and flexibility of open-source computing.
Securing your Kubernetes cluster_ a step-by-step guide to success !KatiaHIMEUR1
Today, after several years of existence, an extremely active community and an ultra-dynamic ecosystem, Kubernetes has established itself as the de facto standard in container orchestration. Thanks to a wide range of managed services, it has never been so easy to set up a ready-to-use Kubernetes cluster.
However, this ease of use means that the subject of security in Kubernetes is often left for later, or even neglected. This exposes companies to significant risks.
In this talk, I'll show you step-by-step how to secure your Kubernetes cluster for greater peace of mind and reliability.
