This document describes an experiment using Boyle's law apparatus to measure atmospheric pressure. The apparatus consists of a glass tube closed at one end and connected via rubber tubing to a second glass tube. Mercury is used to alter the pressure in the system by adjusting the levels in each tube. Readings of the mercury levels and positions are taken as the pressure is varied. A graph of pressure versus inverse volume allows calculation of atmospheric pressure from the y-intercept.
