All humans have blind spots in their eyes where the optical nerve connects the retina to the brain, resulting in an area without light detecting cells that cannot see. While a small object can disappear from view in the blind spot, people do not normally notice it in everyday life because the eyes are constantly moving to take in varied views, and the brain uses information from both eyes to compensate for any blind areas in individual eyes.
