This document proposes a process to extract medicinal compounds from reishi mushrooms to produce a nutraceutical product. It involves a two-stage extraction - the first using water to extract polysaccharides and the second using ethanol to extract triterpenes. Process parameters like temperature, pressure and time are optimized based on literature. A superpro model is created to design the system. The process aims to extract over 95% of compounds sustainably and profitably for human consumption.
