This document summarizes a research project to develop a natural bio-pesticide from the Derris elliptica plant species found in Malaysia. The bio-pesticide extracts the active ingredient rotenone from D. elliptica through an environmentally friendly process. The final product is a non-toxic liquid emulsion and aerosol suitable for agricultural and household use. The goal is to provide an alternative to hazardous chemical pesticides for effective and long-term pest control, specifically against Spodoptera litura and Plutella xylostella.
