There is no avoiding it: the library landscape has been changing. We are dealing with slashed budgets and insufficient staffing while attempting to meet an increased need for innovative library programming. As librarians from small libraries, we may be reluctant to shake things up with new ideas because of the high price of failure. So how do we stay relevant in the 21st century? This presentation is a how-to guide for utilizing local resources, establishing valuable community partnerships, and decreasing costs while increasing participation in fresh, fearless, and affordable library programming.

Teachers are given tips on analyzing photographs and finding lesson plans. Future plans include sharing Wisconsin's collections more broadly through the Digital Public Library of America.

In Concert Building Valuable Community Partnerships

December Newsletter
Students from across New York City presented their civic action plans at Civics Day at the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. Students had worked all semester on community issues and coalitions. Democracy Coaches saw how much the students had learned. Chanda Daniels and Grace Reilley won the Change-Maker award for their class. Generation Citizen at Pace University also hosted a successful event on social movements that attracted over 40 visitors. The organization had a successful first semester with recognition from the university.
Reaching Teens Through Branch Partnering
This presentation details the Gallatin Pike Corridor Memorial Foundation Grant to three Nashville Public Library banches.

WPAHS Freshman Honors Program

Innovation And Education Bringing The Inner City Into The 21st Century

Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.

By significantly expanding access to eduroam* in community anchor institutions, such as K-12 schools, community colleges, and libraries, ConnectEd Nebraska has made an important impact on the state’s educational landscape. In addition, ConnectEd Nebraska is piloting innovative collaborations between school districts and local ISPs to expand access to eduroam in unique ways that go beyond traditional anchor institutions, reducing barriers to broadband access and enhancing educational opportunities. Attend this session to learn what eduroam is, where it's deployed throughout the state, and how your library can get involved.

The emotional and psychological toll on student activists is significant, but their sense of purpose and community support mitigates some of these challenges. How to Manage Reception Report in Odoo 17
A business may deal with both sales and purchases occasionally. They buy things from vendors and then sell them to their customers. Such dealings can be confusing at times. Because multiple clients may inquire about the same product at the same time, after purchasing those products, customers must be assigned to them. Odoo has a tool called Reception Report that can be used to complete this assignment. By enabling this, a reception report comes automatically after confirming a receipt, from which we can assign products to orders.

- 1. Dynamic Youth Programming: Art Against Bullying Tiffany Harkleroad, Programming Coordinator Ford City Public Library Ford City, Pennsylvania
- 2. Background of library Small service population- 3,000 25% of households have children 18 and under Library located on same block as high school In 2012, a local youth committed suicide as a result of bullying. Since then, the schools have worked at raising awareness and eliminating bullying.
- 3. Partner Organization: You Will Rise Project Started by artists Linda Regula and Paul Richmond, the You Will Rise Project provides anti- bullying education through multimedia art.
- 4. Program overview Program offered as weekend workshop Open to all local teens free of charge All materials and meals provided by library You Will Rise Project provided anti- bullying education and guidance in various art techniques Weekend culminated with an art show opening. Art hung in library all month
- 5. Results 13 youths participated throughout weekend Both group and individual projects were created and displayed Friends, family members, and public attended art show Librarians from district got to see display when library hosted district meeting
