Mr. Clifford Paul initiated several programs as manager of Bishop Heber College in Trichy, India to encourage student development. His initiatives included encouraging library and internet use, holding weekly department meetings for students to showcase abilities, introducing a uniform to build confidence and discipline, giving interactive lectures with case studies and handouts, and ensuring equitable opportunities and exposure for all students.

1. Students were encouraged to use the library
2. Students were encouraged to use the internet centre at the
college
3. Weekly Departmental meetings of all the students of all batches
on Fridays with exclusive opportunity to students to showcase their
managerial abilities
4. Introduction of an Executive uniform instilling an air of confidence
and discipline.

about a significant theme or problem. They did more than “cover
the material.”

of the lecture together and place the lecture in the wider context of
the course.
 Emphasize objectives and key points in the beginning.

enable probity and enhance acumen of the student community with
student interventions being deftly handled without any stutter or
hesitation thereby increasing the confidence of the students
manifold.
10. Handouts were given frequently in order to enable students to
fully grasp the subject.
