Tata Cummins Private Limited (TCL) is a 50:50 joint venture between Cummins Inc. USA, the world’s largest independent designer
and manufacturer of diesel engines and Tata Motors, India’s largest automobile manufacturer.
Managed technical operations to deploy Cummins engine compatibility in vehicle applications with internal and external
customers in a view to ensure timely accomplishment of production targets within the time, quality and cost parameters.
Executed customer application projects and supported VPI programs as a core team member (Engine selection
worksheet, datasheet, Installation Quality Assurance, data production approval, release of SO, sourcing coordination and
release of parts), supporting product configuration for product application; VPCR ,ER, Drawing release.
Responsible for proto vehicle projects (electrical and electronics part), using of various service tools – CALTERM and
INSITE and conducted all kind of vehicle trials.
Resolved field failure issues at customer side, conducted product field testing, maintained and developed key knowledge

1. Worked with cross functional teams to introduce new supplier’s electrical parts into Cummins system by fitment
analysis of Lucas make 6.5 kW starter motor as a replacement of 4.5kW Bosch make and 100A alternator as a
replacement of 90A alternator on ISBE 6.7 Euro3 230hp engine in a tipper prototype vehicle.
2. Did various connections to check the compatibility with the battery system and noted the technical as well as
application data with the help of test methods suggested by Cummins application engineering bulletins.
3. Conducted electrical and electronics IQA by making comparisons between products of both makes and suggesting
necessary changes.
4. Prepared Cummins standard checklist and signed it off after rectifying various problems.
Features testing and fine tuning of the parameters in the calibration of ECU of LCCR engine.
1. Managed project POORNIMA B5.9 LCCR BS-3 Engine for features testing and tuning by programming various
parameters using service tools CALTERM and INSITE in the vehicle at Tata Motors Ltd. Pune.

Starter Lockout, Battery Voltage Monitoring, Road Speed Governor, Gear Down Protection, Load Based Speed
Control And Vehicle Acceleration Management.
3. Supported machine integration bench in the laboratory with simulated engine parameters and features.
Engine cold cranking trails for starter motor in ISBE engine at LUCAS, Chennai.
1. Managed project 6.5kW, 24V starter motor on ISBE 6.7L Euro3, 245HP Engine for army vehicle at Lucas, Chennai.
2. Conducted cranking trials with the functioning of heater at temperature of -30 degree Celsius on the setup made in
cold chamber.
3. Signed off the documented project as the major representative of the respective trails.
