This document summarizes a student project about conserving the local tradition of Mulberry cultivation and sericulture in Wang Nam Khao Sub District, Thailand. 3. Statement of problem: Sub District Customs and Tradition. ( Mulberry cultivation,Culture Sericulture ) Mulberry cultivation, Culture Sericulture is one of the important traditions of Villagers Wang Nam Khao people (most of people in Wang Nam Khao immigrated from Villagers Wang Nam Khao). The purpose of this tradition is to donate daily utensils in baskets for ancestors. But now new generation in my community (Wang Nam Khao sub district) don’t know how important of this tradition is, and don’t know how to decorate Mulberry cultivation,Culture Sericulture, too. So, I do this project to conserve and convince new generation of my community (Wang Nam Khao sub district) to know the value of this tradition and conserve it for further generations.

4. Objectives: Sub District Customs and Tradition. ( Mulberry cultivation,Culture Sericulture .) 1. To study about community and community culture of Sukhothai and Bandanlanhoi in topic of Mulberry cultivation, Culture Sericulture, enables me to develop an understanding of my place within my community and conserve it. 2. To compare my experience with my friends and learner aboard, specifically in my own community, country. 3. To use English in order to exchange information and communicate effectively.

7. Geographical Features of Wung Nam Khao Sub district

8. Wang Nam Khao Sub district Wang Nam Khao Sub district is at the southern- most part of northern Thailand, It is about 498 kilometers from Bankok by bus. Taling Chan Sub district is considered to northwest – central Bandanlanhoi in the western part of Sukhothai Province, northern Thailand, based on the physical features. The area cover 334 square kilometers.

9. Wang Nam Khao Sub district is considered to northwest – central Bandanlanhoi in the western part of Sukhothai Province, northern Thailand North : Na Kun kai District of Thung Saliam District. South : Ban Dan Sub District, Bandanlanhoi District. East : Taling Chun District, Bandanlanhoi District. West : Mueang kaow Sub District, Sukhothai Province

12. Sericulture is an ancient industry in India dating back to at least second century B.C. In its long history sericulture has passed through periods of great prosperity as well as decline. Mulberry cultivation, Culture Sericulture.

13. Sericulture involves agriculture, art and industry; silkworm rearing is an art in the hands of rural people; reeling of the silk from the cocoons formed by the worms is an industry of different financial investments.

14. Scientific sericulture is the meeting place for agriculture and art, art and industry, ancient culture and civilization, the rich and the poor it reflects the interdependence of these.
