Ruedi Personality
Everyone has different qualities and interests that make them unique individuals. After
interviewing a fellow classmate of mine, Ruedi Kasabach, I have learned why he is the person
he is today. Ruedi has lived with his family in Trenton New Jersey, his entire life. He is currently
a boarder at Peddie. In his free time, Ruedi often watches tv, plays soccer, or spends quality time
with his brother. In the future, Ruedi plans to take on a career focusing on sports. Ruedi s hobbies,

Causes Of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome
Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), is the sudden unexplained death of a child less than one
year of age. SIDS usually occurs during sleep. The exact cause of SIDS is unknown. However,
there are several factors that may trigger SIDS, such as, sleeping on the stomach or side,
overheating, and exposure to tobacco smoke. Accidental suffocation such as during bed sharing
or from soft objects may also play a role. Another risk factor is being born before 39 weeks of
gestation. It is extremely difficult for any parent to lose their child. It causes a huge emotional
impact in their lives. Practicing the following points can help to avoid the risk of SIDS in babies:
Put your sleeping baby on his back. The risk of SIDS is higher if the baby sleeps

Zopiclone Is A Drug First Developed By Rhone Poulenc Rore
Zopiclone is a cyclopyrrolone drug first developed by RhГґne Poulenc Rore (1, page 220) in the
early 1970s (2). It is classified as a GABA A receptor agonist, and is a central nervous system
depressant. Zopiclone binds onto subunits on the GABA A receptor and modulates the opening of
the chloride ion channels in the neuron cell membrane (3, page 1). By increasing the conductance
of chloride ions and hyperpolarizing the neuron, the frequency of action potentials is reduced. This
causes an inhibition of brain activity, causing zopicloneto have hypnotic, sedative, muscle relaxant,
anxiolytic, and anticonvulsant effects (4).
Zopiclone acts much in the same way as benzodiazepines when used to treat insomnia, but was
believed to have less adverse effects, and less potential for developing tolerance and addiction. As
a result, it was first marketed as a better alternative to benzodiazepines. However, recent studies
have revealed that it is unclear whether zopiclone shows improvements over benzodiazepines when
assessed on therapeutic qualities and addiction potential (5, page 1). As a result, both zopiclone and
benzodiazepines are included in schedule IV of the United States Controlled Substances Act (6).
Zopiclone is known by several brand names, such as Imovane, Zimovane and Zimoclone (7). It is
used to treat insomnia in adults arising from increased sleep latency, frequent awakenings during in
the night, and premature awakening (3, page 1). Zopiclone alleviates the symptoms of

Rick Reilly s The Real New York Giants
Rick Reilly uses a lyrical tone in his essay The Real New York Giants through his images
comparing the attacks on The World Trade Center to their fireman football team. He shows this
emotional tone full of images by comparing a pile of football players to a pile of rubble. The
brothers Tommy and Danny would pull each other out of the pile of big, sweaty football players;
but this time Danny was not pulling him out from the pile of players. One last time, Danny pulled
Tommy out of the pile. Just this line is filled with many emotions, showing that the brothers always
had each others back no matter in football or the rubble. It is a very difficult scene to imagine as
Danny found his own brother in the rubble of the towers, after promising

Tutoring Should Be Allowed In Schools
The need for tutors is overwhelming. Tutors help fill the gap between the teachers and the students.
With so many students in each classroom, the teacher can t give each student the one on one
attention that some students need. This is where tutors come in to play. Tutors have been a key
instrument ineducation since as far back as the 1500 s (Gordon 9). Tutoring is almost as old as
educating children. Tutoring younger students is also still going strong in the twentieth century.
Today it is more~important than ever due to the increase in students and low budgets that some
schools have. As stated by Edward E. Gordon in his book, Centuries of Tutoring Schoolinghas
dominated the twentieth century, but tutoring still holds an important... Show more content on

When you tutor or volunteer you are doing a service for your community and for yourself.
Some of the reasons that tutoring is needed in society are outlined next. According to Dorothy
Lloyd, the trend of the 60 s included a rapidly changing population of students whose educational
needs became difficult to meet due to their mobility and lack of achievement. This change
stimulated a rise in tutor programs (46). As society became increasingly industrialized, families
moved from city to city and their children went with them. Thus making it hard for teachers and
schools to form a lasting bond between the children and the teachers.
The education systems are radically changing due to the fact that previous material and techniques
believed to be successful were no longer effective. The importance of education in modern society
led to a sense of depression about the need to provide a good education. This need is supported by
Reisner, Petry, Armigage (1990),who regarded tutoring and mentoringas highly relevant methods of
intervention that addressed national, state, and local priorities (Lloyd 50). The age of the computer
is an example of this. You can no longer do just about anything without a computer. If school
districts don t have access to computers then their students are left behind.
The classroom sizes are increasing every year and the one on one attention is being lost in the
process, Carter states in School Volunteers: What They Do How They Do

Advantages Of All Inclusive Resort
What causes this strategy for country s economy?
Cultural economic socД±al environmental problems
For travelers, the easiest and noticeable criticism of all inclusive resorts is that spending almost
whole holiday in the resort, therefore, almost no one gets much real culture connection with the
natives.
However, the all inclusive resorts do no really support the economy of the local suppliers so and if
we consider why we have tourism business, it conflicts with the terms because, tourism is meant to
support the country.
In the Antalya, some local hotel workers feel the jobs provided for the local workers by all
inclusive hotels are better than the other offers. However, this is usually far from the reality in the
majority of cases. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Putting thousands of people at the same place is not ethical for nature because everything have
capacity so exceeding natural capacity is not ethical for us. It means that all inclusive resorts incent
people to stay same places at the same time so they defraud other people to exceeding natural
capacity. Although they often host a lot of visitors than their psychical capacity, from a per capita
perspective it is not environmentally friendly to manage the impact of tourists in one place using
appropriate systems and technology than it is if visitors are scatter throughout a destination in little
pockets of temporary luxury living.
Disadvantages of All Inclusive Vacations? Feeling Trapped
Some tourists may feel like they cannot leave the resort because they have already paid for the
services, such as food beverage and entertainment. In this case, they will be missing out on trying
the authentic cuisine or to absorb the traditional culture. If the package doesn t include tours of the
local attractions, they will spend some money to hire a taxi and a tour guide.

How Did Child Labor Occur During The Industrial Revolution
The Industrial Revolution is known as a time of progression and development in European nations
and America. The new movement allowed the mass production of items with new inventions and
factories. However, the Industrial Revolution also brought many negatives to society and its
people. The need for more work and the increase in production meant that more workers were
needed, and less money was being paid to workers. As a result, child labor was prominent, and
greatly affected millions of children. Also, the factoryand workplace conditions were poor and not
suitable for any person, let alone a child. There were several possible solutions to these problems
that could have been implemented at the time.
Because there was such a need to work in order for families to survive, child labor was on the rise
during the Industrial Revolution. This corrupt situation is best described by Edward Potter, a coal
viewer and manager of a collier. He notices that because so many families were poor, parents were
begging for their eight year old children to start working. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

Eventually, the government did put in place different laws that prevented Child Labor, but it
was years later. The Factory Act of 1833 was passed to limit the number of hours a child could
work, but it was nowhere near ending the abuses that occurred in the factories. The act only
limited the amount of hours a child could work, and nine year olds were still allowed to work.
For tens of years, kids still had to work tiresome shifts for little pay. At the time, a communist
revolution as suggested by Karl Marx would have helped this problem. This is because under
Communism, every has economic equality and there are no social classes, which mean children
would no longer have to work because they would be provided on the necessities in life by the

Bcaas Research Paper
Supplements are used by people who are looking to get additional nutrients that they may not be
getting through their normal eating habits. Supplements are also used to help people lose weight,
build muscle, minimize the effects of an illness or disability, and to recover from a heavy workout.
One supplement that is popular with the bodybuilding and fitness community are branched chain
amino acids (BCAAs), and there are plenty of studies that show BCAAs are beneficial for building
muscle.
What are BCAAs?
Amino Acids are essential nutrients that are the primary building blocks of proteins found in meat,
dairy products, and legumes. Proteins make up 20 percent of the human body, and the amino acids
that make up these proteins play a critical ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This leaves a person feeling too tired, weak, and lethargic to train the way they are used to
training. Dieting and exercising with weights is generally good for people, but they may not see
the results they want do to muscle loss, protein breakdown, and limited protein synthesis as a result
of their fitness efforts.
BCAAs can help reverse this situation by reducing or slowing down the rate of proteins breaking
down and by stimulating protein synthesis. Leucine is the primary BCAA that produces these
results, and its effects may be stronger than regular protein on its own. BCAAs may also help
people to workout for longer periods of time with more intensity by inhibiting the amino acid
tryptophan from entering the brain and converting into serotonin which cause a sense of fatigue.
Who Should Take BCAA Supplements?
Adults who are healthy, perform light to moderate exercise several times a week, and have a diet
that includes meat, seafood, eggs, dairy products, and legumes do not need to take BCAA
supplements. Children, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and people dealing with chronic
alcoholism should only take BCAAs under a doctor s supervision. People who may benefit from

Civilian Court System
The question has arisen, since the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, of
how the individuals that are accused of being involved in terrorist attacks on the U.S. should be
prosecuted. There are two ways that they could be tired. They could be tried in the civilian court
system or by a military tribunal. If they are tried in a civilian court system this could prove to the
world that our system is fair and works for everyone and that the United Statesis a nation of laws
and justice. On the other hand, the civilian courts are set up for the application of constitutional
rights for the citizens of the United States. There are some issues with determining the correct path
because there are some complications in distinguishing between some of the acts, whether they are
acts of crime or acts of terror.
One of the biggest issues is that there is no legal definition of what the term terrorism consists of.
Other countries have a legal definition however, the United States does not. In contrast to other
countries, the United States has no legal definition of terrorism; thus no prisoner has ever accused
or tried on the simple offense of terrorism (Ferrell Websdale, 2009, p. 329). Also, there is not a

A researcher on the CareGroup network was experimenting with a Napster like file sharing
application that would locate and copy information across the network. His wife suddenly went into
labor which required him to go on paternity leave for three weeks. During this time, the researcher
accidently left his new untested application running. By the afternoon of Novemeber 13th 2002,

Externalities cannot be prevented and must always be assumed to exist. And yet, Halamka and his
IT group failed to keep their network up to spec as a result of mergers, reorganizations, and other
external activates. With this valuable lesson learned, Halamka and his team will not let the evolving
external factors be the brunt of failure.
#7. There are limits to customer centric responsiveness
Just because a customer desires certain functionality or a service from the network, does not
necessarily mean it s feasible or good for the entire network health. Halamka learned that he will be
selective in the future and have Cisco evaluate and test whether or not new implementations will
negatively impact the network.

The absolute freedom to choose is a gift, especially in a Russian gulag. The freedom to choose is
not always given, and most of the time it has to be found. Absolute freedom of choice means
that you have all the freedom you need to make a decision that is wanted. The choices giving to
zeks at the time were slim to none at all. In fact most prisoners that had freedom, were willing to
risk their lives to have it. One example of this is Captain Buynovsky. One day, Captain was

Profound anxiety is unlike any other feeling, it is a crippling feeling that overtakes you soul and
makes the feeling of fear and regret. It makes a hopeless feeling in your soul one that is hard to

mitten. One way of survival in the gulag is to use what you can find. When Ivan find a sharp piece
of steel on the ground, he takes it, and doesn t know where to hide it. As he gets closer to being
patted down by the guards, he decides that he should put it into his mitten. When he gets to the
front of the line, he starts to stress out thinking that the guards are going to find the blade. The
guard checked one mitten, was about to grab for the other mitten, and then got distracted and let
Ivan through the check. Another example was when one of the campers, Moldavian, got lost and
no guards could find him, which meant that all of the zeks had to stand outside, and wait until they
found him. They had to wait as long as it took, even if that meant missing dinner. This gave all of

The South African Apartheid and Music
apartheid was one of the wirced eras that faced southafrica since the 1940s till 1990s. back then,
everything was split, and it tore everything apart, families. races, and everything elce you can think
of. however, one of the things that drove the apartheid government away was music.
Music reminded people that they should unite with each other again instead of splitting apart.
Francois Malan was the person that started the apartheid group. he was elected in 1948. after he
was elected, , he started to change sirtain laws. he divided people into four groups, whites blacks.
cullered and Indians. these laws restricted the rights of some certain groups. he wanted to split the
country and give more rights to a sirtain group than the other groups. he began to set certain laws,
that divided the races that populated southafrica and that is one of the main reasons that created the
antiapartheid group. in 1950 sevral changes turned up. one of the first changes was the change to
the introduction of the population registration act. the change required citizens should state their race
, weather if they were white, black . or coloured. they stated other acts such as the area act, and
the groups act which created a huge seperation between races. every race had its own business,

indispensable step for an early end to the war with minimal human losses. Some people believed

After Japan rejected the U.S. demand for surrender, president Truman said in his announcement

International Perceptions Of Management As An American...
International Perceptions of Management Hofstede once said, Management as the word is
presently used is an American invention. In other parts of the world not only the practices but the
entire concept of management may differ (Hofstede, 1993, p. 81). Adding this difference in the
perception of management to the already existing cultural difference creates another layer of
complexity as well as an additional potential for cross cultural friction. While these differences
affect things like chain of command, they also impart differences in what is considered acceptable
workplace behavior as illustrated by Todd s experience in Italy. The Italian experience also

India Todd also has experience working with teams from India. People from India have a different
work ethic than do the people from the US they just work harder. They do not generally show up to
work until mid morning, often 9 am or 10 am, but usually work until 7 pm and often later. Adjusting
to their ethic and hours was not difficult, adjusting to their work by task mentality was (Ricketts,
2015).
He goes on further mentioning the task mentality of people from India. When working, they are
driven by completing tasks, not being inquisitive. He gives an example of filing a report with
numbers if the numbers don t seem to make sense a U.S. employee would look into, be curious
and want to fix the problem at hand. On the other side, an Indian employee would just finish the
report and not try to problem solve.
When delving further into his experiences and observations of his Indian co workers, he states that
people from India usually have a very submissive personality so much so that although they may
not understand a task, they will not ask enough questions to further the outcome (Ricketts, 2015).
This could be due to the appreciation for hierarchy in India. According to Hofstede s National
Culture Dimension scores, India scores high on power distance. Power Distance is defined as the
extent to which the less powerful members of institutions and organizations within a country expect
and accept that power is distributed unequally (What about India). Employees

these class ranks very seriously, and want nothing more by the end of their high school career
then to be high up in their class rank. Schools use this rank to reward students in their schools. In
Green, for example, we honor these Top 25 students with a reward, and a nice dinner banquet. Yet
with these expectations to get into that Top 25 of your class, or trying to get the Valedictorian or
Salutatorian award, comes with a tremendous amount of stress, competition between you and your
peers, manipulation of your schedule, and pressure that gets thrown on you by yourself and your
family. Striving to become part of that elite group of students in Top 25 leads to a ton of stress and
more pressure than most high schoolstudents can handle. Students stress themselves out over every
homework due, and all the tests they needto study for. They do this for all five or six classes they
are taking. Yes, all the homework that you do and the tests you take are all important, but when it
comes to a 5 point homework that is taking hours to do, or else your grademight slip and your spot
in the coveted Top 25 might disappear, then school starts to become too stressful.... Show more

You feel pressure to get everything done, and have it done to perfection. If you miss a
homework assignment your parents get on you, might discipline you, to make sure it doesn t
happen again. Then, you feel pressure to do even better in school. I admit I feel pressure to do
well in school, but not like some people. Some people feel like if their grade is anything less than
an A then they have failed that class. Sometimes that s just them; sometimes that s because of their
parents. The pressure put on students to get that good grade is overwhelming, and the pressures
and expectations to be in the Top 25 are unreal and even

Characteristics Of Cultural Awareness In Africa
Cultural Awareness is a fundamental part of the NCO community and even the Commissioned
Officers community. The level of awareness is vital to one s survival if presented with the
situation of going into an area of the unknown. The country in which is going to be discussed is
a vast area with many different cultural anomalies. This country is Algeria. Culture and what it
stands for is of many meanings. The one that will be discussed is what most will find in any
location that they search. The definition is in short, the manifestations of human intellectual
achievements. There are also characteristics involved in culture as well. These can be defined as
the following: Learned Behavior: which is developed over time, some examples can be standing
in line, chewing gum, going to a concert, and even combing one s hair. Super organic: this
implies that culture is superior to nature . This word is useful when it implies that what may be
quite a different phenome from a cultural point of view. Pervasive: it touches every aspect of life.
Idealistic: it embodies the ideas and norms of a group. Variable: it varies from society to society,
group to group. These are just some of the many characteristics of culture. The cultural
characteristics of Algeria are language, demographics, government, economy, and military. The
first thing that is going to be looked at is the country s language. Algeria s language is filled with a
wide variety. Languages like Arabic which is

the employees of the company, over the past 75 years. Customer service is the act of taking care
of the customers needs by providing and delivering professional, helpful, high quality service and
assistance, before, during and after the customers requirements are met (Study, 2016). The main
job skills and responsibilities undertaken within a customer service team are handling vast
amounts of calls and being able to manage them in an appropriate manner, determining the needs
of the customer and being able to build rapport with all customers. Customer service advisors must
be able to provide the relevant information to customers, however, when customer service advisors
have to deal with complaints, they must be able to provide methods which customers must be able
to use to resolve the problem and most importantly, in the most effective and appropriate way

What Were The Main Ideas Of Islam
What were the main ideas of Islam?
The people of Islam had a city called Mecca, where pilgrimage took place. It consisted of temples
with Arab God and a large stone called the Kaabah. Muhammad was born in 570 in Mecca, and
raised by his uncle after the death of both his parents. He was a very pious man, and he prayed in
caves. At the age of 40, a message was sent to Muhammad through Gabriel from Allah, who was
also the God of Jews and Christians. The messages sent from Allah to Mohammad through out his
life were later collected into the holy book of Islam called the Qur an. Muhammad created the
religion Islam, and his people were called Muslims, which means the one who submits . They had
five religious beliefs called The Five Pillars . The first one is that there is no God but ... Show more

almsgiving; about 2 percent of everyone s wealth should be given as charity every year. The
fourth pillar was called the holy month of Ramadan, which appears in different season depending
on the lunar calendar. During Ramadan, Muslims would fast from sunrise to sunset. The purpose
of Ramadan is for Muslims to go hungry for one month so they can have sympathy for poor
people and thus is more generous to those who are less fortunate. The fifth and last Pillars of Islam

Dbq Missouri Compromise
At first, the Compromise seemed to settle the issue; however, the alarming issue arose again
when Mexico ceded new territory to the Union. Differences between the views of the North and
South led to a deeper divide that eventually led to the Civil War. The Missouri controversy, an
extremely heated crisis between the North and South over slavery in the Louisiana territory,
reached to new heights almost as great as the time of secession in 1860. This huge debate showed
just how slavery divided the nation (Forbes). Many people knew the consequences of banning
slavery, so they kept the Missouri Compromise in place. Politicians dealt with the troubling issue
carefully because it potentially could separate the Union, and everyone knew the South would...

Tensions about what congress would do about slavery in the new territories increased rapidly.
Lincoln, during his presidency, explains the difference between anti and pro slavery people. He
explains that the selfish nature of man allows him to go towards slavery, but man s nature to be
just and right allows him to oppose slavery (Lincoln). Wilmot tried to pass a law called the
Wilmot proviso, a law forbidding slavery in the new territories ceded by Mexico. A wild debate
over this law ensued between the North and South (Remini). One congressman said that the
House sounded like a bomb went off because of all of the excitement in the room at the same
time (Remini). Aggravated politicians got him out of the House of Representatives for his radical
law. Problems increased when California and New Mexico wanted to enter the union, but
California chose to enter the Union alone due to its increased population. Henry Clay decided to
step in and work his magic. Then he created the Compromise of 1850, which allowed the state to
choose whether they will enter as a slave or free state, an idea known as popular sovereignty
(Remini). California entered as a free state, but the other territories from the Mexican cession
were allowed to choose. This new Compromise worked for the Mexican cession territory, but the
Louisiana territory still remained under the control of the Missouri Compromise. After the repeal
of the Missouri Compromise, violence between the North and the South ensued. In 1854,
Congress passed the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854, which repealed the Missouri Compromise
(McGill). This Act established popular sovereignty for all of the territories that want to achieve
statehood. Nebraska would enter as a free state. Kansas still wavered back and forth, on whether it
should enter as a slave or free state. Settlers from both the North and South came to live in Kansas.

The common perception is that finance is associated with wealth management enlarging portfolios,

society is considered to be the one in which people respect and appreciate each other. From that
point of view it seems that finance and good society are like an oxymoron, finance goals are

Illustrate these decisions with examples.
Among the most important decisions that a company takes are the following ones: dividend
distribution, investment decisions and financing decisions.
2.1. At the end of each year when financial statements are verified by the auditors, the company
management is facing the dilemma: what to do with the profit? The dilemma is related with the
question whether to please shareholders by giving them large dividends or to keep the money in the
company for investment purposes. This decision however does lie exclusively in the hands of the
company management. If they decide large dividends, then the funds needed for investments and
growth will be reduced significantly. This may jeopardize the company s competitive position
without investments, the company s future is always at stake.
2.2. If the company s shareholders decide to vote small dividends then the management will have
more funds for investments. As a rule companies approve those projects that have a positive net
present value and the rate of return is higher than the hurdle rate.
2.3. If company profit is not sufficient to cover the investment plans, then the company has to start
looking for external financing in order to fulfil its investment program. Financing however may be
costly if company results are not good enough to motivate any bank to give a loan. If banks refuse
a loan, then the company should try to raise funds on the stock

Marfan Syndrome Characteristics
Marfan syndrome is a genetic condition that affects the human body s connective tissues, or the
muscular system (Braverman 2017). The symptoms of this syndrome can vary from being
moderate to life threatening. Some symptoms of Marfan Syndrome are having abnormally long
fingers, legs, and arms, that are disproportionate with a person s height (Adamec 2005). Having
joints that move past the limit of a regular person is another symptom. Someone with Marfan
Syndrome may also have scoliosis, which is the rounding or arch of the spine. Another trait of
Marfan syndrome is pectus excavatum or sunken chest and pectus carinatum, which is the
protrusion of the chest (Adamec 2005). The life threatening symptoms of this genetic disorder
involve the heart. A person with Marfan syndrome can have leakage of the heart valves or
weakness in the aorta. These symptoms can result in heart disease or aneurysm, which can make
death early (Turkington 2004). Since Marfan syndrome is a genetic disorder, people who have this
condition are born with it. One parent has to have this disease in order for their... Show more

someone with this genetic condition (Turkington 2004). In order to prevent life threatening
symptoms, refraining from physical activity should be considered because it will prevent any stress
being put on the aorta. An annual test called, Echocardiogram, should be scheduled because it can
monitor the function and size of the aorta and heart (Turkington 2004). Another treatment involving
the cardiovascular system is the removal and replacement of the aortic root. This procedure
decreases the chances of getting heart disease if you are afflicted with the disorder (Adamec
2005). If problems with the eyes is a symptom developed with Marfan syndrome, eye exams with

Benecol was launched in 1955 by the company Raisio in Finland ( Benecol, 2010). Benecol has
become a successful additive to multiple product lines due to its unique ingredient of plant stanol
ester. The ingredient has been proven to reduce cholesterol levels and can easily be added to any
food (Grant, 2010). Raisio, up until 1997, produced much of the plant stanol it needed and was self
sufficient in its exploitation of stanol ester technology (Grant, 2010). Raisio then made the decision

Their success was based on its innovation to create technology to extract and produce the main
ingredient in Benecol. By using a differentiation advantage which singled them out in a very
specific market (foods that lower cholesterol) they were able to put plans in place to guarantee
the success of the product. By merging with J J, they create a large market for their product with
multiple distribution capabilities. Because differentiation is only affected when consumers are
made aware, Benecol was marketed widely to lower cholesterol and most people know it now as
a health food (Grant, 2010). The process of innovation and competition is also very important in
the position that Benecol is in its life cycle. The product began with short production runs, with
limited specialized distribution channels in 1996. It then emerged into the growth stage of its life
cycle when it partnered with J J to create multiple product lines, mass production, and competition
for distribution. Benecol seems to be in its Maturity stage at the present time, allowing for long
production runs, and distributors carrying fewer lines, due to economy and less demand for high
end food products (Grant, 2010). Because there are only a handful of companies that can create
products with plant stanol ester, Benecol is a leader in its innovation for the technology. Benecol is
also very well diversified, and it continues to create products that

Australian Car Manufacturing Industry Comes to an End
Introduction
It is believed that the Australian car manufacturing industry has come to an end. The following
essay will argue that the government should not provide finances to save the automotive
manufacturing industry. There is a continuous debate between the shareholders of the automotive
businesses and the Australian citizens on what should be done with this issue. In order to
determine the strength of the argument, the following essay will completely analyze relevant
information; examine the affects of moving production to overseas, why production is being
moved? Take a look at who is to blame and what the media says should be done?
The car manufacturing industry is a large enterprise and supplies employment for more than 45,000
people and indirectly employs nearly 200,000 (Cassin, 2013). However it is believed that the
Australian government should not provide funds to the car manufactures, Australia cannot compete
with the larger automotive manufacturing countries. The statistics of 2013 show that, 1.13 million
cars were sold, out of that figure just over 100,000 were purchased locally made. This tells us that
less than 10% of Australian s actually bought an Australian manufactured car (Smith, 2014). If we
aren t going to buy them who will?
Affects of moving production?
It is assumed that the Australian car production industry employs more than 200,000 jobs indirectly
(Cassin, 2013). Therefore moving production overseas will cut a massive hole in the employment

Kidneys Filter Our Blood
Kidneys work rapidly throughout the day filtering out the toxic wastes that go through the body.
The kidneys filter about 180 liters of blood per day. That is three liters getting filtered 60 times per
day. But my question is does having diabetes and hypertension affect the filtration rate in the
kidneys?
In the body the kidneys perform the task of filtering out the toxic wastes from the bloodstream and
then returning the clean blood back into the body for reabsorption. According to the University of
Michigan The kidneys perform the essential function of removing waste products from the blood
and regulating the water fluid levels. The kidneys will collect toxic blood from the renal artery, and
from there the blood enters through a passageway of nephrons where the toxins are cycled out
through a series of structures.
The blood will first enter into the Bowman s Capsule. The Bowman s Capsule is an expansion of
a closed end to a renal tubule found in the cortex. Kent M. Van De Graff studies showed that In
the Bowman s Capsule the blood gets filtered through however; it only lets smaller particles
through. Particles as big as red blood cells or that have a molecular mass greater than 69,000 can
not travel through the Bowmans Capsule and get reabsorbed into the bloodstream. From there the
toxins and blood travel into the proximal tubule. In the proximal convoluted tubule that we reabsorb
most of the materials that we need to reabsorb from the filtrate. The reabsorption of

Environmental Impacts Of The Sustainability Goals
In order for the sustainability goals to be successful and meaningful, the targets must be
measurable. By nature, some of the targets are more measurable than others. It is easy to measure
those that are quantitative as the goals are very precise. Target 14.1, to reduce marine pollution of
all kinds can be measured by surveying micro plastic concentrations in seawater and marine life
(Global Ocean Commission 2). Similarly, the goal of minimizing acidification can be measured by
collecting pH samples (Leadership Council of the Sustainable DevelopmentSolutions Network
172) and the conservation of coastal and marine areas can be measured by collecting data on
marine protected areas (GOC 5). It is more difficult to measure targets that are more broad and
subjective. The success or failures of these targets are measured by monitoring programs,
administering policies, law enforcement and assessing the environmental impacts (4). For example,
targets 14.7 and 14.9, which look at the economical benefits and subsidies are measured by
monitoring data and policies used in various countries. Likewise, target 14.12, to ensure full
implementation of international law, is measured by looking at the number of flag states and
countries who have ratified laws (6). Some targets feature both precise and subjective indicators.
For instance, targets 14.4 and 14.6 which deal with the regulation of dangerous fishing practices
can be measured by looking at the reported data of fish tonnage within

The Role Of Standardisation Of Human Rights
In this essay, the writer will illuminate the role of standardisation in facilitating human rights, with
particular focus on women s rights. For a kick up, clear definitions of the key terms, standardisation
and human rights will be given. The connection between the two will be further exploited in depth
as the write up progresses. According to Wikipedia.org, human rightsare commonly understood as
inalienable fundamental rights to which a person is inherently entitled simply because she or he is
a human being... It follows therefore, that women s rights relate to the freedom and right that
women are entitled to simply by virtue of being a... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Statistics from The Africa Renewal Magazine (2012) revealed that women contribute 70% of
Agricultural output on the continent, with particular reference to Malawi, but they do not have as
much ownership on the land. This is because land ownership rights in Africa are largely effected
by customary law which is rather preventive of the ownership of land by women. It follows that
when these women s husbands pass on, that land is taken by the deceased s relatives according to
customary law and that is a direct antagonism to development as that woman s output is lost,
together with any hope for her financial independence. In addressing the previously mentioned
problems, standardisation plays a role in human rights of spelling out the exact requirements that
have to be effected for the implementation process. For example, in Niger, the recent changes in the
national assembly structure saw a rise in the participation of women as 15% of the seats are now
held by women, according to quotaproject.org. The rights of women indicate the participation of

The Negative Effects Of Globalization
After reading the history of this person, I experienced different feelings in the first pride that in
this world there are still such people, secondly the sadness that I as a person still failed to do
something extraordinary for this world. From what I have read, I have noticed, to a large extent,
the positive aspects of globalization. Even Samir himself speaks about this that they greatly
influenced him Globalization has had a very strong effect on me. It has allowed me to live with my
friends and extended families that live in very different cultures and settings.
He also talks about the moments that globalization gave him, Globalization has also allowed me to
be exposed to several languages. I am fluent in English, Spanish, and ... Show more content on

Although I am now living in another country, the only thing that could affectme is the moment with
fast food and coffee, about which we could read, but nevertheless the knowledge of the language at
a different level and communication with people helped me to uncover a number of factors, How
much the world is different. In the sense that globalization can influence us in terms of thinking,
because we thought at home differently than when we are in another country, and we have to think
and act differently.
We could read above how the globalization of the pop industry influences the world, the young
generation s world that movies and TV shows dictate to the world how we live and dress. The
world of music I want to talk about it and about how music affects globalization. After all, every
nation and people has and has the roots of musical style and sound (its folk music) but the
tendencies of the new world are changing everything and the US is one of the biggest industries
that influence it. We remember how the first emo, Goths and other fans of these themes appeared.
And the fact that music affects us on our feelings, because under every mood we listen to different
music. When sad we listen to the sad and etc. Everyone has his own idol which we end up trying
to please. As a result, the younger generation forgets the style and sound that was inherent in its
people. I also want to touch on the theme of books that foreign books have become

A Narrative Essay On A Hero s Journey
DIA! His father s screams replayed over in his head as he woke, being pulled out of his slumber
by the sound of doors crashing open. Captain Poison screamed at him Your mothers and fathers are
dead! Your brothers and sisters are dead! As Dia and the other boys were rushed through the camp,
the thoughts of his familycame flooding back to him. The way his mother used to softly sing him
to sleep when he was younger or how his father would joke around with him on the way to school.
His family wasn t wealthy but it was enough for him. Dia was happy with his family. He realised
that he may never experience this happiness again.
Without realising it Dia fell to his knees at the sight of the dead bodies everywhere, the gunshots
echoing in the background. So consumed in the terror of it all he didn t even feel the sharp pain
of his knees hitting the ground. He was too scared of what his future held to even move.
Suddenly he felt himself shaking with fear as a cold hand yanked him off the ground and pressed
an AK47 into his arms and pushed him in the direction of a line up of people. Dia could sense the
terror in the eyes of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Facing the RUF soldier that stood opposite them seemed to strike fear into the boys but Dia was
determined to be strong. Avoiding eye contact with the RUF soldier, Dia tore the room apart
with his eyes searching for an exit. Amongst the darkened, dreary interior a glimpse of outside
light caught his eye from the corner of the room. He glanced towards the soldier and back
towards the hole in the wall wondering if he had a chance to get away. Without a second thought
he made a mad dash for it, sprinting as fast as he could to the wall several feet away and crawling
through the hole barely big enough for him to fit through. Ignoring the yelling coming from behind
him, a smile crossed his face as he ran in no particular direction. Despite the RUF soldiers trailing
him he felt

Essay on The evolution of Meteor
Meteor in the Irish telecommunications industry
Meteor Mobile was established in 2001, after having been awarded Ireland s third mobile license
in the year 1998 (ComReg, 1998). Since then, the Irish start up has acquired over a million
customers and built over 40 stores nationally (meteor.ie,2013). Over the course of 12 years,
Meteor has become one of the 50 best workplaces in Ireland and obtained 20% of the market share
(meteor.ie, 2013) in a very tough and fast developing industry.
In this essay I will assess the attractiveness of the Irish telecommunications industry before and
after its deregulation in 1998 by analyzing the forces at work within the market. I will also describe
Meteor s strategy at the time and attempt to point ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Furthermore, there was no threat of forward integration by the suppliers. As the customer base was
so small suppliers depended on the wellbeing of the industry to succeed. All of these factors made
supplier power very low making the industry very attractive for firms.
It is also important to address the threat of substitute products available to the market. These are
products which meet the same needs as those sold by the industry. Porter argues that substitute
products will limit the potential of an industry (Porter, 1979) by diminishing its growth. Back in
1998, there were not many substitute products apart from landline services. The lack of very
similar substitutes in the industry contributed to its attractiveness.
In an industry composed of various players, there is guaranteed competitive rivalry. Competitive
rivalry tends to be higher if there are many current and potential competitors (Porter 1979). In the
case of the mobile industry in 1998, there were only two players, which meant that competition was
very little. Furthermore, the market was very small, another factor limiting competition. Consumer
loyalty and retention were high as people were tied into contracts. This also reduced the
competition within the market. Low competitor rivalry is another attractive factor, as the firms
didn t feel threatened by others also in the industry. In conclusion, from the analysis it is clear that

Field Artillery is about building and sustaining relationships. Relationships will thrive or die based
upon the liaison we provide to our maneuver brethren. Regardless of origin, habitual or ad hoc, we

Homelessness Is A Problem Of Homelessness
Homelessness is a monster. Each day, there are people on the streets suffering from homelessness.
These unsheltered people litter the streets, and plead for help. There are different types of
homelessness, but the most monstrous is chronic. The chronically homeless are left to endure the
hardships of homelessnesswithout hope of an effective solution. Americans disregard all homeless
populations, but the most heart wrenching group that is disregarded is the veterans. The veteran
homelessness problem is the most ominous type of chronic homelessness, but a solution is
possible. Veteran homelessness is a chronic problem in America today, and it is due to the mental
state of veterans and government s failed responses to ending the problem.... Show more content on

Generally, these are veterans that fought in the Vietnam War, but with more recent wars there is a
new face to veteran homelessness. A shift in demographics is occurring as troops return from
operations in Iraq and Afghanistan... homeless veterans are increasingly younger, female, and
heads of households (Veteran Homelessness). Veteran homelessness chronically affects such a
broad group of people that a solution is imminent. It is no longer the time to allow America s
service men to wander the streets unsheltered. It is time to step up and finally put a stop to veteran
homelessness. There are intricate causes that compound and makes a person considered chronically
homeless. There are homeless veterans that are stuck to live on the streets for reasons that affect
non veterans as well. These include lack of a supportable income, healthcare, and affordable
housing. More specifically, there are complex factors that causes retired service men to be left on
the streets. These causes are directly related to veteran homelessness. The most influential factor
that leaves veterans on the streets is the effects of mental illness and more specifically the effects
that post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) plays on the veteran; more than half of homeless
veterans suffer from a serious mental illness (National Coalition for Homeless Veterans). PTSD is
a brain disorder that occurs after someone

The exact cause of SIDS is unknown. However, there are several factors that may trigger SIDS, such as, sleeping on the stomach or side, overheating, and exposure to tobacco smoke. Accidental suffocation such as during bed sharing or from soft objects may also play a role. Another risk factor is being born before 39 weeks of gestation. • 4. Zopiclone Is A Drug First Developed By Rhone Poulenc Rore Zopiclone is a cyclopyrrolone drug first developed by RhГґne Poulenc Rore (1, page 220) in the early 1970s (2). It is classified as a GABA A receptor agonist, and is a central nervous system depressant. Zopiclone binds onto subunits on the GABA A receptor and modulates the opening of the chloride ion channels in the neuron cell membrane (3, page 1). By increasing the conductance of chloride ions and hyperpolarizing the neuron, the frequency of action potentials is reduced. This causes an inhibition of brain activity, causing zopicloneto have hypnotic, sedative, muscle relaxant, anxiolytic, and anticonvulsant effects (4). Zopiclone acts much in the same way as benzodiazepines when used to treat insomnia, but was believed to have less adverse effects, and less potential for developing tolerance and addiction. As a result, it was first marketed as a better alternative to benzodiazepines. However, recent studies have revealed that it is unclear whether zopiclone shows improvements over benzodiazepines when assessed on therapeutic qualities and addiction potential (5, page 1). As a result, both zopiclone and benzodiazepines are included in schedule IV of the United States Controlled Substances Act (6). Zopiclone is known by several brand names, such as Imovane, Zimovane and Zimoclone (7). It is used to treat insomnia in adults arising from increased sleep latency, frequent awakenings during in the night, and premature awakening (3, page 1). Zopiclone alleviates the symptoms of ... The brothers Tommy and Danny would pull each other out of the pile of big, sweaty football players; but this time Danny was not pulling him out from the pile of players. One last time, Danny pulled Tommy out of the pile. Just this line is filled with many emotions, showing that the brothers always had each others back no matter in football or the rubble. • 6. Tutoring Should Be Allowed In Schools The need for tutors is overwhelming. Tutors help fill the gap between the teachers and the students. With so many students in each classroom, the teacher can t give each student the one on one attention that some students need. This is where tutors come in to play. Tutors have been a key instrument ineducation since as far back as the 1500 s (Gordon 9). Tutoring is almost as old as educating children. Tutoring younger students is also still going strong in the twentieth century. Today it is more~important than ever due to the increase in students and low budgets that some schools have. As stated by Edward E. Gordon in his book, Centuries of Tutoring Schoolinghas dominated the twentieth century, but tutoring still holds an important... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When you tutor or volunteer you are doing a service for your community and for yourself. Some of the reasons that tutoring is needed in society are outlined next. According to Dorothy Lloyd, the trend of the 60 s included a rapidly changing population of students whose educational needs became difficult to meet due to their mobility and lack of achievement. This change stimulated a rise in tutor programs (46). As society became increasingly industrialized, families moved from city to city and their children went with them. Thus making it hard for teachers and schools to form a lasting bond between the children and the teachers. The education systems are radically changing due to the fact that previous material and techniques believed to be successful were no longer effective. The importance of education in modern society led to a sense of depression about the need to provide a good education. This need is supported by Reisner, Petry, Armigage (1990),who regarded tutoring and mentoringas highly relevant methods of intervention that addressed national, state, and local priorities (Lloyd 50). The age of the computer is an example of this. You can no longer do just about anything without a computer. If school districts don t have access to computers then their students are left behind. The classroom sizes are increasing every year and the one on one attention is being lost in the process, Carter states in School Volunteers: What They Do How They Do ... However, the all inclusive resorts do no really support the economy of the local suppliers so and if we consider why we have tourism business, it conflicts with the terms because, tourism is meant to support the country. • 9. How Did Child Labor Occur During The Industrial Revolution The Industrial Revolution is known as a time of progression and development in European nations and America. The new movement allowed the mass production of items with new inventions and factories. However, the Industrial Revolution also brought many negatives to society and its people. The need for more work and the increase in production meant that more workers were needed, and less money was being paid to workers. As a result, child labor was prominent, and greatly affected millions of children. Also, the factoryand workplace conditions were poor and not suitable for any person, let alone a child. There were several possible solutions to these problems that could have been implemented at the time. Because there was such a need to work in order for families to survive, child labor was on the rise during the Industrial Revolution. This corrupt situation is best described by Edward Potter, a coal viewer and manager of a collier. He notices that because so many families were poor, parents were begging for their eight year old children to start working. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Eventually, the government did put in place different laws that prevented Child Labor, but it was years later. The Factory Act of 1833 was passed to limit the number of hours a child could work, but it was nowhere near ending the abuses that occurred in the factories. The act only limited the amount of hours a child could work, and nine year olds were still allowed to work. For tens of years, kids still had to work tiresome shifts for little pay. At the time, a communist revolution as suggested by Karl Marx would have helped this problem. This is because under Communism, every has economic equality and there are no social classes, which mean children would no longer have to work because they would be provided on the necessities in life by the ... Civilian Court System The question has arisen, since the attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, of how the individuals that are accused of being involved in terrorist attacks on the U.S. should be prosecuted. There are two ways that they could be tired. They could be tried in the civilian court system or by a military tribunal. If they are tried in a civilian court system this could prove to the world that our system is fair and works for everyone and that the United Statesis a nation of laws and justice. On the other hand, the civilian courts are set up for the application of constitutional rights for the citizens of the United States. There are some issues with determining the correct path because there are some complications in distinguishing between some of the acts, whether they are acts of crime or acts of terror. One of the biggest issues is that there is no legal definition of what the term terrorism consists of. Other countries have a legal definition however, the United States does not. In contrast to other countries, the United States has no legal definition of terrorism; thus no prisoner has ever accused or tried on the simple offense of terrorism (Ferrell Websdale, 2009, p. 329). In other parts of the world not only the practices but the entire concept of management may differ (Hofstede, 1993, p. 81). Adding this difference in the perception of management to the already existing cultural difference creates another layer of complexity as well as an additional potential for cross cultural friction. Adjusting to their ethic and hours was not difficult, adjusting to their work by task mentality was (Ricketts, 2015). He goes on further mentioning the task mentality of people from India. When working, they are driven by completing tasks, not being inquisitive. He gives an example of filing a report with numbers if the numbers don t seem to make sense a U.S. employee would look into, be curious and want to fix the problem at hand. On the other side, an Indian employee would just finish the report and not try to problem solve. When delving further into his experiences and observations of his Indian co workers, he states that people from India usually have a very submissive personality so much so that although they may not understand a task, they will not ask enough questions to further the outcome (Ricketts, 2015). This could be due to the appreciation for hierarchy in India. According to Hofstede s National Culture Dimension scores, India scores high on power distance. He explains that the selfish nature of man allows him to go towards slavery, but man s nature to be just and right allows him to oppose slavery (Lincoln). Wilmot tried to pass a law called the Wilmot proviso, a law forbidding slavery in the new territories ceded by Mexico. A wild debate over this law ensued between the North and South (Remini). One congressman said that the House sounded like a bomb went off because of all of the excitement in the room at the same time (Remini). Aggravated politicians got him out of the House of Representatives for his radical law. Problems increased when California and New Mexico wanted to enter the union, but California chose to enter the Union alone due to its increased population. Henry Clay decided to step in and work his magic. Then he created the Compromise of 1850, which allowed the state to choose whether they will enter as a slave or free state, an idea known as popular sovereignty (Remini). California entered as a free state, but the other territories from the Mexican cession were allowed to choose. This new Compromise worked for the Mexican cession territory, but the Louisiana territory still remained under the control of the Missouri Compromise. After the repeal of the Missouri Compromise, violence between the North and the South ensued. In 1854, Congress passed the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854, which repealed the Missouri Compromise (McGill). This Act established popular sovereignty for all of the territories that want to achieve statehood. Nebraska would enter as a free state. The common perception is that finance is associated with wealth management enlarging portfolios, managing portfolio risks and tax liabilities, ensuring that rich grow richer. On the other hand, good society is considered to be the one in which people respect and appreciate each other. From that point of view it seems that finance and good society are like an oxymoron, finance goals are contradicting with those of society. Among the most important decisions that a company takes are the following ones: dividend distribution, investment decisions and financing decisions. 2.1. At the end of each year when financial statements are verified by the auditors, the company management is facing the dilemma: what to do with the profit? The dilemma is related with the question whether to please shareholders by giving them large dividends or to keep the money in the company for investment purposes. This decision however does lie exclusively in the hands of the company management. If they decide large dividends, then the funds needed for investments and growth will be reduced significantly. This may jeopardize the company s competitive position without investments, the company s future is always at stake. 2.2. If the company s shareholders decide to vote small dividends then the management will have more funds for investments. As a rule companies approve those projects that have a positive net present value and the rate of return is higher than the hurdle rate. 2.3. If company profit is not sufficient to cover the investment plans, then the company has to start looking for external financing in order to fulfil its investment program. Financing however may be costly if company results are not good enough to motivate any bank to give a loan. If banks refuse a loan, then the company should try to raise funds on the stock ... The symptoms of this syndrome can vary from being moderate to life threatening. Some symptoms of Marfan Syndrome are having abnormally long fingers, legs, and arms, that are disproportionate with a person s height (Adamec 2005). Having joints that move past the limit of a regular person is another symptom. Someone with Marfan Syndrome may also have scoliosis, which is the rounding or arch of the spine. Another trait of Marfan syndrome is pectus excavatum or sunken chest and pectus carinatum, which is the protrusion of the chest (Adamec 2005). The life threatening symptoms of this genetic disorder involve the heart. A person with Marfan syndrome can have leakage of the heart valves or weakness in the aorta. Benecol has become a successful additive to multiple product lines due to its unique ingredient of plant stanol ester. The ingredient has been proven to reduce cholesterol levels and can easily be added to any food (Grant, 2010). Raisio, up until 1997, produced much of the plant stanol it needed and was self sufficient in its exploitation of stanol ester technology (Grant, 2010). By using a differentiation advantage which singled them out in a very specific market (foods that lower cholesterol) they were able to put plans in place to guarantee the success of the product. By merging with J J, they create a large market for their product with multiple distribution capabilities. Because differentiation is only affected when consumers are made aware, Benecol was marketed widely to lower cholesterol and most people know it now as a health food (Grant, 2010). The process of innovation and competition is also very important in the position that Benecol is in its life cycle. The product began with short production runs, with limited specialized distribution channels in 1996. It then emerged into the growth stage of its life cycle when it partnered with J J to create multiple product lines, mass production, and competition for distribution. Benecol seems to be in its Maturity stage at the present time, allowing for long production runs, and distributors carrying fewer lines, due to economy and less demand for high end food products (Grant, 2010). The following essay will argue that the government should not provide finances to save the automotive manufacturing industry. There is a continuous debate between the shareholders of the automotive businesses and the Australian citizens on what should be done with this issue. In order to determine the strength of the argument, the following essay will completely analyze relevant information; examine the affects of moving production to overseas, why production is being moved? Take a look at who is to blame and what the media says should be done? The car manufacturing industry is a large enterprise and supplies employment for more than 45,000 people and indirectly employs nearly 200,000 (Cassin, 2013). However it is believed that the Australian government should not provide funds to the car manufactures, Australia cannot compete with the larger automotive manufacturing countries. The statistics of 2013 show that, 1.13 million cars were sold, out of that figure just over 100,000 were purchased locally made. This tells us that less than 10% of Australian s actually bought an Australian manufactured car (Smith, 2014). If we aren t going to buy them who will? Affects of moving production? That is three liters getting filtered 60 times per day. But my question is does having diabetes and hypertension affect the filtration rate in the kidneys? In the body the kidneys perform the task of filtering out the toxic wastes from the bloodstream and then returning the clean blood back into the body for reabsorption. According to the University of Michigan The kidneys perform the essential function of removing waste products from the blood and regulating the water fluid levels. The kidneys will collect toxic blood from the renal artery, and from there the blood enters through a passageway of nephrons where the toxins are cycled out through a series of structures. The blood will first enter into the Bowman s Capsule. The Bowman s Capsule is an expansion of a closed end to a renal tubule found in the cortex. Kent M. Van De Graff studies showed that In the Bowman s Capsule the blood gets filtered through however; it only lets smaller particles through. Particles as big as red blood cells or that have a molecular mass greater than 69,000 can not travel through the Bowmans Capsule and get reabsorbed into the bloodstream. From there the toxins and blood travel into the proximal tubule. In the proximal convoluted tubule that we reabsorb most of the materials that we need to reabsorb from the filtrate. • 40. Environmental Impacts Of The Sustainability Goals In order for the sustainability goals to be successful and meaningful, the targets must be measurable. By nature, some of the targets are more measurable than others. It is easy to measure those that are quantitative as the goals are very precise. Target 14.1, to reduce marine pollution of all kinds can be measured by surveying micro plastic concentrations in seawater and marine life (Global Ocean Commission 2). Similarly, the goal of minimizing acidification can be measured by collecting pH samples (Leadership Council of the Sustainable DevelopmentSolutions Network 172) and the conservation of coastal and marine areas can be measured by collecting data on marine protected areas (GOC 5). It is more difficult to measure targets that are more broad and subjective. The success or failures of these targets are measured by monitoring programs, administering policies, law enforcement and assessing the environmental impacts (4). For example, targets 14.7 and 14.9, which look at the economical benefits and subsidies are measured by monitoring data and policies used in various countries. Likewise, target 14.12, to ensure full implementation of international law, is measured by looking at the number of flag states and countries who have ratified laws (6). Some targets feature both precise and subjective indicators. For instance, targets 14.4 and 14.6 which deal with the regulation of dangerous fishing practices can be measured by looking at the reported data of fish tonnage within ... Statistics from The Africa Renewal Magazine (2012) revealed that women contribute 70% of Agricultural output on the continent, with particular reference to Malawi, but they do not have as much ownership on the land. This is because land ownership rights in Africa are largely effected by customary law which is rather preventive of the ownership of land by women. It follows that when these women s husbands pass on, that land is taken by the deceased s relatives according to customary law and that is a direct antagonism to development as that woman s output is lost, together with any hope for her financial independence. In addressing the previously mentioned problems, standardisation plays a role in human rights of spelling out the exact requirements that have to be effected for the implementation process. For example, in Niger, the recent changes in the national assembly structure saw a rise in the participation of women as 15% of the seats are now held by women, according to quotaproject.org. Porter argues that substitute products will limit the potential of an industry (Porter, 1979) by diminishing its growth. Back in 1998, there were not many substitute products apart from landline services. The lack of very similar substitutes in the industry contributed to its attractiveness. In an industry composed of various players, there is guaranteed competitive rivalry. Competitive rivalry tends to be higher if there are many current and potential competitors (Porter 1979). In the case of the mobile industry in 1998, there were only two players, which meant that competition was very little. Furthermore, the market was very small, another factor limiting competition.
