Whistleblowing and Sarbanes Oxley Due

LEG 500
Law, Ethics, Corporate Governance
26 April 2015
According to Halbert, Ingulli, Frey (2015), whistleblowers are people who decide to report unethical
or illegal activities, usually activities under the control of their employers. They may be working for
private companies, nonprofit organizations, or for the government. A whistleblower is an individual
working in an organization who decides to expose the misconduct, misbehavior, or illegal actions
occurring in that organization. Making the decision to expose these actions can be very difficult to

Employers will threaten to fire or suspend a whistleblower, being able to combat retaliation will help
in this fight.
J.P. Morgan Chase Co. is a publicly traded company that has been in the news for whistleblowing in
the last 12 months. In March of 2014, the New York Federal Court awarded Keith Edwards, a former
employee of J.P. Morgan, $64 million dollars for his part in the Whistleblowing of a case that
defrauded the U.S. government. J.P. Morgan Chase Co., were submitting false claims to U.S.
government to insure flawed home loans (Stempel, 2014). For more than a decade, JP Morgan Chase
Co. submitted thousands of mortgages for insurance by the Federal Housing Administration or the
Department of Veterans Affairs that did not qualify for government guarantees. J.P. Morgan admitted
to failing to report to agencies that their internal reviews revealed problems also.
During the year 2003 through 2008 Keith Edwards was the Assistant Vice President of a government
insuring unit with J.P. Morgan. During his tenure, Mr. Edwards believed that Wall Street and his own
company J.P. Morgan Chase Co. were being deceitful in their actions. Mr. Edwards wanted to show
that companies involved in deceitful action should be held accountable for their actions, he became
known as a whistleblower for his actions. In 2008 J.P. Morgan fired Keith Edward for action in
exposing their organization. As the result of Mr. Edwards exposing the

A Treatment Option For Multiple Sclerosis
Alemtuzumab as a treatment option for multiple sclerosis: A Critical Review
Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disabling disease that affects about 1.1 million people worldwide,
majority of who form part of the western population (Wilkinson and Lennox, 2005; Zabriske, 2009).
MS mainly results from autoimmunity and is characterized by progressive damage to the central
nervous system (CNS) leading to poor motor coordination in the limbs as well as vision abnormalities
(Karp, 2013; Adamczyk Adamczyk Sowa, 2016). MS establishes itself through a dysfunctional
immune system, which causes immune cells (ICs) to attack the myelin sheath, a process termed as
demyelination. The myelin sheath forms an insulating layer around the axons of nerve cells and
facilitates the conduction of nerve impulses. Hence, the deterioration of myelin as a result of
autoimmune attack, disrupts signal conduction along the axons; this progressively establishes the
symptoms of MS (Saladin 2008; Karp 2013).
MS is established in two phases: a primary inflammatory response phase, which leads to the
accumulation of ICs in the brain followed by demyelination, which results in neuronal degeneration.
The inflammatory phase is triggered by an unknown factor, possibly the presence of antigens from an
infection in the brain, which activates T lymphocyte cells that are auto reactive for brain antigens
(Murphy, 2016). The blood brain barrier then becomes permeable allowing the entry of the activated T
cells that

An Exploration of the Components of Service Quality
Literature Review
Service Quality
The initial efforts of defining and measuring quality have primary focused on goods since the end of
1970s (e.g., Clark et al, 1987; Garvin, 1984). Crosby (1979) described goods quality as to reach or
exceed standards. Garvin (1983) suggested that goods quality could be evaluated by the incidence
number of failures which occur either before a product leaves the factory or after a unit is set up in the
field. Compared with the discussions on goods quality, service quality had been explored rarely then
(e.g., Sasser, Olsen Wyckoff, 1978; Gronroos, 1982; Lewis Booms, 1983).
Parasuranman et al (1985) is one of the cornerstone studies of service quality, which gave the
definition of service quality as the discrepancy between customers expectation for service and their
perceptions of service performance they receive. The three authors further developed a comprehensive
measurement set of service attributes called SERVQUAL. An appliance repair and maintenance firm,
several retail banks, a long distance telephone provider, a securities broker, and credit card companies.
ERVQUAL is a 22 item scale which measures service quality from five perspectives; reliability,
responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles (Parasuraman et al, 1988). SERVQUAL has been
widely used as criteria of evaluating service quality (e.g., Reidenbach Sandifer Smallwood, 1990; Tan
Pawitra, 2001; Markovic Raspor, 2010). Zeithaml et al (1990, p. xi) applauded

The Experiences Of Young Asian Men Within The Educational...
The aim of this research is to look into the experiences of young Asian men within the educational
system. When young people are going through the transition of leaving primary School to begin
secondary it can be a very daunting experience, this is where young people leave friends behind and
teachers that have played an important role in their lives to now go onto to build new relationships
with friends and teachers. The objective of this is to explore the experience of two Asian young men
who attend a main stream school and how the recognition of themselves can affect their achievement
whilst at School.
This research was carried out at XXXXX XXXXX High School is in a deprived area Smethwick
Sandwell.
As this setting is my current place of work, the School is a very multicultural environment with
prominently Asian young people alongside Polish, Russian, Kurdish and a lot more diverse young
people. The School ensure that students are given the best education possible. In 2013 Ofsted stated,

Physical Experience In High School
Walking down the cold, smelly hallways of Dutchtown high School with my freshly ironed khaki
pants, purple polo style button up, and new burnt orange and white saucony shoes, I was ready for
school. This was a very unusually hot august day with a high of 98 degrees. As I got off the bus, I felt
the sun rays beaming down on my head. I couldn t get to the cafeteria door before I started to sweat
profusely. The 7:25 bell rung to go to class. I walked to my 1st hour class and saw a short, baldheaded,
dark skinned man with a whistle around his neck. Before anyone could even come into the classroom,
the teacher told everyone make sure their IDs are on.I sat in my desk and didn t pay any attention to
what the man had just said. He began to talk about the importance of physical activity and the effect
that it has later in life. Ten minutes into the class, the short man yells get out of your desks and let sgo
outside! Fairly confused we all got up out of our desks and slowly headed out the door. The whole
class met behind the bleachers of the football stadium. We will run a total of 4 miles today, the man
yelled. The entire class sent a wave of disgust and disappointment throughout the whole school.
Looking like a group of zombies we walked slowly and unenthusiastically towards the high school s
field. The running track seemed as though it was staring at us with the look of death. I looked up in the
sky and there was

Our concentration will be fast service with a quality product, but we also plan to acquire new
customers who prefer a sit down meal.
As for our market segmentation the concentration will be on teens, young adults, and parents. Since
teens don t typically cook a lot we believe that there should be a chance for success in this area
because we are offering quality products at a cheap price. The same could be said about the young
adults as they could be new into the work force and looking to get the most food for the price and this
is something that we will be able to provide for them. With all of this being said our main focus will
still be with parents and families. This is because we want to gain customers at a young age and hope
to maintain these customers for the period of their entire lives. If our business is able to obtain life
long customers it is sure to be a success and this is what we are looking for with our business.
Positioning Statement To provide the best meal possible, while maintaining our speed of service and
friendliness of the crew.
While it is our main goal to be fast, accurate, and friendly we also want to make sure that the quality is
there with our products as this will build repeat business for our restaurant.
Offering to customers Fast food service with excellent customer service with a smile. The idea is to be
welcoming to customers of all ages and especially to children.

Accounting Based On Fair Value
Executive Summary: In October 2004 at their mutual meeting, the IASB and the US FASB chose to
add to personal plans a combined task to create a typical theoretical structure, based on both the
current IASB and the FASB Conceptual Framework, both Boards would use as a premise for their

Directly or indirectly, financial reporting measurements of performance and financial position affect
almost everyone. They help to determine whether a business is regarded as a failure or a success,
whether its employees earn a bonus, whether they keep their jobs, what dividends investors receive,
and how much tax the business pays. In the context of measurement, the aspiration expressed by Sir
David Tweedie, the Chairman of the IASB, is an appealing one: The real objective is to have one
single set of accounting standards, so it doesn t matter whether a transaction takes place in any part of
the world, we ll account for it the same way. The significant role of Measurement First and foremost,
this Report shall provide a general background on the issue of Measurement. Theorists have indicated
the definition of measurement, and in the case of Campbell, Measurement is: The assignment of
numerals to represent properties of material systems other than numbers, while Stevens suggests that it
is: The assignment of numerals to objects or events according to rules. (Stevens, 1946) Generally,
most theorists agree upon the definition of Measurement as the linking of formal number system to
some properties, or objects and events under a chain of semantic rules. In the case of Accounting,
these rules are indicated by transactions. In other words, Accounting is recorded on the

Marketing Plan for United Airlines
Airline companies are becoming more and more competitive as the low budget discount airlines are
becoming popular. It is key for airlines to differentiate themselves among the various airlines to
choose from, and United Airlines wanted to ensure that it offered products and services for all
marketing segments. United realized that it needed to develop a customer centric future strategy and
galvanize its organization to improve the customer experience for its most valued customers (Prophet,

Like many organizations, United Airlines uses market segmentation to help define the target market
and become a leading choice for airline travelers. United Airline s marketing firm uses psychographic
segmentation, which divides customers according to their lifestyle, as a way to successfully target
specific customers. United Airlines used questionnaires to classify their potential customers by their
motivations and identified nine motivational segment profiles which are: global executives, schedule
optimizers, corporate troopers, mile accumulators, reluctant travelers, tour takers, quality vacationers,
travel seekers, and frugal flyers (The Times 100, 2003, p. 2). The reasons why travelers choose to fly
United varies. For example, some may choose this airline because of price, while others choose it
because of their frequent flyer program, schedules, or other services. As a legacy airline, it would not
be productive for United to try and gain business from those that are more concerned with lower ticket
fares. Instead, the airline chose to focus on the frequent business travelers as their core market. By
segmenting the customers, United chose to focus on the global executives as their target market. These
folks made up only 9 percent of United s travelers, but they represented 46 percent of United s
revenue (Di Frisco, 2011, para. 2). By using psychographic segmentation,

Life in South India Can you imagine being born in one culture and learning all of their beliefs, and
then coming to the United States where you had to begin a whole new life with new customs and
traditions different from the ones you had already learned? I cannot possibly imagine how it would
feel to be an outsider learning and trying to comprehend what a new culture does. To understand how
this must feel, I interviewed a man that has been close to me basically my whole life. Interviewing my
pediatrician I have had for the past twenty years really had an impact on me. I had not understood
exactly what consisted of another culture until interviewing, especially his culture in which I never
thought of. Learning and interviewing a different culture helped me see some very important things,
one being how every culture has their own specific characteristics that make up how their culture is
unique, and the other, comparing and contrasting it to our own, American culture. Interviewing a
person that had been so close to me and my family for so long made it that much more interesting
while completeing. I was asked to sit in the office I had always sat in as a little kid and remembering
that I had never had a problem with Dr. Krishna s race before. He was my doctor, my pediatrician, and
my friend in which I always looked forward to seeing no matter what race he was/is. After getting to

The National Health Service System
The National Health Service (NHS), established in 1948, is Great Britain s universal health care
system. Unlike that of the USA, the NHS is a single payer system, covering ~100% of if its citizens
and ordinarily residents. While supported by a number of other agencies and public bodies, the NHS is
overseen by the Department of Health, which is responsible for funding of health and social services
and creating policies and legislation. The NHS covers preventative services; inpatient and outpatient
(ambulatory) hospital (specialist) care; physician (general practitioner) services; inpatient and
outpatient drugs, mental health care; learning disabilities; and rehabilitation. Additionally most
prescription drugs are covered (though some are subject to co pay). While the NHS is free of most
specific cost to its citizens, there are limitations of the system in which specific direct cost to citizens
arise. For example, dental, vision, and certain prescription services are not generally covered by the
NHS, although certain exclusions apply in which individuals under the age of 18 (19 if in school full

Animal Rights Vs Peter Singer

Vicki Hearne, animal trainer and author of What s Wrong with Animal Rights, and Peter Singer,
author of The Animal Liberation Movement, relate humans to other living beings. Although, both
Hearne and Singer share some similarities towards animal rights their perspective towards animal
suffering differ in definitions and qualities of suffering. Hearne and Singer link animal suffering to
human connection with other living beings. Singer defines suffering as inequality stating that most

Stating that there are no similarities to humans and non humans would be like saying there is no way

Vicki, two different species of organism have developed improvised ways of communicating. For

suffering is due to the lack of happiness and Singer believing suffering refers to pain of a creature.

Sociology Chapter Summary
In chapter 7 of our text, Sociology, A Brief Introduction by Richard Schaefer, social control is
discussed. According to the text, Social control is defined as techniques and strategies for preventing
deviant human behavior in any society (Schaefer, 159). An example used in the text to explain this
concept was informal norms such as dress codes introduced by peer groups in order to, govern the
behavior of their members (Schaefer, 159). Within society, a term that is commonly known as
deviance stems from social control. Deviance is exhibiting behavior that violates the standards of
conduct or expectations of a group or society (Schaefer. 165). Deviant behavior goes against the social
norms of society. One current event that has brought

Similarities And Differences Of Exemplary Citizens
Exemplary Citizens
What does being a good citizen exactly mean? There are many factors that will affect if someone is
viewed as a one. Being considered a good citizen will depend on the country as every country is
unique and sees some aspects differently compared to others. The United States of America and China
share similarities and differences through their preamble, constitution, and citizenship. Similarly, these
countries use their preamble to create a broad proposal of what a good citizen is. Both serve as a guide
for what will be discussed in their constitution as well. In addition to this each preamble has a part that
explains where consent is derived from. Comparably they both proclaim that the power comes from
the people. The United States express the We the People of the United States statement, whereas
China claims that All power in the People s Republic of China belongs to the people. These words are
proof to both countries claim to be a democracy. A functioning democracy is the form of government
that provides its citizens with lots of freedom, opportunity, and prosperity. Although there are several
similarities, differences can be found in the format or structure of the preambles. The United States
preamble is significantly smaller compared to China s. In general, the United States prefers the
succinct version as it allows the reader to remember more and/or grasp the main concept. Unlike the

Classical Elements Of The Military Essay
Classical elements of our military are organizational structure, principles of organizational reward, the
machine metaphor, and the theory of bureaucracy. Many theories of management have military
backgrounds that date back to the beginning of history to Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and
Napoleon. All of these leaders became successful through their efficiency to lead, line of command,
unity, and division of work. The United States Military is divided into five branches of service. The
Army is the the oldest branch of the military, and focuses on defending the country and is the main
fighting force of the military. The Air Force works with the Army and is in charge of all of the
satellites and nuclear missiles. The Navy ensures equal freedom in the oceans around the world, and
protects the interests of our nation to be free. Marine Corps are the first ones to battle, and are
responsible for delivering tasks on ground, sea, and in the air. The Coast Guard is responsible for
boating safety and rescue, law enforcement, and controlling illegal immigration (Hewes 2005). These
are the building blocks behind the reason why our military is so successful and powerful. In 1775,
before our nation was established as a Country, colonists were organized into miscellaneous militias
with no distinct structure or organization of a unified hierarchy. George Washington recognized the
missing piece to the puzzle, and how the Continental Army would conquer and win the Revolutionary
War.

The Influence Of Bats In Antarctica
Bats are the only mammals that are capable of continuous flight and live all across the world except in
Antarctica. The reason that there are no bats in Antarctica is because they live in areas in moderate
climates, so they avoid extreme deserts or Polar Regions. They also make up about one fourth of
mammals, with around 1,000 species. They primarily eat night flying insects, which makes them a
great contributor of pest control. However, the minority of bats consumes nectar, fruit, blood, and
other small animals.
Unfortunately, during the 21st century, some bats from parts of North America was affected from the

The Fall of Rome and Nazi Germany
Societies flourish and fall, all of them do. They fight and suffer and even kill to keep their society
alive. As a result, societies like ancient Rome and Nazi Germany, eventually fall and crumble. Over
time some of these societies recover, but are never the same again. Societies fail due to political
corruption, loss of resources and war. These obstacles are hard to overcome, but not impossible. These
obstacles weaken and tear at societies, until they finally break, turning them into a piece of history.
Political Corruption and the fall of government are one of the main reasons why societies fail.

Physical and Behavioral Responses to Starvation and Famine in Two Populations
Introduction
Famine is an event in which food and resources are inaccessible and the majority of a population is
endangered (Shipton, 1990). When applied to starvation this definition is accurate with one additional
idea: starvation is the result of inaccessibility to resources. Many factors contribute to the progression
of famine and the resulting starvation. One of the key factors to consider is the delineation between
naturally occurring and man made starvation and famine.

and analysis of starvation in human subjects and is commonly used for interpreting starvation and
famine experiences under less controlled populations and circumstances. The results of the study filled
the urgent need after World War II for information on the physical changes that occur because of semi
starvation and what approach should be taken in rehabilitating starving people. The parameters in
addition to continuous residence at the Laboratory of Physiological
Hygiene at the University of Minnesota included strict dietary controls during the three stages of the
study: a twelve week control, a twenty four week semi starvation, and a twelve week period of
restricted rehabilitation. The diet consumed during the semi starvation period reflected the diet typical
of European areas that had or were experiencing famine. The food proportions and diets were adjusted
to each subject according to body size and relative obesity (Keys et al.,
1950).

Essay On New Haven
The city of New Haven, Connecticut has been a long standing settlement. Established officially by
Europeans in March of 1638 (Source 3), New Haven has a detailed history of population declines and
growth. The territory that is now New Haven was once inhabited by the Native American group the
Quinnipiack (Source 6). The accrual of land was easy for the English settlers in this territory due to
the conflicts between the Native American groups. The Quinnipiack tribe occupied the area near the
harbor and the Mohawks and Pequots occupied the surrounding area and constantly harassed the
Quinnipiack. When the English arrived the Quinnipiack traded their land for protection, which the
English agreed to immediately. Through the years the settlement of New Haven has grown and
declined in population due to different factors including political, economic and many more. The
English settlers first selected the territory that is now New Haven due to its location and availability of
resources. New Haven can be described by using the five themes of geography, which are location,

Although this vision of New Haven being a major trade harbor was diminished when larger cities such
as Boston began to trade (Source 3), the harbor still controlled movement throughout the town of New
Haven. One example of this movement would be that the first settlers went in and out of New Haven
through the harbor and after the settlement was well established many immigrants from Europe
immigrated through the harbor as well. Today the harbor is still used for some trade as well as
recreation. Lastly, the regional definition in regards to New Haven s geography can be defined as the
coastal region of Connecticut. However, when it was first established the region was much more

There Is No True History Of The Westward Expansion Summary
In the text, There Is No True History of the Westward Expansion, written by Robert Morgan he tells
how he believed that there were villians and heroes in the westward expansion. The white men were
the so called heroes , whereas the Indians were thought of as the villains in the expansion westward. In
the text Chief Joseph Speaks..., by Chief Joseph he believes otherwise. The white men are in the
wrong to think they can just come into someone else s territory and expect them to leave their homes.
The Indians did nothing wrong, they can t be the villains. In Chief Joseph Speaks..., Joesph states, On

Yes the white men did try to pay for the Indians removal but that s the only thing that they tried to help
them with. Chief Joseph stated, They stole a great many horses from us and we could not get them
back because we were Indians. The white men told lies for each other. They drove off a great deal of
our cattle. Some white men branded our young cattle so they could claim them. This quote shows how
the white men treated the Indians badly even though they never fought back against them. After
everything the white men did to the Indians, Morgan still believed that the white men were the heroes
in this event. The white men came into the Indians territory and stole their cattle along with many
other things and then expected them to just give up their land. The Indians play the role of the helpless
sheep in the pasture while the white men play as the wolves that never get caught. The white men are
seen as heroes for conquering and settling a newly found land but the Indians had to pay the price by

Barack Obama s Path Of Presidency
Barack Obama s path to presidency was extremely difficult and one of the best executed political
strategies in recent memory. In a country still ripe with racism and bigotry, a black man of mixed
heritage was able to become the 44th President of the United States of America, an incredible
accomplishment that many didn t think was possible. For most politicians with career goals set
towards lofty government positions like the Commander in Chief, there is a well worn path that many
choose to take that leads up to running for such a high office. One part of that path is that somewhere
along the way you need to write a book or memoir of some sort, this can help establish early how
people feel about you and can start generating a buzz among voters, especially if you are already in a
position in Congress. President Obama did the same thing in 1995 when he began his quest to join the
Illinois Senate by writing his memoir, Dreams from My Father and later republished the same book in
2004 when he was running for the U.S. Senate. In Dreams from My Father, Obama s words are often
frank and honest in a way that most people wouldn t expect from a man that eventually becomes the
leader of the free world. He talks very openly about casual drug use and his leisure time as a young
man in a way that many think would raise flags for some potential voters seeing that most people want
to believe the illusion of the polished and perfected lifestyles that people running for office often show

A Crisis Of Character By Jody Williams
A Crisis of Character American political activist Jody Williams once said There s a mythology that if
you want to change the world, you have to be sainted like Mother Teresa or Archbishop Desmond
Tutu. But ordinary people with lives that go up and down and around in circles can still contribute to
change. In an excerpt from his essay Why Bother? published in the New York Times Magazine,
American public intellectual Michael Pollan reveals his goal to convince ordinary American citizens
that they are capable of changing their behavior in order to reduce America s carbon footprint.
Through the use of the four rhetorical elements situation, purpose, claim, and audience, Pollan aspires
to have his readers gain a greater understanding that the environmental crisis is at heart a crisis of
character (Pollan 766). However, although Pollan targets the correct audience to carry out his purpose,
he fails to provide proper evidence to support his claim that individual contribution matters.
Pollan states that the situation that first motivated him to write about his distress over the state of the
environment came from a televised lecture made by American politician and environmentalist Al
Gore, entitled An Inconvenient Truth. The documentary was intended to raise awareness about the
dangers of global warming and encourage people to take appropriate action to successfully reverse
climate change. Pollan recalls that the really dark moment [of the lecture] came during the closing

George Bernard Shaw Character Analysis
1. What does Esslin mean when he states that poetry is static ? Esslin states that poetry is static
because it conveys a central idea, atmosphere, or mode of being which is essentially static. When
Esslin states that poetry is static he means that it doesn t tell a story like narrative rather poetry is all
concerned to convey a central idea, mode of being or an atmosphere which is what he thinks makes
poetry static. Narrative proceeds in a manner that must lead to a final message or end result and moves

The Pros And Cons Of The Right To Voting
As citizens of the United States, individuals have the ability to participate in their government. In
various countries, political outcomes are more controlled and their citizens have little to no say in
government decisions. In the U.S. however, as part of a representative democracy, citizens eighteen
and older are granted the right to elect politicians to represent them. From local, to state and then on to
the national level, voters may partake in elections. Although U.S. citizens have the right to vote, as
displayed in the low voter turnout, many American voters do not exercise this right due to an array of
reasons.
In more recent national elections, of the registered voters, only about sixty percent actually
participated in the election by casting a vote. Various aspects affect voting turnout. Some people are
more likely to vote than others because they are registered. While in other democratic countries
citizenship automatically enables people to vote, the U.S is one of the few world democracies that
require registration for individuals who wish to vote (Black). Those that are not registered may be less
encouraged to participate in an election. Although some may argue that registering to vote is a process
that requires only a few steps, numerous amounts of individuals fail to take the first step, thus they do
not end up voting (Black). Another aspect that affect the likelihood of an individual voting include
conflicts in schedules. In the U.S., elections are held on

Infantile Autism Essay
What is Autism? Did you know, according to CCN, about sixty eight children has Autism Spectrum
Disorder (ASD)? ASD, also known as autism, is a brain disorder that interferes with a person s
behavior and/or interactions with others. The word autism, which has been in use for about 100 years,
comes from the Greek word autos, meaning self. The term describes conditions in which a person is
removed from social interaction hence, an isolated self (WedMD). Autism itself is often called autistic

The word Autism was first used in 1908 to describe schizophrenia, a brain disorder in which people
interpret reality abnormally, people who were self absorbed or cocky. In 1943, Dr. Leo Kenner was the
first to used Autism for kids who were highly intelligent but did not want to interact with others, he
called this early infantile autism. In 1950, Bruno Bettelhiem, a child development specialist, viewed
autism was being caused by emotionally cold and distanced mothers. This became known as the
Refrigerator Mother Theory . The Refrigerator Mother Theory is when a mother does not interact, or
play, with the child at all, causing the child to be fridged ( David E. Simpson, J.J. Hanley, and Gordon
Quinn in the film History of Autism Blame ). In 1987, The DSM ( Dianostic and Statistical Manual of
Matal Disorders) replaced infantile autism with autism disorder . Around this time, researchers used to
think the cause of autism was due to bad parenting. Not only that, the federal government made autism
a special education category. This allowed public schools to start knowing children with autism and
offer them special services. Some children would be sent to foster care to see if they would recover
back then, By this time, many researchers were convinced that the basic reasons were to be found in
neurological disturbances, sometimes combined with hereditary illnesses like tuberous sclerosis,
metabolic disturbances like PKU or chromosomal aberrations such as fragile X chromosome (Certec).
In 1994, the National Alliance for Autism Research and Cure Autism Now raised awareness about
ASD. Later on that year, researchers began to believe that the cause of autism was due to mercury in
vaccines. This lead to vaccine makers to stop making thimerosal, a vaccine that is made of mainly
mercury. In 2001, the National Institute of Health could not find

the manner in which it was carried out to the results that its portrayed. Some people believe that as a

through the said experiment. The research also demonstrates the interaction between the reality and

Slowly the prisoners lost their identities as a person to their new identities and were content to replace
their names with prison numbers. As the experiments continued the guards fit into their roles as the
sadistic people well, the prisoners even turned against each other. However, a few inmates could not
adjust to the new lives in prison and had to drop out of the experiments. (Martyn, 2008) The first
critique is the claim in the findings of Zimbardo that in some very harsh circumstances that good can
turn into evil. Zimbardo goes further and questions what the real life prisons do to the guard and
prisoners who go in without the best idea as to the life they are starting. From his observation, the
experiment showed the changes in the behaviour of the guards from their day of entry to the end. The
previously compassionate and non violent people turn into the authoritative figures that the prisoners
fear. The deduction may have been wrong since even the experiments may not have portrayed the
human nature since the guards later indicated that they only played the roles given and did what the
warden expected of them. Unlike in Plato s case, the sight was not a role played only the confinement
but the observations of the analogy are far more accurate since it is the sight and reaction to the light
and shadows and the people s view that entailed the observation. (Martyn, 2008) The criteria for

There are three ways we can evaluate a company s performance. Financial, operational and overall
effectiveness (Ramsey, J. R., Bahia, B. R., 2013). By looking at financial indicators such as sales
growth, growth of foreign sales and return of investment one can assess if these fulfill the economic
goals that the company have. When using the operational dimension, we look at non financial
elements that may influences the company s performance. This includes market share, new products
introduction, product quality etc. The last of the three, overall effectiveness, evaluates achievement of
goals, perceived overall performance, perceived performance in relations to its competitors etc (Hult,

The Problem With 24 Hour News
Dustin Wisby English II Ms. Stewart 9 21 2014 The Problem with 24 Hour News biasness of each
During any breaking news segment on any 24 hour news coverage channel there seems to always be
problems and mistakes that are made by reporters for not having the correct information on the story.
Also when there is no significant stories to report on there seems to be a cycle of information that each

over and over, and so on. Just imagine if one had to have something to say constantly about anything
and everything they could find. Would that not get annoying listening to one person speak all day
every day about anything they could find. So why do we have these problems and is it even good for
the people of the United States to have twenty four hour news channels? At the beginning of television

developed over time through study and practical experience. Some individuals may be born with a
greater propensity towards leadership, but even these individuals must take advantage of leadership
experiences in order to hone their skills. The Bible gives us examples of men and women who
appeared to be unlikely leaders, but were molded by God to guide God s people in times of need.
Moses the murderer led the Israelites to the Promised Land and David the adulterer became the
greatest king of Israel (Exodus 2 Samuel). What set these men apart was not their genius, speaking
ability or military prowess but rather their dependence on God. The kings that followed David failed
to ensure that Israel remained faithful to the Lord and this resulted in the division of the kingdom and
exile of the nation (1 2 Kings). Christian leaders of today can look to the example of Moses and David
to encourage perseverance and commitment to following God s leading. Indeed, God will always

Rap Vs Rap
From the beating of the drums to the use of instruments, music has been around us and has changed
the way we, as humans, interact with one another. As music changes over time, it starts to differentiate
itself from other types and creates what we now call genres and a style that keeps pushing itself
further and further, is no other than Rap/Hip Hop.This genre was started back in the 1980s in New
York where it was an outlet for artists to tell their stories. As Rap music moves forward, subgenres rise
and start to create their own distinctive sounds, and this is where rap begins to split. A very popular
subgenre that has blown up over the course of a decade is called Trap. Recently Trap music has made
huge waves in the music industry, this style of music is everywhere! it is hard to escape, but recently
there has been a great deal of talk going around that Trap music is way better than rap but this is where
the disagreement comes into place. Once you compare all the facts and key points about what makes a
genre better than the other, Rap is miles ahead of Trap music in every way possible and any avid
music listener will and can tell you this. When listening to music, often times the listener would want
the song or album to relate in some way. Knowing that a specific artist has the same problem or is
going through the same predicament makes it more special and establishes a connection between the
listener and the artist, but when there is no message, it is just words

Edgar Allen Poe s Tales Of Terror And The Raven Essay
Edgar Allen Poe s Tales of Terror and The Raven
The film of chosen I decided upon was Edgar Allen Poe s Tales of Terror, and the reading I choose
was Edgar Allen Poe s famous The Raven. Both the film and the writing included a common theme of
death and tragedy. The film was separated into three different tales, while all three tales had a very
different story line they all included the common theme I stated above. In the film, I also concluded
that for each action there was a reaction, meaning each bad deed done there was a repercussion to the
action. In the Poem, The Raven it also includes death and the sorrow and the human s need to self
torture. Edgar Allen Poe s ability to capture his readers into his dark imagination of horror and
mystery is one that will forever be famous for.
In the first Tales of Terror Morella was a story about a father and daughter whose relationship was
compromised, as she was being blamed of the cause of death of her mother. The Daughter Lenora
returns to her father s house after twenty six years of being away. Her father Locke isn t welcoming to
her returning as he still holds resentment to her for the death of his wife from giving birth. Lenora
comes across the corpse of her mother and startled, Locke states he could not manage with the thought
of burying her six feet under. When your mother died I then died as well her father states. You can see

THCM is ultimately physical and portrays a man s desperation and lust, The persona of THCM has
written this poem as a persuasion technique, with the addressee being his current girlfriend while the

alignment differs. In Remember the speaker uses metaphorical devices to soften the message that she

Theorist Theory Description Characteristics of the Theory Process Application of Learning
Mechanisms of Change Reaction when theory is applied Basic Observation Outcomes Bandura (1977)
Social Learning Theory: Albert Bandura s Social Learning Theory believes that learning occurs in a
social context through observation, imitation, and direct instruction. It comprises of attention,
retention, reproduction, and motivation. *Attention *Retention *Reproduction *Motivation *Attention
this implies that to accurately learn by observation, a person must pay attention to the person doing the
modeling and should steer away from any possible distraction. *Retention this is a poignant part of the
social learning process as the behavior may have been observed, but it is not always remembered
which thus prevents imitation or mimicry (McLeod, 2006). *Reproduction this is the process where
the student practices the recently learned behavior, and it is majorly dependent on the physical
capabilities of the observer to reproduce the behavior. *Motivation a person has to value the benefit of
continuously performing the action. Therefore, this development is often driven by positive
reinforcement for demonstrating the behavior correctly or punishment for applying the behavior
inappropriately (Sincero, 2011). Bandura s Social Learning Theory has been used to understand the
behavior of children in a social setting. For example, a new student who observes how his/her peers

Morgan Chase Co. is a publicly traded company that has been in the news for whistleblowing in the last 12 months. In March of 2014, the New York Federal Court awarded Keith Edwards, a former employee of J.P. • 4. A Treatment Option For Multiple Sclerosis Alemtuzumab as a treatment option for multiple sclerosis: A Critical Review Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a chronic disabling disease that affects about 1.1 million people worldwide, majority of who form part of the western population (Wilkinson and Lennox, 2005; Zabriske, 2009). MS mainly results from autoimmunity and is characterized by progressive damage to the central nervous system (CNS) leading to poor motor coordination in the limbs as well as vision abnormalities (Karp, 2013; Adamczyk Adamczyk Sowa, 2016). MS establishes itself through a dysfunctional immune system, which causes immune cells (ICs) to attack the myelin sheath, a process termed as demyelination. The myelin sheath forms an insulating layer around the axons of nerve cells and facilitates the conduction of nerve impulses. Hence, the deterioration of myelin as a result of autoimmune attack, disrupts signal conduction along the axons; this progressively establishes the symptoms of MS (Saladin 2008; Karp 2013). MS is established in two phases: a primary inflammatory response phase, which leads to the accumulation of ICs in the brain followed by demyelination, which results in neuronal degeneration. The inflammatory phase is triggered by an unknown factor, possibly the presence of antigens from an infection in the brain, which activates T lymphocyte cells that are auto reactive for brain antigens (Murphy, 2016). The blood brain barrier then becomes permeable allowing the entry of the activated T cells that ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. An Exploration of the Components of Service Quality Literature Review Service Quality The initial efforts of defining and measuring quality have primary focused on goods since the end of 1970s (e.g., Clark et al, 1987; Garvin, 1984). Crosby (1979) described goods quality as to reach or exceed standards. Garvin (1983) suggested that goods quality could be evaluated by the incidence number of failures which occur either before a product leaves the factory or after a unit is set up in the field. Compared with the discussions on goods quality, service quality had been explored rarely then (e.g., Sasser, Olsen Wyckoff, 1978; Gronroos, 1982; Lewis Booms, 1983). Parasuranman et al (1985) is one of the cornerstone studies of service quality, which gave the definition of service quality as the discrepancy between customers expectation for service and their perceptions of service performance they receive. The three authors further developed a comprehensive measurement set of service attributes called SERVQUAL. An appliance repair and maintenance firm, several retail banks, a long distance telephone provider, a securities broker, and credit card companies. ERVQUAL is a 22 item scale which measures service quality from five perspectives; reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles (Parasuraman et al, 1988). SERVQUAL has been widely used as criteria of evaluating service quality (e.g., Reidenbach Sandifer Smallwood, 1990; Tan Pawitra, 2001; Markovic Raspor, 2010). • 7. Physical Experience In High School Walking down the cold, smelly hallways of Dutchtown high School with my freshly ironed khaki pants, purple polo style button up, and new burnt orange and white saucony shoes, I was ready for school. This was a very unusually hot august day with a high of 98 degrees. As I got off the bus, I felt the sun rays beaming down on my head. I couldn t get to the cafeteria door before I started to sweat profusely. The 7:25 bell rung to go to class. I walked to my 1st hour class and saw a short, baldheaded, dark skinned man with a whistle around his neck. Before anyone could even come into the classroom, the teacher told everyone make sure their IDs are on.I sat in my desk and didn t pay any attention to what the man had just said. He began to talk about the importance of physical activity and the effect that it has later in life. Ten minutes into the class, the short man yells get out of your desks and let sgo outside! Fairly confused we all got up out of our desks and slowly headed out the door. The whole class met behind the bleachers of the football stadium. We will run a total of 4 miles today, the man yelled. The entire class sent a wave of disgust and disappointment throughout the whole school. Looking like a group of zombies we walked slowly and unenthusiastically towards the high school s field. They help to determine whether a business is regarded as a failure or a success, whether its employees earn a bonus, whether they keep their jobs, what dividends investors receive, and how much tax the business pays. In the context of measurement, the aspiration expressed by Sir David Tweedie, the Chairman of the IASB, is an appealing one: The real objective is to have one single set of accounting standards, so it doesn t matter whether a transaction takes place in any part of the world, we ll account for it the same way. Theorists have indicated the definition of measurement, and in the case of Campbell, Measurement is: The assignment of numerals to represent properties of material systems other than numbers, while Stevens suggests that it is: The assignment of numerals to objects or events according to rules. (Stevens, 1946) Generally, most theorists agree upon the definition of Measurement as the linking of formal number system to some properties, or objects and events under a chain of semantic rules. Like many organizations, United Airlines uses market segmentation to help define the target market and become a leading choice for airline travelers. United Airline s marketing firm uses psychographic segmentation, which divides customers according to their lifestyle, as a way to successfully target specific customers. United Airlines used questionnaires to classify their potential customers by their motivations and identified nine motivational segment profiles which are: global executives, schedule optimizers, corporate troopers, mile accumulators, reluctant travelers, tour takers, quality vacationers, travel seekers, and frugal flyers (The Times 100, 2003, p. 2). The reasons why travelers choose to fly United varies. For example, some may choose this airline because of price, while others choose it because of their frequent flyer program, schedules, or other services. As a legacy airline, it would not be productive for United to try and gain business from those that are more concerned with lower ticket fares. Instead, the airline chose to focus on the frequent business travelers as their core market. By segmenting the customers, United chose to focus on the global executives as their target market. These folks made up only 9 percent of United s travelers, but they represented 46 percent of United s revenue (Di Frisco, 2011, para. 2). By using psychographic segmentation, ... I cannot possibly imagine how it would feel to be an outsider learning and trying to comprehend what a new culture does. To understand how this must feel, I interviewed a man that has been close to me basically my whole life. Interviewing my pediatrician I have had for the past twenty years really had an impact on me. I had not understood exactly what consisted of another culture until interviewing, especially his culture in which I never thought of. Learning and interviewing a different culture helped me see some very important things, one being how every culture has their own specific characteristics that make up how their culture is unique, and the other, comparing and contrasting it to our own, American culture. Many theories of management have military backgrounds that date back to the beginning of history to Alexander the Great, Julius Caesar, and Napoleon. All of these leaders became successful through their efficiency to lead, line of command, unity, and division of work. The United States Military is divided into five branches of service. The Army is the the oldest branch of the military, and focuses on defending the country and is the main fighting force of the military. The Air Force works with the Army and is in charge of all of the satellites and nuclear missiles. The Navy ensures equal freedom in the oceans around the world, and protects the interests of our nation to be free. Marine Corps are the first ones to battle, and are responsible for delivering tasks on ground, sea, and in the air. The Coast Guard is responsible for boating safety and rescue, law enforcement, and controlling illegal immigration (Hewes 2005). These are the building blocks behind the reason why our military is so successful and powerful. In an excerpt from his essay Why Bother? published in the New York Times Magazine, American public intellectual Michael Pollan reveals his goal to convince ordinary American citizens that they are capable of changing their behavior in order to reduce America s carbon footprint. Through the use of the four rhetorical elements situation, purpose, claim, and audience, Pollan aspires to have his readers gain a greater understanding that the environmental crisis is at heart a crisis of character (Pollan 766). However, although Pollan targets the correct audience to carry out his purpose, he fails to provide proper evidence to support his claim that individual contribution matters. • 32. The Pros And Cons Of The Right To Voting As citizens of the United States, individuals have the ability to participate in their government. In various countries, political outcomes are more controlled and their citizens have little to no say in government decisions. In the U.S. however, as part of a representative democracy, citizens eighteen and older are granted the right to elect politicians to represent them. From local, to state and then on to the national level, voters may partake in elections. Although U.S. citizens have the right to vote, as displayed in the low voter turnout, many American voters do not exercise this right due to an array of reasons. In more recent national elections, of the registered voters, only about sixty percent actually participated in the election by casting a vote. Various aspects affect voting turnout. Some people are more likely to vote than others because they are registered. While in other democratic countries citizenship automatically enables people to vote, the U.S is one of the few world democracies that require registration for individuals who wish to vote (Black). Those that are not registered may be less encouraged to participate in an election. Although some may argue that registering to vote is a process that requires only a few steps, numerous amounts of individuals fail to take the first step, thus they do not end up voting (Black). Another aspect that affect the likelihood of an individual voting include conflicts in schedules. In the U.S., elections are held on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

ASD, also known as autism, is a brain disorder that interferes with a person s behavior and/or interactions with others. The word autism, which has been in use for about 100 years, comes from the Greek word autos, meaning self. The term describes conditions in which a person is removed from social interaction hence, an isolated self (WedMD). Autism itself is often called autistic disorder , childhood autism , or infantile autism . The word Autism was first used in 1908 to describe schizophrenia, a brain disorder in which people interpret reality abnormally, people who were self absorbed or cocky. In 1943, Dr. Leo Kenner was the first to used Autism for kids who were highly intelligent but did not want to interact with others, he called this early infantile autism. In 1950, Bruno Bettelhiem, a child development specialist, viewed autism was being caused by emotionally cold and distanced mothers. This became known as the Refrigerator Mother Theory . The Refrigerator Mother Theory is when a mother does not interact, or play, with the child at all, causing the child to be fridged ( David E. Simpson, J.J. Hanley, and Gordon Quinn in the film History of Autism Blame ). In 1987, The DSM ( Dianostic and Statistical Manual of Matal Disorders) replaced infantile autism with autism disorder . Around this time, researchers used to think the cause of autism was due to bad parenting. Not only that, the federal government made autism a special education category. This allowed public schools to start knowing children with autism and offer them special services. Some children would be sent to foster care to see if they would recover back then, By this time, many researchers were convinced that the basic reasons were to be found in neurological disturbances, sometimes combined with hereditary illnesses like tuberous sclerosis, metabolic disturbances like PKU or chromosomal aberrations such as fragile X chromosome (Certec). In 1994, the National Alliance for Autism Research and Cure Autism Now raised awareness about ASD. Later on that year, researchers began to believe that the cause of autism was due to mercury in vaccines. This lead to vaccine makers to stop making thimerosal, a vaccine that is made of mainly mercury. In 2001, the National Institute of Health could not find ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Student Name: Course Title: Instructor: Submission Date: Critical view into Philip Zimbardo s Stanford Prison Experiment Zimbardo s prison experiment continues to receive a lot of critics from the manner in which it was carried out to the results that its portrayed. Some people believe that as a psychologist, Zimbardo should have done a better job in trying to show how good can turn into evil through the said experiment. The research also demonstrates the interaction between the reality and the illusion which is also the concepts that Plato portrays in his analogy of light in a cave. As both of the experiments sometimes describe fantasy is more believable than the reality. Comparing the analogy of the cave and the experiment, a lot of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Slowly the prisoners lost their identities as a person to their new identities and were content to replace their names with prison numbers. As the experiments continued the guards fit into their roles as the sadistic people well, the prisoners even turned against each other. However, a few inmates could not adjust to the new lives in prison and had to drop out of the experiments. (Martyn, 2008) The first critique is the claim in the findings of Zimbardo that in some very harsh circumstances that good can turn into evil. Zimbardo goes further and questions what the real life prisons do to the guard and prisoners who go in without the best idea as to the life they are starting. From his observation, the experiment showed the changes in the behaviour of the guards from their day of entry to the end. The previously compassionate and non violent people turn into the authoritative figures that the prisoners fear. The deduction may have been wrong since even the experiments may not have portrayed the human nature since the guards later indicated that they only played the roles given and did what the warden expected of them. Unlike in Plato s case, the sight was not a role played only the confinement but the observations of the analogy are far more accurate since it is the sight and reaction to the light and shadows and the people s view that entailed the observation. By looking at financial indicators such as sales growth, growth of foreign sales and return of investment one can assess if these fulfill the economic goals that the company have. When using the operational dimension, we look at non financial elements that may influences the company s performance. This includes market share, new products introduction, product quality etc. The last of the three, overall effectiveness, evaluates achievement of goals, perceived overall performance, perceived performance in relations to its competitors etc (Hult, Ketchen, Griffith, Chabowski, Hamman, Dykes, Pollitte, Cavusgil, 2008). Also when there is no significant stories to report on there seems to be a cycle of information that each news channel tries to throw at you. Examples of this would be presidential stories, repeating stories over and over, and so on. Just imagine if one had to have something to say constantly about anything and everything they could find. Would that not get annoying listening to one person speak all day every day about anything they could find. Some individuals may be born with a greater propensity towards leadership, but even these individuals must take advantage of leadership experiences in order to hone their skills. The Bible gives us examples of men and women who appeared to be unlikely leaders, but were molded by God to guide God s people in times of need. Moses the murderer led the Israelites to the Promised Land and David the adulterer became the greatest king of Israel (Exodus 2 Samuel). What set these men apart was not their genius, speaking ability or military prowess but rather their dependence on God. The kings that followed David failed to ensure that Israel remained faithful to the Lord and this resulted in the division of the kingdom and exile of the nation (1 2 Kings). Christian leaders of today can look to the example of Moses and David to encourage perseverance and commitment to following God s leading. Indeed, God will always provide the means for His people to succeed in the roles where He places them (2 Corinthians ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 39. Rap Vs Rap From the beating of the drums to the use of instruments, music has been around us and has changed the way we, as humans, interact with one another. As music changes over time, it starts to differentiate itself from other types and creates what we now call genres and a style that keeps pushing itself further and further, is no other than Rap/Hip Hop.This genre was started back in the 1980s in New York where it was an outlet for artists to tell their stories. As Rap music moves forward, subgenres rise and start to create their own distinctive sounds, and this is where rap begins to split. A very popular subgenre that has blown up over the course of a decade is called Trap. Recently Trap music has made huge waves in the music industry, this style of music is everywhere! it is hard to escape, but recently there has been a great deal of talk going around that Trap music is way better than rap but this is where the disagreement comes into place. Once you compare all the facts and key points about what makes a genre better than the other, Rap is miles ahead of Trap music in every way possible and any avid music listener will and can tell you this. When listening to music, often times the listener would want the song or album to relate in some way. Knowing that a specific artist has the same problem or is going through the same predicament makes it more special and establishes a connection between the listener and the artist, but when there is no message, it is just words ... • 40. Edgar Allen Poe s Tales Of Terror And The Raven Essay Edgar Allen Poe s Tales of Terror and The Raven The film of chosen I decided upon was Edgar Allen Poe s Tales of Terror, and the reading I choose was Edgar Allen Poe s famous The Raven. Both the film and the writing included a common theme of death and tragedy. The film was separated into three different tales, while all three tales had a very different story line they all included the common theme I stated above. In the film, I also concluded that for each action there was a reaction, meaning each bad deed done there was a repercussion to the action. In the Poem, The Raven it also includes death and the sorrow and the human s need to self torture. Edgar Allen Poe s ability to capture his readers into his dark imagination of horror and mystery is one that will forever be famous for. In the first Tales of Terror Morella was a story about a father and daughter whose relationship was compromised, as she was being blamed of the cause of death of her mother. The Daughter Lenora returns to her father s house after twenty six years of being away. Her father Locke isn t welcoming to her returning as he still holds resentment to her for the death of his wife from giving birth. Lenora comes across the corpse of her mother and startled, Locke states he could not manage with the thought of burying her six feet under. When your mother died I then died as well her father states. You can see the hurt the Locke holds inside of him without having his beloved wife with him. When ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I love being educated and being civilized. Huckleberry Finn, on the other hand, hates the idea of both education and being sivilized . Huckleberry is witty, but not educated the way the Widow thinks he should be. The stiff, uncomfortable clothes the widow makes him wear cause him to sweat and sweat, and feel all cramped up. They seem to be of direct relevance to each other, whereas upon closer inspection, To His Coy Mistress does not attempt to express any emotion at all. Instead, THCM is ultimately physical and portrays a man s desperation and lust, The persona of THCM has written this poem as a persuasion technique, with the addressee being his current girlfriend while the speaker from Remember appears to be leaving a message to her soul mate. In contrast THCM is very graphic and tries to fill the readers mind with violent and gruesome images. Some examples of this are Then worms shall try that long preserved virginity , The grave s a fine and private place, But none, I think, do there embrace , Tear our pleasures with rough strife . Both poems contain a lot of metaphorical content, but again the alignment differs. In Remember the speaker uses metaphorical devices to soften the message that she is bringing across ( Gone far away into the silent land ) whereas in THCM the speaker uses metaphors to try and hide his sarcasm and infidelity ( Thy beauty shall no more be found; Nor, in thy marble vault, shall sound My echoing song ). Both poems share a small part of irony. In Remember the persona is almost commanding the addressee to remember her, but then saying it s alright if he forgets. The other contradiction of this poem is that she says it s alright if he forgets her, but by writing a poem, she immortalised her existence. Theorist Theory Description Characteristics of the Theory Process Application of Learning Mechanisms of Change Reaction when theory is applied Basic Observation Outcomes Bandura (1977) Social Learning Theory: Albert Bandura s Social Learning Theory believes that learning occurs in a social context through observation, imitation, and direct instruction. It comprises of attention, retention, reproduction, and motivation. *Attention *Retention *Reproduction *Motivation *Attention this implies that to accurately learn by observation, a person must pay attention to the person doing the modeling and should steer away from any possible distraction. *Retention this is a poignant part of the social learning process as the behavior may have been observed, but it is not always remembered which thus prevents imitation or mimicry (McLeod, 2006). *Reproduction this is the process where the student practices the recently learned behavior, and it is majorly dependent on the physical capabilities of the observer to reproduce the behavior. *Motivation a person has to value the benefit of continuously performing the action. Therefore, this development is often driven by positive reinforcement for demonstrating the behavior correctly or punishment for applying the behavior inappropriately (Sincero, 2011). Bandura s Social Learning Theory has been used to understand the behavior of children in a social setting. For example, a new student who observes how his/her peers ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
