Hi everyone! This past weekend I had the pleasure of attending The North Texas
Teen Book Festical in Irving, TX. It was so much fun, and honestly it was one of
the best weekends of my life. This post is just an overview of some pictures and the

Friday
Friday was educator s day, but they had an author luncheon that was open to the
public. The authors at the luncheon were Sarah Dessen, Ruta Sepetys, and E.
Lockhart. I met up with my friend, Avery, to go to the event. As we were sitting in
the lobby, we saw Marie Lu walk in and I started freaking out. I wanted to go and ask
for a picture, but I was too shy to go up to her. We went inside and sat at a table
close to the front (closest to the reserve author table).
As we were sitting there, I look in the corner and Ruta Sepetys (AKA ONE OF MY
FAVORITE AUTHORS) is standing in the corner. Avery and I went over to talk to
Ruta, and she was absolutely adorable. If you ever have the chance to meet Ruta,
please seize your opportunity because she s absolutely brilliant. Avery and I got a

and I discussed which sections we would each cover, splitting the assignment in

Consequently, that was the extent of our communicationsince I did not hear from him
until the day of class when we were doing our presentation. In my mind, for all, I
knew he didn t even do his portion of the presentation, and I expected constant
communication while working on the project. Apparently, he felt that no
communication was appropriate, however, I felt nervous and uncomfortable.
Anyhow, I arrived at class and handed him my thumb drive with my portion of the
presentation. I told him we need to exchange numbers, and emails so when we
work on our other presentations that we can communicate and aid each other. I
explained to him that all weekend I had worried that he did not do his portion of
the project since I had no contact or communication with him at all. He replied why

President Abraham Lincoln gave the Gettysburg Address on November 1863 at the
site of the bloodiest and most decisive battle of the American Civil War in
Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The address attempted to give meaning and purpose to the

The fact that only one out of every two executives of Croatia and Slovenia listed
companies has a theoretical knowledge of IFRS which implies that auditing firms
have been involved at least in training programs to Croatia and Slovenian listed
companies in the transition period to IFRS. This study is justified in a different
context than other studies. It is justified in the framework of IFRS and, in particular,
three years after their adoption. IFRS were effective since 2005 and the date of audit
opinions are dated in 2007.The contribution of this study is that it provides
evidence from the Zagreb Stock Exchange and Slovenia Stock Exchange listed
companies is characterized by a stakeholder (debfholder) orientation which stands in
a transition. Note that the debt to equity ratio of Zagreb Stock Exchange and
Slovenia Stock Exchange listed companies in a time horizon of four and a half
decades stands on average to 1.24 (minimum) in 2004 and 3.068 (maximum) in 1984
(with outliers excluded). The structure of the paper is presented as follows: Section 2
discusses the review of the literature. Section 3 describes the research design. Section
4 presents the empirical analysis and results. Section 5 concludes with suggestions for
further future research.
