The Macquarie ICT Innovations Centre (MacICT) is located at Macquarie University, Sydney, Australia. It is a collaborative agreement between the NSW Department of Education (DET) and Macquarie University which provides the opportunity for NSW DET schools access to the use of innovative technologies in teaching and learning. This slide share provides an overview of what our Centre is doing in this area.

MacICT Bee-Bots at MacICT 2010
Project Outcomes The Bee-Bot is an exciting programmable floor robot for the beginner learner and serves as an effective way to introduce students to programming, cause and effect, directional control, estimation, problem solving and basic angles. What are Bee-Bots?
Project Outcomes Bee-Bots are a cross-curriculum tool for learning. They encourage the acquisition and consolidation of literacy and numeracy in younger students who are actively engaged whilst exploring the capability of these simple robots in various problem-solving contexts. How can Bee-Bots be used?
Project Outcomes Teachers use online spaces to share student learning with Bee-Bots. Project Focus:
