Funds remitted to BJMP/BFP by the PNP as
part of the net proceeds of the PNP from the
collection of Firearm License Fees as provided
under RA 6963
TO WHOM THIS BENEFIT IS EXTENDED?
to any one dependent of BJMP/BFP uniformed
personnel in active service who have died or were
permanently incapacitated in line of duty
WHO ARE THE FAMILY DEPENDENTS?
•Surviving legal spouse who does not contract a
subsequent marriage
•Unmarried legitimate, legitimated or adopted
children below 21 years of age, unemployed and
wholly dependent
WHO ARE THE FAMILY DEPENDENTS?
•Unmarried and below 21 years of age brothers
and sisters of the deceased or permanently
incapacitated BFP personnel.
HOW LONG IS THE SCHOLARSHIP
PRIVILEGE BE ENJOYED ?
NOT EXCEEDING TEN (10) years
APPLICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
Scholarship shall be limited to Elementary,
High School, Vocational and Collegiate courses in
a non-exclusive institution.
APPLICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP
Collegiate course – refers to any course of a
five-year duration or less leading to a
baccalaureate degree.
YES. It is transferrable to any of the family
dependents of BJMP/BFP uniformed personnel at
the option of the BJMP/BFP uniformed personnel
grantee or next of kin.
IS THE SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT
TRANSFERABLE ?
Not exceeding
₱ 9,000.00 for Elementary
₱ 12,000.00 for High School
₱ 10,000.00 per sem for Vocational
₱ 15,000.00 per sem for College
TUITION FEE
1. MONTHLY STIPEND OF NOT MORE THAN:
a. ₱ 500.00 for elementary scholars (₱ 5,000.00/S.Y.)
b. ₱ 1,000.00 for high school scholars (₱ 10,000/S.Y.)
c.₱1,500.00 for vocational and college scholars (₱ 7,500/sem)
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS
2. ANNUAL BOOK ALLOWANCE OF NOT MORE THAN:
a. ₱ 2,000.00 for elementary scholars
b. ₱ 2,500.00 for high school scholars
c. ₱ 4,000.00 or 2,000.00 per sem. for vocational and
college scholars
ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS
3. THESIS WRITING ALLOWANCE
-not more than ₱ 10,000.00 for college scholars
4. Miscellaneous Allowance
- not more than ₱ 10,000.00 for college scholars

scholarship grants within the prescribed time.

GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF
SCHOLARSHIP
If the scholar has:
1. Submitted report of ratings,
assessment of fees, official receipts and other
school documents that are forged, falsified, or
tampered.

If the scholar has:
2. submitted family record/documents which are
forged, falsified or tampered.
3. knowingly and willingly made a false entry in
the Application Form and other documents required
to be filled out by the BFP Scholarship Program.

If the scholar has:
4. deferred schooling without justifiable
reason for a period of one (1) school year for
elem. and high school scholars and one (1)
semester for vocational and college scholars.

If the scholar has:
5. shifted course after his/her second year
without justifiable reason and without the consent of
the BFP Scholarship Program Ad Hoc Committee
and he has already received scholarship grant on
his/her first year of the course from which he/she has
shifted from.

If the scholar has:
6. has not been able to pass the subject
that he/she failed, dropped or rendered
incomplete during the second year or
semester required of him/her to pass such
subject.

7. not been able to pass all the subjects on the
school year or semester on which he/she has
deferred schooling during the school year or
semester required of him to pass such subjects.
WHAT IS THE TIME GIVEN TO PASS THE
SUBJECT FAILED/PASSED/DROPPED ?
College scholars are given only one (1)
semester to pass the subject that he/she failed,
passed or dropped.
Elem. and HS scholars are given one (1)
school year.
EFFECT WHEN A SCHOLAR FAILED TO PASS
THE SUBJECT FAILED/PASSED/DROPPED ?
It shall be a ground for
termination of the scholarship
privilege.

INSTANCES FOR REINSTATEMENT OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE
1. The scholar passed the subject that he/she
failed, dropped or rendered incomplete at his/her
own expense on the school year required of
him/her to pass the subject.

SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE
2. In cases of deferred schooling after
receiving the scholarship grant and the scholar
passed all the subjects at his/her own expense
during the school year or semester he/she is
required to pass…
IS THE REINSTATEMENT AUTOMATIC ?
No. The scholar shall send a WRITTEN
REQUEST to the BFP Scholarship Program Ad
Hoc Committee.
IS THE BFP SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE
TRANSFERRABLE ?
Yes. It is transferrable to any qualified sibling
provided, only one at a time should enjoy the
scholarship privilege.
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE?
1. The transferor should have GRADUATED
in elementary, high school or college before the
scholarship privilege could be transferred to a
qualified sibling.
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE?
2. A transfer may be made even if the transferor
has not yet graduated
- if there are several qualified sibling in the
family
- the purpose to maximize the 10-year period
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE?
Provided, that the transferor has NO FAILED,
DROPPED or INCOMPLETE subject during the
semester or school year immediately preceding
the transfer.
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE?
3. The transferee should attach the Diploma
and the Official Transcript of Records of the
transferor to the application for scholarship
WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF
SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE?
4. No scholarship privilege can be transferred if the
transferor has a suspended scholarship privilege.
-transferor has to comply with the requirements for
the lifting of the suspension of scholarship privilege for
the issuance of a resolution reinstating the scholarship
privilege.

  • 2. SCHOLARSHIP FUND Funds remitted to BJMP/BFP by the PNP as part of the net proceeds of the PNP from the collection of Firearm License Fees as provided under RA 6963
  • 3. TO WHOM THIS BENEFIT IS EXTENDED? to any one dependent of BJMP/BFP uniformed personnel in active service who have died or were permanently incapacitated in line of duty
  • 4. WHO ARE THE FAMILY DEPENDENTS? •Surviving legal spouse who does not contract a subsequent marriage •Unmarried legitimate, legitimated or adopted children below 21 years of age, unemployed and wholly dependent
  • 5. WHO ARE THE FAMILY DEPENDENTS? •Unmarried and below 21 years of age brothers and sisters of the deceased or permanently incapacitated BFP personnel.
  • 6. HOW LONG IS THE SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE BE ENJOYED ? NOT EXCEEDING TEN (10) years
  • 7. APPLICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP Scholarship shall be limited to Elementary, High School, Vocational and Collegiate courses in a non-exclusive institution.
  • 8. APPLICATION OF SCHOLARSHIP Collegiate course – refers to any course of a five-year duration or less leading to a baccalaureate degree.
  • 9. YES. It is transferrable to any of the family dependents of BJMP/BFP uniformed personnel at the option of the BJMP/BFP uniformed personnel grantee or next of kin. IS THE SCHOLARSHIP BENEFIT TRANSFERABLE ?
  • 10. Not exceeding ₱ 9,000.00 for Elementary ₱ 12,000.00 for High School ₱ 10,000.00 per sem for Vocational ₱ 15,000.00 per sem for College TUITION FEE
  • 11. 1. MONTHLY STIPEND OF NOT MORE THAN: a. ₱ 500.00 for elementary scholars (₱ 5,000.00/S.Y.) b. ₱ 1,000.00 for high school scholars (₱ 10,000/S.Y.) c.₱1,500.00 for vocational and college scholars (₱ 7,500/sem) ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS
  • 12. 2. ANNUAL BOOK ALLOWANCE OF NOT MORE THAN: a. ₱ 2,000.00 for elementary scholars b. ₱ 2,500.00 for high school scholars c. ₱ 4,000.00 or 2,000.00 per sem. for vocational and college scholars ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS
  • 13. 3. THESIS WRITING ALLOWANCE -not more than ₱ 10,000.00 for college scholars 4. Miscellaneous Allowance - not more than ₱ 10,000.00 for college scholars ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS

  • 16. 5. Graduation Allowance of: c. College Scholars 1) ₱ 8,000.00 for Summa Cum Laude 2) ₱ 5,000.00 for Magna Cum Laude 3) ₱ 3,000.00 for 1st Honorable Mention or 3rd Honor ADDITIONAL BENEFITS FOR BFP SCHOLARS
  • 17. The amount covered shall be for two (2) semesters only in a school year. IN CASE OF COLLEGE SCHOLARS WHOSE CURRICULUM IS ON A TRIMESTER SYSTEM
  • 18. No. IS SUMMER CLASSES COVERED BY THE BOOK ALLOWANCE AND MONTHLY STIPEND?
  • 19. Grantees scholars are encouraged to study in schools, preferably state colleges or universities, in their respective provinces or regions. If not possible, within the nearest region where the courses are available. VENUE OF THE STUDY
  • 20. 1. If the scholar has shifted course without obtaining consent from the BFP Scholarship Program Ad Hoc Committee 2. The scholar has incurred at least one (1) failed grade for the school year GROUNDS FOR SUSPENSION OF SCHOLARSHIP GRANTS

  • 26. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 1. Submitted report of ratings, assessment of fees, official receipts and other school documents that are forged, falsified, or tampered.
  • 27. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 2. submitted family record/documents which are forged, falsified or tampered. 3. knowingly and willingly made a false entry in the Application Form and other documents required to be filled out by the BFP Scholarship Program.
  • 28. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 4. deferred schooling without justifiable reason for a period of one (1) school year for elem. and high school scholars and one (1) semester for vocational and college scholars.
  • 29. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 5. shifted course after his/her second year without justifiable reason and without the consent of the BFP Scholarship Program Ad Hoc Committee and he has already received scholarship grant on his/her first year of the course from which he/she has shifted from.
  • 30. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 6. has not been able to pass the subject that he/she failed, dropped or rendered incomplete during the second year or semester required of him/her to pass such subject.
  • 31. GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION OF SCHOLARSHIP If the scholar has: 7. not been able to pass all the subjects on the school year or semester on which he/she has deferred schooling during the school year or semester required of him to pass such subjects.
  • 32. WHAT IS THE TIME GIVEN TO PASS THE SUBJECT FAILED/PASSED/DROPPED ? College scholars are given only one (1) semester to pass the subject that he/she failed, passed or dropped. Elem. and HS scholars are given one (1) school year.
  • 33. EFFECT WHEN A SCHOLAR FAILED TO PASS THE SUBJECT FAILED/PASSED/DROPPED ? It shall be a ground for termination of the scholarship privilege.

  • 36. INSTANCES FOR REINSTATEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE 1. The scholar passed the subject that he/she failed, dropped or rendered incomplete at his/her own expense on the school year required of him/her to pass the subject.
  • 37. INSTANCES FOR REINSTATEMENT OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE 2. In cases of deferred schooling after receiving the scholarship grant and the scholar passed all the subjects at his/her own expense during the school year or semester he/she is required to pass…
  • 38. IS THE REINSTATEMENT AUTOMATIC ? No. The scholar shall send a WRITTEN REQUEST to the BFP Scholarship Program Ad Hoc Committee.
  • 39. IS THE BFP SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE TRANSFERRABLE ? Yes. It is transferrable to any qualified sibling provided, only one at a time should enjoy the scholarship privilege.
  • 40. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE? 1. The transferor should have GRADUATED in elementary, high school or college before the scholarship privilege could be transferred to a qualified sibling.
  • 41. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE? 2. A transfer may be made even if the transferor has not yet graduated - if there are several qualified sibling in the family - the purpose to maximize the 10-year period
  • 42. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE? Provided, that the transferor has NO FAILED, DROPPED or INCOMPLETE subject during the semester or school year immediately preceding the transfer.
  • 43. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE? 3. The transferee should attach the Diploma and the Official Transcript of Records of the transferor to the application for scholarship
  • 44. WHAT ARE THE RULES ON THE TRANSFER OF SCHOLARSHIP PRIVILEGE? 4. No scholarship privilege can be transferred if the transferor has a suspended scholarship privilege. -transferor has to comply with the requirements for the lifting of the suspension of scholarship privilege for the issuance of a resolution reinstating the scholarship privilege.
