This document describes the design of an automated medicine dispenser using IoT technology. The dispenser is intended to dispense medication to patients, especially COVID patients, without direct human contact. It uses an RFID reader to identify patients and a motorized disc mechanism to dispense the correct medications into a collection area based on each patient's prescription details stored in the microcontroller's memory. The dispenser is controlled using an Arduino board and sensors ensure accurate dispensing. It is proposed that such a dispenser could help limit spread of disease in hospitals by allowing patients to receive medications without nurse assistance.
