The surveys collected information from 14-20 year olds, mostly male and from lower social classes E and D. They enjoyed a variety of conceptual, narrative, and performance-based music videos from bands like Slipknot, Avenged Sevenfold, and Rise Against. Respondents had seen live performances from these bands and others at rock festivals. The most memorable videos for their creativity or messages, like "Make It Stop" by Rise Against addressing school bullying. Videos were first viewed on television music channels like Kerrang! and Scuzz or online platforms like YouTube.

10. Survey Results
From the results on the filled out surveys the majority of people are male but
not by far and they range from 14-20 years of age, mainly E class as they are
in education and unemployed but a few in the D class. They liked a range of
types of the three music video types some all three. They like a range of
videos from other bands of other rock sub-genres and they like them for
reasons like it’s different, funny or just plain exciting. The subjects have seen a
range of bands live and been to festivals like Download and Bloodstock. They
view their videos on Kerrang! TV, Scuzz TV and YouTube as well as purchasing
them on Itunes to go on their IPod.
