I did some primary research into the
audience of my music magazine in which I
gained information from twelve students
aged 11 – 20. I did this with the use of
Google Forms where I created an online
survey.

My magazine will feature Hip Hop, Rap and Grime. Based on the information I
have gained I can see that Grime is the most trending in all genres, followed by
Rap and Hip Hop sits among many as being generally popular. This will benefit
me because it means that I have a large audience for the genres my magazine
featured already and mean therefore that my magazine should be successful.

It is clear that the way in which music is consumed is generally through
streaming. This information has allowed me to decide on some of the
competitions and giveaways I offer, with streaming memberships likely to be
my main feature.

I can see above that my audience rarely purchase music magazines. As a
result this could have a negative impact on the success of my magazine due to
the lack of interest in such items.

information about new music, I will include the charts in my magazine in order
to keep the audience up to date on trending music.
