1. Case Study (150 points) . Please submit this assignment by 11:59 PM on Sunday June
21st. There is also a template available under the Syllabus and Supplemental Materials
folder from the Course Homepage.
You will review a case study based upon real employment situations and answer case
study questions relevant to the case. The case study should be 3-5 pages (12 point font,
double-spaced) in length. The case studies and the case study questions will be posted in
Blackboard. You will have the opportunity to select which case study you would like to
work on. In your 3-5 page paper, you will want to include the following:
• Brief introduction to the problem (introduction paragraph that lists the main HR
theme(s) related to this case)
• Synopsis of the case (one to two paragraph summary of the important issues and events
involved in this case)
• Written explanation of your answer to the case questions (the discussion questions listed
at the end of the case)
• Any additional thoughts, questions, conclusions that you have considered (what else is
important about this case)
• How this is connected to HRD roles in the organization (which HR departments might
be involved in this case, what issues would they face, would any HR policies or practices
need to be revised, etc.)
