What is your gender?
The majority of the people that I asked this question to were female, this helped to
distinguish the reactions to my magazines dependant on gender. It also helps me
to see how both genders interpreted my magazine.
How old are you?
The options for this question included 10-14, 15-19 and 20+ this was intended to
see how many people within my target audience liked or disliked my product. All of
the people who answered my questionnaire were between the ages of 15 and 19
which placed them in my target audience. This means that all of the questionnaire
answers will reflect my target audience.
Would you buy this magazine?
This question was designed to see if my audience would purchase my magazine,
the overall result of this indicated that my audience would gladly purchase my
magazine apart from one person who said ‘no’ when they were asked. This shows
that my product does appeal to my audience.
What do you believe is the strongest aspect of my front cover?
This question was intended to help me understand what my audience liked about
my front cover. The response I received was a mixture between all of the options
that I had offered as answered (apart from coverlines). This shows me that my
weakest aspect was my coverlines while my main image was the strongest.
What do you believe is the strongest aspect of my contents page?
The options for this question included images, title, layout and style, this would
help me to see what the my audience thought was the best aspect within my
magazine. The results of this question was that my audience once again thought
that my images were the strongest aspect, however the other aspects were also
enjoyed by my audience.
What do you believe is the strongest aspect of my DPS?
This question helped to indicate what my audience thought was the best part of
my double page spread, the options for this question included main image, title,
layout, colours, and drop quotes. Once I collected my questionnaires the results
showed that my audience thought my main image was my strongest aspect while
my title and layout were a joint second. This shows me that my audience believed
that the images were appropriate for the magazine and was eye catching.
Do you believe that my magazine suits the rock genre?
The options for this question were simply ‘yes’ or ‘no’. After I collected the
questionnaires the result of this question was ‘yes’ from everyone who
participated, this indicates that my audience believed that my product fitted in with
the genre and represented it well.
Did my layout seem professional?
This was intended to show if my products layout seemed professional to my target
audience, this will also determine whether my product seemed alike to pre-existing
products. The overall result showed that everyone thought that my layout was
professional which shows that using pre-existing magazines as influence allowed
my product to appear professional.
Did my images seem professional?
This question was designed to help determine the quality of my images and
whether they seemed to pass as professional. Every participant of this
questionnaire responded with yes to this question which shows that my images
appeared to be at a professional standard.
What was your favourite page in my magazine?
This was my final question and was designed to show what my audience believed
was the best page within my product, this would help me to see what type of
features that my audience enjoy most. The overall result showed that my DPS
was the most popular page with my contents page being second best.
