3. Read and listen to the text on the right. What problem does Sarah have?
4. Complete the dialogue with phrases from the previous exercise:
Doctor: Come in. Take a seat.
Patient: Thank you.

Patient: (2)______________________. It’s my back.
Doctor: (3)________________________.
Patient: Here and here.
Doctor: OK. (4)_________________. Take off

5. Now work in pairs and role play this situation.
Use the expressions in exercise 2

 You are the doctor. Ask the patient questions
about how he/she is feeling and suggest what
he/she should do.

Sarah: Just a couple of aspirins.
Doctor: All right. I’ll give you a
prescription. Take these
pills three times a day
and come back here
next week.
Sarah: OK. Thank you, doctor.

Have you taken anything for it? Sarah: Just a couple of aspirins. Doctor: All right. I’ll give you a prescription. Take these pills three times a day and come back here next week. Sarah: OK. Thank you, doctor.
