Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.
A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

ASSURE Method Assignment
A- Analyze the Learners:
My students consist of a group of seventeen Special Education first graders,
seven, of which, have Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD). There are
ten boys and seven girls overall in my class. The entire room consists of seventy
percent Caucasian, twenty percent African-American, and ten percent Hispanic. It
will be difficult to determine what the learning styles of these students will be
because of their learning disabilities. ADHD usually causes a student to become
bored with one lesson in a short amount of time, so moving from one lesson to the
next would be best. Also, having multiple learning materials ready would be best
advised.
S- State the Objective:
Audience:
-My students
Behavior:
-Will recite and categorize each of the twelve months in a year
Conditions:
-By using calendars, birthdays, charts and graphs, guided games, songs,
seasonal coloring sheets, and a comprehensive oral quiz on the last day
-In four days
Degree:
-At 100% accuracy
S- Select the Method, Media, and Materials:
Method:
-
A large group lecture and hands on class would probably be best for
these students so they have a better “student/teacher” interaction with
me, instead of attempting to learn off of each other.
Media:
-
I believe that a Power Point would be best because it is a program that
allows me to use pictures, words, videos, and music to help me explain
the months to these Special Education students.
Materials:
- I will be using store bought materials like paper, markers, crayons and
other art materials to do the worksheets. I will also be purchasing a
calendar to point out the months. Everything else can be utilized on the
computer.
2. U-Utilize the Media and Materials
To make sure everything went as planned for my class, the next four days of
learning, I would make sure that I had everything set out on the tables that were
needed for the worksheets and coloring pages. I would also make sure to place the
calendar and the charts on the walls to wear each and every student could see.
Next, I would make sure that my Power Point was exactly how it needed to be.
Maybe even go through, read and revise each of my slides. I would make sure that
each and every source of media and every material was in perfect condition.
When starting class with my students, I would ask, as a group, how many months
can each student name, and then ask to put what they know in order. I would start
with the calendar most likely, just to get the most obvious and outright, easiest
part of the learning experience out of the way. At the end of the lesson, I would
most likely go back to the calendar. After the calendar, I would probably start
with the song to get them all excited to learn and so they have something to go by,
that may be easy to remember, when we start learning intensively into the lesson.
Finally, start the major part of the lesson with the power point containing visual
and audio lessons.
R-Require Learner Participation
For my students, I will get each of them interested by introducing the topic of the
months of the year by the students listing where their birthday lies. After everyone
is done announcing their birthdays and in the months, I will ask each of them to
line up in order from the earliest birthday, to the last. This is a good way to
engage the students in the topic and get their blood flowing and excited to learn.
With all of these students having learning handicaps, allowing them to be hands
on with the topic will allow them to run off some energy. Also, this forces the
students to interact with each other. After lining up, I will ask each student, in
line, how many of the months they can recite in order. Those who get all twelve
months will receive a reward, those who do not will receive a smaller reward
when finished with the introduction so they do not feel excluded from the class or
topic.
E-Evaluate and Revise
As far as evaluation goes with my students, I will randomly ask each of them
questions throughout the day how many of the months they know, if they do not, I
will ask them to ask their neighbor for help. This will go on for the entire class
throughout the week so they continuously have to think about what is going on in
the class. This technique also encourages studying of the topic through the lessons
in class. In a Special Education classroom, rewards are a good way to also
encourage learning. I would also, make it an effort to randomly quiz these
students, on the months, if I saw them in the hallway. Doing this also creates a
stronger bond between the teacher and the students because students, at these age,
enjoy the one on one interaction from teachers and enjoy learning the topic if they
like the person who is teaching it.
