This document discusses several methods for assessing affective outcomes: 1) Forced-choice selection methods require examinees to choose between options that differ in content rather than intensity. This minimizes subjectivity and is less susceptible to faking. 2) Likert scales use a rating scale (often 5 points) for examinees to indicate their level of agreement with statements.
