Assignment 1
Appropriate use policy on ICT devices
• Your learners use ICT devices such as computers,
mobile phones, iPods, tablets and game consoles. They
access the Internet and make use of social networking
sites. However, there are acceptable and unacceptable
ways of using them.
• To help your fellow teachers and the learners know
about the acceptable ways of using ICTs, create an
Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for your school, addressing
issues such as:
ICT devices available to learners;
the expected behaviour of learners in the process of
using such devices; and
their rights and responsibilities as users.
• Find an example of AUP online

• Do research on your learners to find out the
type of ICTs that they use and have access to.
• The create a digital citizenship poster for your
learners, incorporating:
Characteristics of a digital citizen
The habits that a good digital citizen should avoid
The good habits of a digital citizen
• Use the poster sample on next slide as an
example
Assignment 3
Copyright booklet
• Design a booklet to teach your learners issues
surrounding copyright, particularly when they use
online and other ICT resources. Your booklet
should address the following:
definition of copyright and explanation of its necessity;
examples of copyright products;
illustrations of examples of copyright infringements;
discussion of possible consequences of copyright
infringements; and
guidelines on how to avoid copyright infringement,
including ways to properly cite any text or graphics that
are used.

  • 3. Assignment 1 Appropriate use policy on ICT devices • Your learners use ICT devices such as computers, mobile phones, iPods, tablets and game consoles. They access the Internet and make use of social networking sites. However, there are acceptable and unacceptable ways of using them. • To help your fellow teachers and the learners know about the acceptable ways of using ICTs, create an Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) for your school, addressing issues such as: ICT devices available to learners; the expected behaviour of learners in the process of using such devices; and their rights and responsibilities as users. • Find an example of AUP online

Assignment 2 Digital citizenship poster • Do research on your learners to find out the type of ICTs that they use and have access to. • The create a digital citizenship poster for your learners, incorporating: Characteristics of a digital citizen The habits that a good digital citizen should avoid The good habits of a digital citizen • Use the poster sample on next slide as an example

  • 6. Assignment 3 Copyright booklet • Design a booklet to teach your learners issues surrounding copyright, particularly when they use online and other ICT resources. Your booklet should address the following: definition of copyright and explanation of its necessity; examples of copyright products; illustrations of examples of copyright infringements; discussion of possible consequences of copyright infringements; and guidelines on how to avoid copyright infringement, including ways to properly cite any text or graphics that are used.
