IV. PROCEDURES
These steps should be done across the week. Spread out the activities appropriately so that students will learn well.
Always be guided by demonstration of learning by the students which you can infer from formative assessment
activities. Sustain learning systematically by providing students with multiple ways to learn new things, practice their
learning, question their learning processes, and draw conclusions about what they learned in relation to their life
experiences and previous knowledge. Indicate the time allotment for each step.

DISCUSSION OF KEY CONCEPTS
COPYRIGHT - a legal device that gives
the creator of a literary, artistic, musical,
or other creative work the sole right to
publish and sell that work. Copyright
owners have the right to control the
reproduction of their work, including the
right to receive payment for that
reproduction. An author may grant or
sell those rights to others, including
publishers or recording companies.
Violation of a copyright is called
infringement.
PLAGIARISM - an act or instance of using
or closely imitating the language and
thoughts of another author without
authorization; the representation of that
author's work as one's own, as by not
crediting the original author.
The teacher shows examples and media
applications that will help the learners
understand more about copyright and
plagiarism.

F. Developing mastery
CASE STUDIES
Have the learners divide into 3 groups. Each group will randomly select an issue to
discuss. The groups will be given 20 minutes to do their task. Each group will take turns
in reporting and will be given 3 minutes to report. Suggested issues of using unguarded
internet:
• Copyright and Plagiarism
• Cyber Bullying
• Computer addiction
Present the mechanics to the learners:
• Each group chooses a case under your supervision. The task is to answer questions from
a given topic/case, and then present them to the class.
• Each group should elect the following: leader, secretary, and presenters.
• Time limit for discussion is 20 minutes while presentation is 2-3 minutes.
• During the discussion, the video assigned to the class will be played and the
questions will be flashed on screen. The reporter will then provide their answers to
the questions.
