2. This will be the first costume choice which I will use in my video, here I
want to present my female artist to be this young happy beautiful
teenage girl. To create this image I will dress my artist in her going out
clothes whilst she gets ready to go on a girls night out, I will film the
scene of her getting ready putting on her red lipstick and eyelashes to
create an image of how happy she is. It will have shot reverse shots of
her ‘lover’ coming to see her being loved up – he will be dressed in
smart/cajual clothing as he is off out too that night. Throughout the use
of clothing I'm presenting what both my characters are doing as it is
evident both are going out for a good night with their friends. I have
been influenced to dress my artists like this from the video, such as,
Christina Agularia – Aint no other man and Britney Spears – Circus.
3. My artists will change outfits throughout my music video, this will be the
outfit during the middle and end of the video. This is the most important
section to my video as it presents the storyline which I'm trying to convey of
how this boy changes his girlfriend to be the complete opposite to what she
normally is.
My artist in this scene will be dressed to represent the emotion in which I am
trying to convey in my video, by this I want my artist to be dressed in clothing
which you wouldn’t expect a teenage girl to dress like, by this my artist will
wear all black clothing as this colour connotates depressesion, anger and a
dark side. My artist will have un-brushed hair and dark gloomy make up to
present that she has been crying heavily and her make up has ran down her
face to create this ‘emotional feel’. This will connotate and suggest to the
audience an upset troubled girl that I'm trying to convey. Music videos which
are trying to present this message also tend to dress similarly too, such as,
the music video A Team, Ed Sheeran.
The boy in my video who will be ‘the lover’ who broke my female artists heart
will be dressed smug and confident as if he doesn't care, by this I want my
male artist dressed as if he is going out on a night out about to have fun not
giving a care in the world, I gathered this idea from the music video ‘I'm not
the only one’ by Sam Smith.
4. MAKE UP FOR ARTIST
The first scene of the video I want my artist to have very heavy make
up, bright red lips and vibrant eye shadow to present an image of
glamour and happiness. By this my video will be able to present that
she takes good care off herself and takes pride in the way she looks.
The change in my video where my artist becomes depressed after the
heartbreak of her ‘lover’ my artists make up and appearance will
change drastically to wearing nothing but remainders of her eye make
which has smudged from heavily crying.
