Future of AI
Conclusion
 The study of computer systems that attempt to
model and apply the intelligence
of the human mind.
 A branch of computer science dealing with the
simulation of intelligent behavior in
computers.
 The capability of a machine to imitate intelligent
human behavior.
What is artificial intelligence ??
The overall research goal of artificial intelligence is
to create technology that allows computers and
machines to function in an intelligent manner. The
general problem of simulating (or creating)
intelligence has been broken down into sub-
problems.
Early researchers developed algorithms that imitated
step-by-step reasoning that humans use when they
solve puzzles or make logical deductions. By the late
1980s and 1990s, AI research had developed methods
for dealing with uncertain or incomplete
information, employing concepts from probability
and economics.
GOAL OF AI :
Robotics
Medical
Video games
Expert System
Natural Language
Speech Reconization
Computer Vision
APPLICATIONS-
 A application that allows to the computer to learn from its
environment
 Eg. Smart Cars, self-parking cars can parallel park themselves
with out hitting any other objects around it.
Expert Systems-
11
 Diagnostic programs
 Doctors input the
symptoms of the patience
and the AI helps decide
what medications are best.
 Disease symptoms
 Medical history
 Test results of a patient
Medical-
Google’s AI-Powered Predictions-
Google Maps (Maps) can analyze the speed of
movement of traffic at any given time. And, with
its acquisition of crowd sourced traffic app ,Maps
can more easily incorporate user-reported traffic
incidents like construction and accidents. Access
to vast amounts of data being fed to its
proprietary algorithms means Maps can reduce
commutes by suggesting the fastest routes to and
from work.
Alexa-
Developed by Amazon, Alexa is a VPA (VIRTUAL
PERSONAL ASSISTANTS) made popular by the Amazon
Each and the Amazon Echo Dot. It was released in 2014
and allows you can interact with it simply by speaking
it. Alexa is capable of the following:
 Playing music
 Creating to-do lists
 Setting alarms
 Streaming podcasts
 Playing audio books
 Providing weather updates and other real time
information such as the news.
Face Recognition-
When you upload photos to Facebook, the service
automatically highlights faces and suggests friends
to tag. How can it instantly identify which of your
friends is in the photo? Facebook uses AI to
recognize faces. Facebook discusses the use of
artificial neural networks—ML algorithms that
mimic the structure of the human brain—to power
facial recognition software.
CHATBOTS
Historically, chatbots offered answers to simplistic questions,
most of this was achieved by identifying specific keywords.
Advancements in Natural Language Processing and machine
learning allow chatbots understand the semantic orientation
of each word in a sentence and derive true meaning. Doing
this allows the chatbot to create some context of what a
customer is talking about and ask relevant questions or
provide solutions to customer queries.
Facebook shuts off AI experiment after two robots
begin speaking in their OWN language only they
can understand - 31 July 2017
Facebook abandoned an experiment after two artificially intelligent
programs appeared to be chatting to each other in a strange language
only they understood.
The two chatbots came to create their own changes to English that
made it easier for them to work – but which remained mysterious to the
humans that supposedly look after them.
The bizarre discussions came as Facebook challenged its chatbots to try
and negotiate with each other over a trade, attempting to swap hats,
balls and books, each of which were given a certain value. But they
quickly broke down as the robots appeared to chant at each other in a
language that they each understood but which appears mostly
incomprehensible to humans.
The company chose to shut down the chats because "our interest was
having bots who could talk to people", researcher Mike Lewis told
FastCo.
FUTURE
The day is not far when you will just sit back and just
command your personal Robot's to entirely do your stuffs .
He will be a perfect companion for you.
It may end in other way too. Some day there will be a knock to your door. As
you open it, you see a large number of Robots marching into your house
destroying everything you own and looting you. This is because ever since there
is an advantage in the Technology, it attracts anti-social elements. This is true
for Robots too.
Ideal Future of AI:
 Want to be as smart as Humans
 Use this AI to help Human in there daily lives
 Recognizing what people are wearing.
 Determining the material properties of something that is
viewed.
 Discriminating general objects from the background.
 Recognizing general objects.
 Recognizing emotion.
Conclusion
 In it’s short existence, AI has increased
understanding of the nature of intelligence
and provided an impressive array of
application in a wide range of areas. It has
sharpened understanding of human
reasoning, and of the nature of intelligence in
general. At the same time, it has revealed the
complexity of modeling human reasoning
providing new areas and rich challenges for
the future.
