• It provides enormous benefits to consumers in terms of ease and cost of
transactions, either through Internet, telephone or other electronic delivery
• But internet banking system is not very familiar with the people in Sri Lanka
• With this project and our research most of the people would get an idea about
this Internet Bank system

4. Terminologies
• Internet Banking - The performance of banking activities via the Internet. Online
banking is also known as "Internet banking" or "Web banking." A good online
bank will offer customers just about every service traditionally available through a
local branch, including accepting deposits (which is done online or through the
mail), paying interest on savings and providing an online bill payment system.

• Our questionnaire includes two sub categories. First half including 11 questions
and second half includes 16 questions
• For increase the efficiency of our survey .we added only multiple choice
questions.

12. Credit card - A card issued by a financial company giving holder an option to
borrow funds, usually at point of sale.
Debit card – A payment card that deducts money directly from a consumer’s
checking account to pay for a purchase.
Visa card – A credit, debit or prepaid card branded by visa Inc. It can be used
to withdraw money from the ATM machine and also be used to pay for
purchases.
Cheque – A negotiable instrument drawn against deposit funds, to pay a
specified amount of money to a specific person upon demand.

17. Most of people think that there is not enough safety in the internet banking
service in Sri Lanka.
People are not happy with this system , because they are not familiar with the
e-banking and always see the opposite side of the good.
We need to improve this system by
1) Modifying our current rules and regulations ,more infective
for future.
2)Use new technology to improve the users of internet banking.

13% of people completely trust the internet banking.
17% of people completely do not trust the internet banking.

It is better to use new technology to improve Internet Banking service.

• According to the analyzed data we cannot satisfy with Internet Banking services
in Sri Lanka.
• There are lot of facts to be improved. Specially The view of society about
Internet banking should be changed.
