The seminar presentation discussed wireless power transmission using WiTricity technology. There are three types of wireless power that differ in range and transfer method: short range uses inductive coupling, medium range uses resonant induction, and long range uses electromagnetic waves. WiTricity provides wireless power transfer through resonant magnetic fields that can penetrate obstacles and is safe for living beings. The technology could make devices more convenient by eliminating power cords and batteries, and more environmentally friendly by reducing disposable battery usage.
APPLICATION OF NANO-TECHNOLOGY IN MEDICAL FIELDKanchan Ramteke
Nanotechnology involves manipulating matter at the atomic and molecular scale. It has many potential applications in medicine. Nanoparticles can be used for more precise drug delivery and targeted cancer treatment. Surgical instruments and robots at the nanoscale could enable minimally invasive microsurgeries. Future applications may include nanorobots injected into the body to repair cells or detect infections and diseases. Nanotechnology promises to revolutionize healthcare by enabling new diagnostic and therapeutic capabilities at the smallest of scales.
The document provides a roadmap for the field of quantum technologies (QT) in Europe over the next 10 years. It summarizes a previously published 150-page QT roadmap and outlines the current status and future challenges for four domains of QT: quantum communication, quantum computation, quantum simulation, and quantum sensing and metrology. It also discusses the important cross-cutting areas of quantum control, theory, and software. The roadmap serves to guide the priorities of the European quantum flagship initiative in developing QT over the coming decade on a global scale.
This document provides an introduction to magnetic levitation and its applications. It discusses the basic principles of magnetism and how magnetic fields are created. It then explains the different types of magnetic levitation, including using permanent magnets, electromagnets, and superconductive magnets. Applications of magnetic levitation that are discussed include novelty toys like levitating globes, fast food toys, and high-speed train transportation systems. Magnetic levitation for trains uses electromagnetic forces from superconducting magnets on the train and coils on the track to both levitate and provide lateral guidance for the train as it moves.
1. The document discusses different types of magnetism, including ferromagnetism.
2. Ferromagnetism is described as the strongest type of magnetism, which is why it is used in many technological devices. Everyday examples include refrigerator magnets.
3. Ferromagnetic materials become magnetic due to the alignment of electron spins within the material. At temperatures above the Curie point, the electron spins become disordered and the material loses its magnetism.

An electric dipole is formed by two equal and opposite charges separated by a small distance. Many molecules have their positive and negative centers of charge in different locations, causing them to behave as permanent electric dipoles like CO, H2O, NH3, and HCl. The electric dipole moment vector points from the negative charge to the positive charge and its magnitude is calculated as the product of one of the charges and the distance between them. Water molecules have a permanent electric dipole moment due to the separation of positive hydrogen atoms and the negative oxygen atom.

Ionic, covalent, metallic, hydrogen, and Van Der Wall's bonding are the main types of bonding. Ionic bonding occurs between positive and negative ions, covalent bonding involves sharing electrons between atoms, and metallic bonding involves loosely bound electrons in metal atoms that form an electron cloud. Hydrogen bonding arises from electrostatic attraction between hydrogen atoms partially charged by covalent bonds. Van Der Wall's bonding involves weak, temporary bonds between molecules of the same substance.

Columns are an important structural member that carry compressive loads and bending moments. They are composed of concrete reinforced with embedded steel. Columns make up 11% of a building's weight but must support 100% of the total weight. Reducing column size or number is not advisable. Column alignment and the moment of inertia 'I' value are also important, with a higher I providing more resistance to bending and deflection. Proper casting, curing, and avoiding honeycombing or voids are crucial for column strength.
1) Geophysical surveys have been using measurements of the Earth's magnetic field for nearly 500 years since Gilbert showed that the Earth behaves like a large magnet.
2) Gravity and magnetic surveying methods are similar in that they both measure naturally occurring fields (potential fields), can use identical physical representations like magnetic monopoles, and have similar data acquisition and interpretation.
3) However, magnetic surveying also has differences from gravity - magnetic susceptibility of rocks can vary more than density, magnetism can be attractive or repulsive unlike gravity, magnetic sources always occur in pairs unlike gravity, and the magnetic field is time-dependent unlike gravity.
Reinforced concrete columns and beams are important structural elements that carry compressive and bending loads respectively. Columns can be categorized as short or long based on their height-width ratio and as spiral or tied columns based on their shape. Beams are classified based on their supports as simply supported, fixed, continuous, or cantilever beams. The construction of RCC columns and beams involves laying reinforcement, forming the structure, and pouring concrete to create these load-bearing elements.
Reinforced concrete is well-suited for constructing stairs due to its fire resistance, durability, strength, and pleasing appearance. R.C.C. stairs can be designed in various forms including straight flights, inclined slabs with half landings, string beams, cranked slabs, cantilevers, and spirals. The type of stair adopted depends on the space and loading conditions. Common stair arrangements include single straight flights, inclined slabs spanning longitudinally, string beams with horizontal slab spanning, cranked slabs inducing bending and torsion stresses, cantilever stairs with central supporting walls, and spiral or helical stairs used in prestige buildings.

Thermal insulation reduces unwanted heat transfer and can decrease energy demands for heating and cooling. It works by slowing heat transfer through conduction, convection, and radiation. Common insulation materials include mineral wool, plastic foams, and natural fibers. Proper insulation of walls, attics, windows, doors, and air sealing is important for thermal comfort and energy efficiency in buildings located in both hot and cold climates.
Water leakage causes damage to structures and its contents Reinforcement corrosion , delamination, accelerated aging and increased maintenance costs are all serious concerns
Application design requirement specification for water demand , and water seepage study and investigation to locate the source of the seepage will reduce future damage to the structure and reduce maintenance costs. There are many reasons for water
leakage in buildings, some cases are caused by defective water pipes, sanitary fittings or drainage pipes or rain water leakage from roof and walls . Water leakage may come from dilapidated pipes in adjacent flats or even from inside the same flat. It may also be due to water seeping through common areas, such as the roof or external walls due to poor workmanship or inadequate design.
If water leakage is found in roof or walls or water supply or sewerage pipes and fitting and fixtures a proper investigation of the cause needs to be carried out
This document discusses different methods for measuring the permeability of concrete, including initial surface absorption tests, modified Figg permeability tests, and in situ rapid chloride ion permeability tests. It also describes how infrared thermography can be used to detect internal defects in concrete by measuring differences in heat transfer through sound versus defective areas.

Waterproofing Challenges and Suggested Remedial measures for High Rise Buildi...IJSRD
Leakage can occur in both old and new constructions. Mostly it has been witnessed in old constructions. This indeed is a major problem faced by the buildings. As it is affecting both exterior and interior look of buildings and also causing damage to structural members. It also harms paint of the wall. The problem includes survey of not only leakage, but also dampness and seepage in the residential blocks. This study provide a better and more scientifically based understanding of the role of waterproofing materials to assist the prevention of moisture from penetrating sub-grade walls and slabs. The significance of the research topic is to provide a review of the development of waterproofing materials in implementing waterproofing system in building industry with some case study reference in the current market in India.

Waterproofing describes making an object waterproof or water-resistant.
Building water-proofing is a process which is designed to prevent water from penetrating a building.
Usually extensive waterproofing measures are added to a building at the time of construction, to provide moisture control from the start
Waterproofing may also be done after a building is built, to address problems as they emerge or as part of a building retrofit
Internal areas that are waterproofed include :
bathrooms,
shower recesses,
laundries
toilets.

Traps and manhole aditya kumar barn1 ar14002Aditya kumar
Traps are fittings used to prevent foul gases from entering buildings through soil or waste pipes. Traps retain a small amount of water that forms a seal against gas passage. They are usually P-shaped and must be self-cleaning to allow waste to pass through while maintaining the water seal. Manholes provide access for maintenance of underground utility lines like sewers. They have protective covers and steps within to access the underground space safely. Proper installation and design of manholes and their supports is needed to prevent structural failures over time.
The building envelope is physical separator between the exterior and the interior of the building and fenestration systems.
Envelope design strongly affects the visual and thermal comfort of the occupants, as well as energy consumption in the building.

Brochure Hydropath trattamento calcare domestico e industrialeGREENTECH SRL

NOTA: VERSIONE OLD, VEDI LA VERSIONE NUOVA

Why is Revit MEP Outsourcing considered an as good option for construction pr...MarsBIM1
Outsourcing MEP modeling services require effective collaboration and coordination amongst multiple engineering trades. The engineers and the designers often change the details of the MEP projects, but the work of Revit MEP drafting services is having the master plan and model of the complete project. To have proper coordination and installation, there is a need to execute the project effectively. Hence, the work of Revit family creation facilitates the MEP engineers.

37. Aquapol Device Structure
Schematic drawing of the Aquapol device:
1) Receiver
2) Polarisation unit
3) Transmitters
1.
The receiver, a flat coiled spiral, is located in the lower part
of the device. It absorbs a natural earth field with
gravomagnetic characteristics.
2.
The polarisation unit consists of a cylindrical coil with
selective receiver and transmitter characteristics. This part
of the device polarises the received gravo-magnetic waves
stably in a clockwise manner.
3.
The transmitter consists of three circular transmitter coils
(cylinder air-core coil design), each shifted by 120 degrees.
This transmitter sends the clockwise polarised power field
downward into the so-called active area.
