In your groups of four you must decide on the following roles:- (i) Team leader (ii) Accountant (iii) Pitch manager (iv) Time keeper / Graphic Designer You must produce a logo, design a mood-board, source the items, which ultimately will lead to your group producing the final design whereby you will then pitch your product to gain the contract from the Olympic Committee. If you don’t come up to scratch....then  ‘You’re Fired!’ You have until  1400hrs  to prepare your pitch to a ‘real’ life member of the public. Role Cards:- Team Leader Your job today is to CO-ORDINATE the other three members of the group. You will be in charge, and have the final say on all the decisions.  HOWEVER you can delegate tasks to other people in the group.
Role Cards:-Accountant Your main job today is to organise the FINANCES of the group. You must complete the Financial audit sheet. You must liaise in particular with the TEAM LEADER. You may be called upon to present your findings during the actual pitch. Furthermore you may be asked by your TEAM  LEADER to contribute to other areas of the task (i.e. Drawing the products)
Role Cards:-Pitch manager The main thing to remember about your job today is to attend the Presentation Workshop in DR1 straight after break today @ 1125 hours. You must take on board all the hints ‘n’ tips from Mr Banks and Mr Richardson and take these back to the group. You are under no obligation to deliver / lead on the pitch – however you must advise the group re- your input. Furthermore just because you have been to this briefing does not mean that you cannot be given any further tasks by your team leader.
Role Cards:-Graphic Designer / Time Keeper Your job today is to design the logo for your product. In order to do this – you are the only member of your group who is allowed to go to the ELC to produce the finished piece of work. You must then bring this back to your group and add it to your mood board. Just because you have done this task does not mean that your Team Leader cannot ask you to contribute on other tasks / speak in the presentation.

Prompt card: Visitor Group comes in and has 30 seconds to set-up for pitch Time 3 minutes on Stop Watch : Pitch to last this length of time. If group finishes early then sit in silence and do not ask them any questions/ etc 2 minutes Q/A . Probe group on the fine details of their pitch : i.e. costings/ resourcing / Fair-Trade element. SWOT analysis? – Strengths, Weakness, Opportunities, Threats Probe group on the PLTS – how well did they work? TEAM WORKER/ CREATIVE THINKERS / EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATORS. How well did the people in the group do when they went off on their own? SELF MANAGERS/INDEPENDENT ENQUIRERS? Are the group REFLECTIVE LEARNERS? What would they do differently? Try to get the group to comment on each other’s performance – like they do in The Apprentice How well did the group leader think s/he did? How well did the other group members think they did?
